Mark has also made toast when Stacey asks him if he has a moment; “How much do you want?” he replies.

She explains that she wants him to phone Hywel, pretending to be from OFCOM, and lodge a complaint, thinking that she may be able to persuade Hywel that she should run CwmFM while he is away.

“Why are you so keen to get this job?” he enquires, and she tells him she needs to start again as a businesswoman instead of being a skivvy in Awyr Iach. Mark dismisses the idea;

Siôn invites Sara to the party, but she is so busy she will not be able to attend.

Then Megan approaches and tells him she has had a few sleepless nights after Britt’s outburst. He consoles her that nothing more will come of it.

“but there’s no-one to open the chapel, so there will be no service at Bethania, as I can’t get anyone to take my place. Will you tell everyone?” Siôn agrees to do so, but wonders how many people will care.

Sara finds Mark in the Deri and demands why Stacey has not turned up for work; he invents a tale of her being very pale and having a sore throat.

Sara leaves, complaining, “She could have phoned – I have a business to run!”

Siôn offers to call in at Hywel’s flat each day while he is away; “The next job is to find someone to run CwmFM,” Hywel says, and when Siôn suggests Stacey, he adds,

“What’s that old saying? Don’t mix business and ex-wives! She tried to kiss me last week!”
Then he has the idea that Sara could run it for him, but Siôn points out she is busy with Awyr Iach.

Then he asks about Sheryl, but is told that Hywel has not been able to speak to her; he will contact the charity tonight to talk to her,

Britt passes them, and on seeing the photo on the invitation,

comments, “Looking at that photo, anyone would think the sun shone from each and every orifice!” Hywel informs Siôn that he heard about her antics on Friday night and advises him to simply ignore her.

At 12:27, Sioned receives a text from Ed, asking how she is this morning,

then Megan comes in wanting to see Eileen, who is at the Cash and Carry. On seeing the leaflets, Sioned is indignant;

“No Sunday service? There must be someone to open up – Auntie Marian would be heartbroken if the service is cancelled! There will be nothing left in the village at this rate!”

However, when Megan suggests the perhaps she could do it, Sioned pleads that she is too busy. Megan laments, “Where are the Auntie Marians of this world?”

Hywel pops into the café and tells Sara that he wants her to run CwmFM while he is away, but of course she emphasises how life is far too hectic at Awyr Iach with Jason away.

Chester wants Britt to give him a lift to the cinema this evening, as all his mates are going to see a film. She is unable to do so as she is working at the Deri. “If you’d stayed with Siôn, I would have had a lift!” he moans, “Thanks for ruining your children’s lives!”

Mark capitulates and agrees to phone Hywel; “That’s what you want to hear, isn’t it? But I’m not pretending to be someone else – I’ll just ask him to give you the job.” Stacey quickly gets her iPhone and dials Hywel’s number.

Hywel is at Y Felin, giving the flat keys to Siôn, when he receives the call; he is disappointed it is not from Sheryl.

“Listen, Stacey doesn’t know I’m phoning,” says Mark, “But she has been wittering on about this job at CwmFM – would you be willing to reconsider? I know you have an awkward history with her, and she can be a handful, but she’ll work her socks off! Don’t tell her I phoned – or I’ll be dead meat!”

Megan next arrives at Maes-y-Deri, to ask Mark to distribute her posters with his round. “Sioned was furious that the chapel will be closed,” she says, but Mark points out that she never attends the chapel.

“Bethania has become a millstone round my neck!” admits Megan, and Mark tells her that a few days’ holiday will make her as good as new.

Hywel replies that the charity have not heard from her for a while – she must have moved somewhere else, and after all it is a vast country. “My brother worked in Uganda for a spell, but now he’s in Nigeria,” Siôn tells him,

Megan continues, “I’ve been thinking about what you said – you’re quite right, we should have a service at Bethania on Sunday, so if you can arrange the flowers, phone the guest preacher and let everyone know, the chances are you’ll get your service! Here are all the details.”

Hywel has called Stacey to CwmFM and asks if she is still interested in the job; “I may have been rather hasty before, and your brother’s a nice bloke, phoning to say how much you wanted the job.”

“What? I’ll kill him!” replies Stacey.

At that moment Sara happens to walk in, complaining as usual; “No wonder your business folded! You’re so lazy! You arrive late and leave early – but you can have a lie-in tomorrow – you’re sacked!”

Stacey proudly announces that she is the new manager of CwmFM, which brings the comment from Sara, “He offered me that job at lunchtime, but unlike you, I’m a successful businesswoman with no spare time!”

Turning to Hywel, she snarls, “You’re scraping the bottom of the barrel!” before walking out.

Chester has been unable to get a lift to Carmarthen, so instead demands money from Britt for a Chinese takeaway, as she has spoiled his night. Britt protests she has no cash,

Megan interrupts and offers to take Chester to Carmarthen; of course he refuses, and she continues, “It upset me to hear you talk to your mother like that! She has suffered a lot lately.” He replies that it was all her own fault.

“Siôn has made his fair share of mistakes!” blurts out Megan, before realising she should not have done so.

“What mistakes?” Chester immediately demands, “You mean that what Mam said was true? He did steal money from the chapel?” Megan tells him to forget everything she said, then walks away, very embarrassed.

Stacey arrives back at Maes-y-Deri and advises Mark, “You’re looking at CwmFM’s new manager! You fancy a takeaway – my treat?” Mark is very receptive to this idea,

but she hands over the money, asking, “Can you get it? My feet are hurting.” He tells her he is glad she is not going back to London after all.

Siôn waylays Chester in the Deri; “Would you like to come to the party on Friday? I know your mother can’t come, but you’re free to do what you think is right.”

Britt asks, “Where’s my official invitation, then?” Siôn reminds her she said she could not come, so she adds, rather ominously, “A woman can change her mind.”

Sioned comes in and returns the keys to Megan, apologising that she had no right to talk to her like that.

“Closing one Sunday is neither here nor there,” she comments and hands Megan a box of chocolates.
Megan says, “Perhaps we’ll see you in Bethania the following Sunday?” and Sioned replies that it is possible. Then Megan turns to Chester;

“No, and I won’t say anything, I promise!” Chester assures her,
