Again, Gethin cannot contact Garry

Next morning, Gethin tries to contacts Garry again;  when Ffion comes in, feeling slightly better, 

"Gethin, I'm so sorry!"

she emphasises how sorry she is, 

"This is not your fault!"

but he reminds her that Craig did this, not her.

“But I don’t understand why he did it – you know I don’t want to drink, don’t you?” she pleads, “But I didn’t try to fight him!”   Gethin lets Garry in, and starts to explain to Ffion that there is more to Craig than she knows.   

"What exactly happened?"

With a very stern face, Garry comes in and wants to know exactly what happened.

"Sorry for telling your mother"

Ed apologises to Sioned for telling her mother about the pill, but she does not reply.   When Eileen comes in, he leaves, as he has a fare to Carmarthen.

Rather stupid, putting the empty bottle back in the fridge

Eileen finds the milk bottle empty, but Sioned replies that there is a whole fridge full of the stuff downstairs.   

"You're the one who lied!"

“I don’t know why you’re angry with me – you’re the one who lied!” Eileen tells her, “Why did you do it?   A baby is not going to stop him going off with other women.”

"We've got over that"

Sioned protests that Angela was ‘a mistake’, that they have got over that and Ed has changed.   

"He was flirting with Vicky!"

Eileen answers, “Men like Ed never change – I saw him flirting with that Vicky yesterday!”

"Tell me what is going on!"

Ffion demands, “Will someone tell me what’s going on?   You know him, don’t you?”   

"Yes, I do know Craig"

Garry admits, “Yes, I do know Craig, but what happened was nothing to do with me.”   Ffion argues that as this man has been in their home, she should be told.

"He was dumping a body in the pit"

Gethin relates that he tricked his way in and forced Ffion to drink alcohol.   “I caught him in the garage yesterday, dumping a body in the pit – 

Ffion realises the sort of person they are dealing with 

“that’s why he came here, to warn me to keep quiet.   I promise we’re going to sort everything out.”   

Garry wants Gethin to go with him, but Ffion is wary of being left on her own;  “I’m frightened I’ll want to . . .” she whimpers, 

"You're strong enough to do this!"

but Gethin assures her that she is strong enough and that he trusts her.

Sheryl does not appreciate Hywel's shopping

Hywel comes in with the shopping, including jars of baby food, but Sheryl now insists that she is going to prepare all Esther’s organic food herself;  “Only the best for Mami’s little angel!” she says.

"Now everything is sorted with Esther . . ."

Hywel begins, “I thought now that everything is sorted with Esther . . .”

“What?” snaps Sheryl, “That I’d forget everything that’s happened between you and me?”   Hywel suggests that they now have all that they wanted, but she demands, “Have we?” and decides to take Esther for a walk.

"You've ticketed one of my best customers!"

In the Deri, Megan complains to Eifion, who has issued a parking ticket to one of her best customers;  “She was only there for five minutes, delivering stock!”   

"Nothing I can do, Megan"

Eifion is unsympathetic, insisting that the rules apply to everyone.

"I'm pleased you're both happy"

Sheryl comes in, and Megan says that she is pleased that she and Hywel are happy, adding the comment, “Life won’t always be easy, will it?”

"Keep your eyes and hands off my husband!"

Sioned goes on the warpath and tracks down Vicky in the street;  “You want to be more careful!” she snarls, Keep your eyes and hands off my husband!   I know you’ve been throwing yourself at him – but you’re not going to get him!”   

"I don't want him!"

Vicky assures Sioned that she does not want him 

Sioned does not like being ignored

and walks away.

"It might have been a dummy"

Standing in the garage, Garry asks, “You didn’t see whose body it was then?   It might be a dummy, to try and scare us.”

Gethin replies, “Whatever you and your dodgy mates have been up to, you’ve got no right to drag Ffion into it!”   

"This affects my family too"

Garry points out that his family has been affected too, and reveals that it was Craig’s gun which was used by Chester to shoot Britt, and that he was supposed to be keeping it for Craig.   

"Who knows what may happen next?"

Gethin panics that the rest of their families may be targeted next.

"Let's find out what we're dealing with"

Garry recalls that Dani is in London, and he does not intend to do anything until he knows what they are dealing with.   

They are interrupted by Eifion 

He bends down to lift the cover from the pit when Eifion comes in, wanting to book a service for his car, but hurriedly leaves when shouted at by Garry.

They look somewhat surprised

Garry raises the cover, they look down and then at each other, with a baffled expression.   

"It was here yesterday!"

“I don’t understand it!   It was there yesterday!” exclaims Gethin;  

"Well, it's not here today!"

Garry maintains that the important thing is that it is not there today, and demands to know exactly what happened.

