Mark has suffered another DIY accident
Mark has injured his hand but,
There are no first aid materials
despite rummaging in various drawers, cannot find any first aid materials, so wraps his hand in a tea-towel and leaves the house.
Dol is not happy to see . . .
Dol has been detailed to clean the café windows when she is surprised to see
. . . that Sam is back with Anita
that Sam is back – and he is with Anita.   He wants to discuss something with Anita back at Llwyncelyn.
"That conversion is more hassle than it's worth!"
Then Mark arrives, wanting a bandage;  he cut the hand when moving slates, and Dol comments, “That conversion is more hassle than it’s worth!”
Gaynor is in a hurry to get to school
As Eifion loads fence posts from APD into the 4x4, he sees Gaynor, but she is in a hurry to get to school;  the GCSE results are out tomorrow.
"Do you think we could start again?"
At Llwyncelyn, Sam asks if Anita has had any thoughts about starting again, telling her that he has missed her.
"We can't just forget the past"
“We don’t have to rush into anything – especially after it finished the way it did,” she replies, “We can’t just forget the past, can we?   You’ve kept a lot of Dilys’s stuff to remind you of the past.”
"I want you to be part of my future"
Sam insists that he wants to look to the future now, and hopes that she will be part of that.   Anita wants some time to think, and leaves.
Dol has bandaged him up
Dol has bandaged up Mark’s hand, and looks forward to a pint to say thank you.   Dai happens to be passing
"Been in the wars again?"
and smirks, “Been in the wars again?”
"Can't you drop the price, Dai?"
Mark is now tired of building work and begs Dai to drop the price.   “Don’t start that again!” snarls Dai, “Which part of the word ‘NO’ don’t you understand?   You shouldn’t have upset the professionals!”
Dol is fed up with life in the café
Dol has already had enough of staying at the café, as Debbie has her working to earn her keep, and concludes,
"We need to get 'slaphead' to change his mind"
“There’s only one thing for it – we need to get slaphead to change his mind somehow.   Meet me after work at the Deri.”
Kelly's front page news
Kelly seems very pleased with her ‘Cwrt Coch in Homophobia Shame’ headline on the Western Post front page until she is confronted by Iolo and Tyler,
"What do you think you're doing?"
who demand what she thinks she is doing.   “Getting back at Russell,” she replies, “He’ll regret being prejudiced now!”
Tyler is very angry that she went behind their backs and splashed their private life over the front page;
"I like my private life to be private!"
“I like my private life to be private!   The last thing we want is everyone talking about us!   You should have kept your nose out.”
"Do you have time for a coffee?"
Eifion delivers fruit from Penrhewl to the café, and Gaynor buys him a coffee;  he thinks he was getting the brush-off earlier, but she explains that she was stressed.
"I know a good way to relieve stress!"
“I know a good way to relieve stress, if you’re interested,” Eifion suggests, “What are you doing later?”
"What's the Welsh for 'pressure'?"
Dol formulates her plan;  “If we can’t get him to change his mind – what’s the Welsh for ‘pressure’?”
"Dai is as stubborn as a mule!"
Mark warns that Dai is as stubborn as a mule, but Dol is thinking in terms of a ‘honeytrap’.
She recalls, “I heard about a woman in London who slept with a millionaire, and then blackmailed him.”
"You're not going to do that?"
Mark grins as he envisages Dol employing these tactics with Dai.
"I get him in a very compromising situation!"
“Maybe I won’t have to sleep with him – I just get him in a very compromising situation, and use that to get a lower price from APD!”
Despite Mark’s increasing doubts about the idea, she goes on, “I’ve still got it, right?   I’m very popular with the boys in Ponty –
"No problem seducing Dai!"
there’ll be no problem seducing Dai!   I’m going to tart myself up!”   As she gets up to leave, the camera pans round
Dai is amused by Dol's scheming
to reveal who is on the other side of the partition, hiding behind a Western Post – Dai, who is sniggering at what he heard.
Gaynor has her house back
Gaynor arrives home to find Sam removing the last of his belongings from Llwyncelyn and cries, “Hallelujah!”   he explains that Anita dod not like seeing all Dilys’s stuff lying around, ands he did not want thyat to stop them getting back together.
"I want the place spotless by seven"
“I’m just glad you’ve done it – and I want the place spotless by seven, as Eifion is coming over,” Gaynor instructs him.
"He's threatening to sue the Post!"
Kelly goes to plead for help from Iolo;  “The bloke from Cwrt Coch has complained – he is adamant he is not prejudiced, and is threatening to sue the Post.   If you and Tyler don’t phone the editor and back me up, I might lose my job!”
"You shouldn't have written the article"
Iolo stresses that she should not have written the article without their consent.
"You're not phoning!"
