Gaynor, who happens to be passing, agrees, “Neither do I!” Eifion thought that Mark would understand, as a false accusation was made against him too; he walks off in disgust.

Then Diane appears on the scene, insisting that, according to Dai, Jim was responsible for the accident.

Jim quickly replies, “It was his scaffolding which was not secure!” Then he repeats, “I’m finished with APD, and that is the end of it!”

Sara bluntly replies, “Well, I’m glad you’re happy. Do you want to have an abortion? Come on, answer me – if the test says the baby definitely has Downs, will you want me to get rid of it?”

DJ maintains that his defensive attitude looks suspicious. “I don’t need to defend myself – I haven’t done anything!” shouts Eifion.

Cadno brings their lunch out to the field, and DJ is told that she and Eifion are going to an unofficial gathering at the Deri, organised by Dani, as the funeral is to be private.

Siôn tells Mark in the Deri that he enjoys the plumbing work,

Mark is quick to leap to Siôn’s defence; “He’s been working very hard for me, fitting a new radiator – and he fixed the toilet seat.”

Jason tells Sara he is sorry if he gave her the wrong impression; she replies, “I can’t believe I took that test if it doesn’t make any difference!” He maintains that no-one knows how they will feel or react until they are in the situation.

“We are in the situation!” rages Sara, “The CVS test will only confirm what I’ve accepted.”

As DJ leans on the gate, Eifion tells Cadno, “We’ve upset him again, havent we?

“Perhaps I shouldn’t have the afternoon off, after all – it’s not as if we’re going to the funeral, anyway. I’ve been thinking, and doubt if Angela will stay away.”

Cadno agrees that it would be odd not to attend her own daughter’s funeral.
DJ approaches, and Cadno emphasises that Eifion has been like a father to Courtney lately.

and Eifion warns him that if he says that again, he will get his head knocked off. Undeterred, DJ repeats, “Well, you were close. It’s not safe to say anything on this farm any more!”