"We don't want the cops sniffing around!"

Gethin tells him, and Garry concludes, “We don’t want the cops sniffing around – we don’t know what he was doing before you arrived.   And how would you explain not calling the police yesterday?   They might think you had something to do with it.”

"Promise me you won't call the cops!"

Gethin decides to go and check on Ffion, but Garry urges him, “Promise me you won’t call the cops – you have to trust me on this!   

"And get Ffion to keep her mouth shut"

“If you want to stay alive and out of jail, you need to get Ffion to keep her mouth shut too!”

Sioned has a tantrum

Sioned tries to ring Ed, but only gets a recorded message;  she throws down the phone in a temper.

"I'm disappointed he left us in this mess!"

Eileen is surprised to see Eifion at Penrhewl when she goes to do the shop paperwork in peace.   She expresses disappointment at DJ’s hasty departure, but Eifion is confident that they will be able to sort things out.

Gethin returns home

When Gethin returns to Cysgod y Glyn, Ffion is feeling slightly better, 

Ffion is no less worried, now the body has vanished . . .

and demands if he has phoned the police about the body in the garage.   “It’s not there any more – someone has moved it!” replies Gethin, and warns her not to ring them either.   

. . . but is told it is vital that she says nothing

“Craig is dangerous, and he knows everything about us!” Gethin tells her, “He knows where the children go to school – we can’t take the risk!”

"Make the most of the happy hormones!"

Vicky finds Sheryl in the Deri with Esther;  “Make the most of the happy hormones,” she advises, You won’t be smiling after a few weeks of dirty nappies!   But of course you have Hywel ‘Superdad’ Llywelyn to back you up.”

"It could be the time to change her name to Llywelyn" 

Hywel brings over two cups of tea, and Sheryl says, “I’ve been thinking – I want to baptise her.   I want to do everything right this time – a clean slate for all of us.”   However she does draw the line at Hywel’s suggestion that it is the ideal time to change Esther’s surname to Llywelyn.

"This place needs a proper farmer"

Eifion comes into the farmhouse and tells Eileen, “I still think this place needs a proper farmer.”   Eileen is certain that they can manage between them.

When Garry arrives at Cysgod y Glyn, he finds that Ffion has gone out somewhere.   

Gethin worries that she could be drinking somewhere

Gethin is concerned she might be in a gutter somewhere with a bottle of vodka;  “You should be worried that she’s in a copshop!” says Garry.

"No, the police must not be told!"

Ffion returns, having been speaking to her therapist, still arguing that the police should be involved.   “I know these people – you don’t!” Garry answers, “Someone like him wouldn’t think twice about hurting us or the kids!   The only way to protect Gwern, Arwen and Daniel is for you to keep your mouth shut.   

"If we keep our heads down . . ."

“If we keep our heads down, he’ll have no reason to come back here!”   

"Yes, all right, all right!"

Ffion reluctantly agrees to his demands.

"We want Esther to be baptised at Bethania"

Hywel and Sheryl see Megan in the Deri and raise the possibility of Esther being baptised at Bethania.   

Megan is not sure that will happen

Megan is not optimistic;  “The fire caused such a mess there – we need to hire professionals, and there’s no telling how long the work could take.   I think you should find somewhere else.”

"If we can't have it in the village, we won't do it!"

Sheryl is of the opinion that if they cannot have the ceremony in the village, there is no point in doing it at all.

Ed returns from his fare, moaning about Mrs Ellis, who was going on about her angina, 

"If you're going to be like this –  I'm off to the Deri!"

but Sioned remains silent, so he is about to escape to the Deri.   

"Why do you think so little of me?"

“Why do you think so little of me?” she whines, “There’s no point in denying it – you’ve been flirting with Vicky!”

"I was not flirting!"

Ed denies this, and explains the reason he did not answer his phone was that he was working;  “If you don’t believe me, that’s your problem!” he tells her, and turns to leave.

“Don’t walk away when I’m talking!” shouts Sioned, seizing a conveniently situated plate and throwing it at his head.   

Ed objects to being used for target practice

He ducks, and the plate smashes again the wall.   Ed accuses her of being off her head, but she insists, 

"Why do you always have to hurt me?"

“I’m only upset because you’ve been avoiding me!   You’re not going to win husband of the year!   I don’t trust you!   Why do you always have to hurt me?”

Ed repeats that he loves her and would never hurt her.   

"Promise you'll never look an another woman!"

She snarls, “If you mean that, promise that you’ll never look at another women!   I can’t handle it, Ed!”

"Yes, all right, I promise"

He meekly agrees, 

"I love you so much!"

and stoops down to recover the broken pieces, while Sioned whines, “I only worry because I love you so much!”
