Siôn and Iolo walk up a hill with panoramic views; “You can leave the Rhondda for decades . . .” Siôn begins.

Iolo finishes his sentence, “But the Rhondda never leaves you – such a cliché!”

| "I regret going to university" |
Siôn explains that the community is so close-knit here, and he has had such a warm welcome since coming home. He regrets going to university, as education uproots people and takes them away from where they grew up.

| He is very scathing about Cwmderi's inhabitants |
“The people of Cwmderi are not worth the bother – all they’ve done is stab me in the back!” Iolo points out that he let a lot of people down when he stole the money from Bethania, but Siôn argues, “They haven’t tried to understand why I did it – the people of the Rhondda are different – they stick together.”
Siôn even accuses Iolo of not trying to understand;

| "You have to go to court!" |
he answers, “I have no problem with you moving to live here, but you have to go to court first and be sentenced.” His father demands why he should suffer for Siôn White’s stupidity, arguing that he has a new life now.
Iolo pleads with him to come home, as he is getting married soon,

| "There's no point in you staying!" |
but Siôn’s response is, “If you and Tyler are happy, it doesn’t matter whether I am there or not. My shift is starting soon, and I won’t change my mind, so there is no point in you staying.”
“You’ve lost the plot!” shouts Iolo, “You’ve made your bed – now you can lie on it!”

| Off he goes towards the Cash and Carry |
and they walk off in opposite directions.

| "Iolo's gone to see his Dad" |
When Dani and Kelly arrive at number 7 and are told where Iolo is, they are glad he can talk to his father and sort things out. “All the wedding stuff has been delivered – and it’s lush!” enthuses Dani.

| "Do I have to force the truth out of you?" |
Gwyneth arrives, demanding to speak to Iolo, and when told he is not there, snarls at Tyler, “Has he gone to see Siôn? Do I have to force the truth out of you?”

| She is told to leave |
Dani and Kelly come to Tyler’s aid and order her out of the house, but not before she has threatened,

| "Your life won't be worth living!" |
“If anything happens to Siôn, I’ll hold you responsible! Your life won’t be worth living!”

| "If that's your attitude, you can pack your bags!" |
Tyler is equally forceful; “I that’s your attitude, you can pack your bags! Iolo and I own Y Felin now! He gave us the place as a wedding present.” Threatening that no-one is going to throw her out, Gwyneth at last leaves.
At the Cash and Carry, it is Siôn’s first day on the tills;

Jackie is there, shopping for the care home. Siôn apologises for Iolo’s behaviour;

| He blames the social media |
“Youngsters don’t have the skills to hold a conversation,” he says, “I blame it on social media.”
Jackie suddenly remembers she promised Jack Evans she would get him some Wagon Wheels and dashes off to find them.

Simon tells Siôn, “She’s like a daughter to everyone in that care home – one in a million!”

| All the requirements for a wedding |
Tyler is taken to the Deri flat to see all these wedding clothes, but cannot rouse much enthusiasm;

Kelly takes a fancy to the bride’s dress, as she assumes they will not be wanting it.

Tyler has a text from Iolo that he is on his way home,

and Dani assures him there is nothing to worry about now.

| "Ask me any question" |
Simon wants Siôn to test him with a quiz book, as it is the pub quiz tonight; Siôn is invited to join their team.

| "Take me to see him – now!" |
As soon as Iolo arrives back in the village, Gwyneth is there; “I know you’ve been to see your father! Take me to see him – now!”

| "He wants people to leave him alone" |
Iolo replies that Siôn wants people to leave him alone, but she is having none of this.

| "Kicking me out of Y Felin!" |
“You’re determined to destroy our relationship – kicking me out of Y Felin, so you and lover-boy can move in!” Iolo maintains that Tyler had no right to tell her that.

| "I'll burn your van, and the tools!" |
“Don’t think for one minute that is going to happen!” Gwyneth continues to rant, “Tell me where he is, or I’ll burn your van, and the tools – I wouldn’t care if you’re in it! Tyler will end up burying you, not marrying you!”

| Tyler spills the beans |
This scares Tyler, who blurts out, “He’s in the Rhondda, in his father’s house! Just leave us alone!”

| "You could be lying in the cemetery!" |
Inside number 7, Tyler insists, “If I hadn’t told her, you could be lying in the cemetery with Brandon,” but Iolo maintains that his father is in no mental state to talk to her.

| "This should bring us closer together" |
“Let them sort it out – you’ve got your own life!” Tyler advises him, “I know this is difficult, but it should bring us closer together.”
Iolo is about to storm off upstairs, complaining, “You just don’t think – that’s your problem!” Then Dani and Kelly come in with a bottle, to celebrate;

Iolo asks, “Celebrate what? The Whites being in a mess?”
Tyler explains that Iolo is angry with him for revealing where Siôn is, as Gwyneth threatened to kill Iolo.

Kelly is adamant they must support Iolo; “He has been to hell and back these last few weeks!”

At Y Felin, Gwyneth rifles though the desk drawers

and finds a letter from Siôn’s father; she looks very determined.

| Jackie brings thank you flowers |
Jackie brings round flowers to thank Siôn for the meal last night; he reminisces about Gwen, and she admires him for bringing up his three boys on his own.

| "I thought you remarried" |
“I thought Leighton mentioned you remarried,” she says, but he replies that his father was confusing him with his brother.

| By this time, Iolo has simmered down |
Iolo has now calmed down; “I don’t know how you put up with me,” he admits, “We need to decide how to celebrate, whether Dad is here or not.”

| "This friend of mine went for a wedding cancellation!" |
Kelly relates how a friend found a wedding cancellation, and went for it. Iolo answers that Tyler has plenty of time to organise it,

and Dani suggests that, to avoid any more stress, he should leave Tyler to arrange everything. Iolo thinks this a good idea – but within reason.

| The PC wants to talk about his assault |
Then a police constable calls, telling Iolo that this is nothing to do with his father, but rather the assault which was made on him. “Can we talk in private somewhere?” the PC asks.

| Siôn says he comes from a little village . . . |
In the back garden at Tylorstown, Jackie has has a call from her daughter, Lowri; “Her husband comes from Llanelli,” she says, so Siôn points out that he is from a little village out in the country.

“It used to be nice, but now it’s dying on its feet,” he relates, “The chapel and pub will close before long. Our villages are full of middle-class snobs, who believe it’s their right to take over our communities – but everyone is equal here, and that will never change!”

As Jackie heads back to her house, Siôn asks her to accompany him to the pub quiz tonight

and she agrees.

When the policeman has gone, Iolo tells them he has to go to the station in the morning to look at photos to see if he recognises his attacker, as the girl in custody is denying everything. Then he hurries off to see what Gwyneth plans to do.

At the pub quiz, the MC announces that the winners are Barry and the Islands, which Siôn hails with great delight.

Having adjourned to the Deri, Dani panics about the looming wedding, and Tyler wonders whether to cancel the whole thing.

Iolo comes in, telling them, “Gwyneth is not at Y Felin – I bet she’s gone to Tylorstown. I’ve tried to warn Dad she’s coming, but he’s not answering. I’ve done my best to help him, but he’s so selfish! I’ve got to go to the police in the morning, so,

After their enjoyable evening out, Siôn and Jackie walk down the hill,

and she gives him a peck on the cheek as she goes in through her back gate.

At that moment, a motorcycle arrives at the top of the lane,