When Tyler brings in the washing and hears what has happened, he immediately tells Iolo, “You’re not phoning!   Whose side are you on?”
Kelly is told to leave – right now!
and tells Kelly, “You can leave – right now!”
Dol waits in the Deri to put her plan into action;
"People say Scrooge was your father"
when Dai arrives, she offers to buy him a pint.   “Goodness!” he exclaims, “You’re usually on the scrounge!   People in the village says that Scrooge was your father.”
"We should get to know each other better"
Dol suggests that it might be time for them to get to know each other  better,
"Whisky – a large one!"
and Dai tells her, “As it’s midweek, I was going to have a chaser – a whisky – large one!”
Iolo rereads the article . . .
Iolo is looking again at the Western Post article when his phone rings;
. . . then has some good news
he appears pleased with what he hears.
Gaynor has prepared the meal
Gaynor has prepared a meal for Eifion, but as they are about to eat,
Anita collects her scarf
Anita arrives to fetch the scarf she left there earlier;  she notices that all Sam’s boxes have been removed.   Gaynor has no idea where they have gone, adding, “He said it was stopping you rekindling the flame.”
Anita goes off to find Sam
Anita leaves to go in search of Sam,
"Right, where were we?"
while Gaynor and Eifion resume their meal.
"They've made one arrest!"
Iolo tells Tyler about the phone call;  “The police have arrested the woman who attacked me;  the other two are still out there, but it’s a start.”
Tyler considers that she should be punished for being so homophobic,
Tyler sees that Iolo is working on him
but Iolo points out that Kelly was trying to do the same thing to Russell, and all that she wants is justice for them.   Tyler reminds him that the police did not go behind their backs,
"That's great news, Iol!"
Iolo tells Kelly, who has just walked in, about the arrest,
Then they try to change Tyler's mind
and the two of them attempt to persuade Tyler to phone her editor to confirm her story.
"Oh, all right, then"
After a short while he capitulates;
"Nice one, Tyler!"
“Nice one, Tyler!” exults Kelly.
Dai marvels at Dol's exploits
Dai sounds incredulous;  “You served JPR Williams and Gareth Edwards in that pub?”
"Oh yes, we were good mates"
Dol confirms that they were good mates, back in the day.   When Dan, the barman, enquires if they want another drink, Dai replies, “Why not – if she’s paying?”
"We'll have the place to ourselves"
Dol, however is running out of money, and has an alternative suggestion;  “Why don’t we go to my flat – they’re all out tonight, so we’ll have the whole place to ourselves.”
"I shouldn't really intrude"
Dai is not sure that he should intrude.
“Come on, it would be a laugh!” Dol entices him, “I’d love some company – It would be so cosy there!”
"For seduction?   For blackmail?"
“Cosy for what?” demands Dai, “For some seduction?  Some blackmail?   I heard you and Mark talking.   Stuff your renovation!”
Mark witnesses Dol described as a 'floozy' . . .
Mark has arrived nearby at the end of the bar, and hears Dai add, “If you think for one moment I’d cheat on Diane with a floozy like you, you’re more stupid than I thought!”
He gets up, swigs the remains of his drink and says, “Tata, Mata Hari!”
. . . and they all hear it as well
As he passes Mark, he comments, “You can stop looking at me like that as well!”
"That went well, didn't it?"
Mark comments to Dol that her plan went well.
Eifion is confident of his chat-up line . . .
Full of himself, Eifion enquires, “How are the stress levels?   Better open another bottle!   Why don’t I come to school after you’ve finished and take you somewhere nice?   You can give me a tour of the school – It would be very exciting in the Headmistress’s office!”
. . . but Gaynor is becoming less impressed
Gaynor’s demeanour changes;  “If you think for one moment I’d consider that, you can think again!”
"I don't want you to get rid of everything"
Anita finds Sam at number 7, with all his belongings;  she tells him “I don’t want you to get rid of everything.
"I'd be a fool to turn you down"
“Now I’ve had time to think, the fact that you were willing to get rid of them shows you’re a thoughtful man.    I’d be a fool to turn you down –
It appears they are giving it another go
do you think we can give it another go?”
"It's no big deal!"
Eifion argues that it was only an idea, and wonders why it is such a big deal.
Gaynor now seems to find him repulsive
Gaynor is furious;  “Do you really think I’d do such a thing?   People have the key to my office.   I am the head, and I’d never do that on school premises – I could lose my job, and my career is one of the most important things in my life!
"You had better leave!"
I’m not risking it for you or anyone else!   You have no respect for me, so you’d better leave!”

Eifion asks if she is throwing him out.
"Shut the door behind you – you swine!"
Gaynor is unequivocal;  “Yes!   Shut the door behind you – you swine!”
