The masked figure kicks the bundle into the pit, as Gethin demands, “Who are you? What are you doing here?”

Taking off his mask, Craig, for it is he, replies that he was not expecting company.

Gethin continues to insist he has a right to know what is going on, as Garry would never give the go-ahead to something like this.

Craig assures him, “Garry won’t say a word!”

| "It's all your fault, Hywel!" |
Sheryl sobs, “I’ve lost her, Hywel – and it’s all your fault!”

| "Yes, that's great – thank you!" |
His phone rings, and as he answers, his face breaks into a broad smile.

| "She can come home!" |
He tells Sheryl, “It’s all over – she can come home! They’ve dropped the charges.” She will not believe him, so he encourages her to listen to her messages;

| Sheryl confirms what he says . . . |
when she does do,

she bursts into tears of joy and hugs him.

| DJ is still armed with the large wrench |
“Come on! Lost your tongue, have you?” taunts DJ, but Eifion calls his bluff and challenges DJ to hit him. “You’re not worth it!” is the reply.
As Eifion accuses him, “You can’t do anything right, can you?” DJ walks out into the farmyard.

As he replaces the lid on the pit, Craig says, “I’m sure you’ve got enough sense not to tell anyone, Gethin! I know a lot about you – Garry owed me a favour, so he’ll understand. If the cops find out, the first person they’ll suspect is Garry.

| "Just forget all about it!" |
“The best thing for you to do is to forget all about it, and keep it to yourself.” He walks threateningly towards Gethin, who runs for his life out of the garage.

Craig makes a phone call; “We’ve got a problem – Gethin something – where does he live?”

| "I can't wait to see her!" |
Hywel and Sheryl approach the salon; she is intent on cleaning the flat before Esther returns. “I can’t believe I’m so happy – I can’t wait to see her!”

Dai arrives at Penrhewl to find DJ furiously sweeping; “I have to leave this place – I don’t belong in Cwmderi any more – I’m going to New Zealand!”

| "Don't let Eifion win!" |
“It’s Eifion, isn’t it? He’s playing with your mind!” says Dai, but DJ insists that he has to leave before he does something he will regret. He must go as far away as possible, and will be leaving today.

In the Deri, Ed is chatting to Vicky about a customer who jumped into the taxi with no shoes on,

| Eileen has brought the vegetables |
when Eileen comes in with the vegetable delivery, and asks where Sioned is. Then the panic-stricken Gethin dashes in, peers out of the window,

and tries to phone Garry, but only hears a recorded message.

| "I have to leave" |
DJ is at the hospital, and as Cadno lies asleep, he tells her, “You look better today – there’s more colour in your cheeks. I have to tell you something – I have to leave. Penrhewl is fine and Eifion farms better than I could.

“Things have got the better of me, and I can’t cope any more.”

| Dai is unable to help |
As Dai watches from the door, DJ continues, “The Health and Safety report came, and said everything I already knew – it’s my fault and nobody else’s. I’ll never forgive myself – I’ve wrecked your life – if only I looked back again to check, none of this would have happened.

“You and everyone else will be better off without me. I don’t deserve you, Cadno – I’m not good enough for you.”

He kisses Cadno, who sleeps on; with tears in his eyes, he adds, “Get well soon. I’ll think of you every day. This is best for everyone.”

As he and Dai leave, Cadno turns over, opens her eyes

and says, “DJ?” but it is too late.

| "Aren't you ashamed of yourself" |
In the Deri, Eileen takes exception to Ed’s laughing and joking with Vicky; “Aren’t you ashamed of yourself, flirting with a married man?” she demands of Vicky, “That’s the reason he and Sioned are not trying for a baby!”

| "I respect marriage – unlike some!" |
Vicky is angered by this, and replies, “For your information, I’m quite fussy – I respect marriage – unlike some! I know your history!”
Eileen snarls, “And I know yours – you’re a little trollop and nothing more!” Ed has had enough of this and orders Eileen out of the pub,

while the infuriated Vicky asks Gethin if he heard what Eileen just called her.
He is more interested in the call from Garry he has just received;

Gethin finds a quiet corner and tells him, “You have to come home straightaway. Someone was in the garage – a tall, bald man –

“and there’s a body in the pit!” Warned by Garry, Gethin then attempts to contact Ffion, but again encounters a recorded message; “Phone me back when you get this message!” he pleads.

Outside the shop, Eileen tells Ed, “I was willing to give you a second chance – I know about you and Angela – but I was ready to forgive you for Sioned’s sake. You’ve gone too far now – I’m going to tell her what a liar she married!”

Ed suggests, “While you’re at it, ask her about the lies she’s been telling about the pill – she tried to trick me into getting her pregnant. Sometimes you need the full story before pointing the finger!”

The social worker brings back Esther, and they all go up to the salon flat.

Ffion is about to check the messages on her phone when the buzzer sounds;

Craig pretends to be checking the meter to gain entry,

| "Can I get you a coffee?" |
and she unsuspectingly offers him a cup of coffee.

| Ffion is incapacitated |
As she goes to the cupboard for biscuits, he grabs her and puts his hand over her mouth.

| "Ed told me about the pill" |
Sioned finds her mother back from Aberystwyth, but Eileen informs her, “I know about the pill – Ed told me!”

| "Oh, that was just a misunderstanding" |
Sioned describes it as a ‘misunderstanding’, but Eileen thinks otherwise. You tried to trick him into having a baby – that’s unforgivable!”
“Ed’s forgiven me, and I don’t know why he told you!” snaps Sioned, “I took the morning after pill, and everything’s fine, so leave it.”

But Eileen continues, “You’re always out to get what you want, and to hell with everyone else! It’s time you grew up – I’ve had to turn my back on one daughter because she’s a liar – if you want to go down the same road,

Ffion screams for help, as Craig ties her to the chair;

she demands who he is and what he wants. “I know what will shut you up and relax you a bit,” he tells her, producing a bottle of vodka,

| "Maybe we could have a drink!" |
“Maybe we could have a drink!”
Ffion does her best to refuse, but he threatens to force her, so she drinks some,

but then defiantly spits it out into his face, which does not improve his humour.

| "You can start the adoption process now" |
The social worker informs Hywel and Sheryl that they can now start the adoption process and leaves the flat. Sheryl is afraid she will wake up and find this is all a dream,

| "She's here to stay now!" |
but is assured by Hywel, “She’s here to stay now – like you I hope. Don’t leave me again, please, Sher!” She simply wants to concentrate on the future.

| "Isn't she with the childminder?" |
Craig looks at the photograph of Arwen; “This is your daughter, isn’t it? Isn’t she with the childminder – in this street? She’s got her mother’s smile – and I’m sure she won’t be so stubborn. Arwen – coming, ready or not!”

| "I'll do anything!" |
Ffion protests that she will do anything, “But leave my little girl alone!”

| "I can stop you with one hand!" |
He instructs her she is to drink all of the vodka, unties her hands and warns that if she tries to run away, he can stop her with one hand; “Then you’d be no good for Arwen!”

| Ffion has no choice but to comply |
Sobbing piteously, Ffion begins drinking the vodka.

| "This is the only way!" |
At Penrhewl, Dai tries to dissuade DJ, but is told, “Things have gone too far already – this is the only way!”

| "Look, this is your home!" |
Dai points out that Cwmderi is his home, and his family and girlfriend are here; what awaits him on the other side of the world?

| "I need a new start!" |
“A new start,” DJ replies, “I have to do what’s right for me! Are you taking me to the airport?”

| "I hope you're happy now!" |
Seeing Eifion passing by, Dai shouts, “I hope you’re happy now!”

Eifion simply smirks and walks into the farmhouse.
Ffion lies, incapable, on the sofa as Craig comments, “Isn’t it nice being able to relax?”

| Gethin wonder what is going on |
When Gethin arrives he is distressed to find Ffion’s state and their ‘visitor’.

Craig tells him, “Welcome home – I would offer you a drink, but Ffion finished the bottle!”

Ffion mumbles that he was going to do something to Arwen, and Gethin promises that he will not say a word.

| "If there is a next time, you'll regret it!" |
Menacingly, Craig responds, “Good! If there is a next time, you’ll regret it! It’s up to you!” He grabs his jacket and leaves.
