Mark lies in his hospital bed, wired up to a monitor;

| "How are you feeling?" |
Debbie comes in and asks how he is feeling. “Like I’ve been hit by a bus!” is the reply.
She reads out some cards she has brought,including one from Dol, who writes, “Get well soon – I’ve got no-one to shout at!”

| The septicaemia is being dealt with |
Debbie is glad that he is out of intensive care, and he reports that the antibiotics are now tackling the septicaemia.

| "The Grim Reaper's failed again!" |
“There – the Grim Reaper’s failed again! It was all down to that cut I had,” he tells her. She remarks that they have already buried him once, and do not want to do it again.

| "I threw the letter away" |
Hywel drops into Awyr Iach and has a cup of tea with Jason; when asked about it, Hywel says he has thrown away the anonymous letter and considers that the best thing is to forget all about it.

| "I've got important news!" |
Sara comes rushing in with important news,

| "Oh – you're here!" |
but when she sees Hywel there, she tries to put it into code;

| "We've got a 'new client'!" |
“We’ve got a new client! You know, the one you’ve wanted to have for a while!”
Jason does not understand her, but leaves to make some deliveries;

| "OK, see you tonight!" |
“We’ll celebrate tonight,” she tells him as he goes.

| A further clue to what is exciting her |
After Hywel has also left, she clutches her stomach and looks happy.

| Sheryl finds a passport |
Sheryl finds a Ugandan passport in a drawer, but when she takes it into the salon, there is a letter by the door;

| A letter has arrived |
she picks it up.

| "You should go home and rest" |
Mark insists that Debbie looks tired, and should go home to rest; she scolds him for missing several of his kidney tablets this last week, which may have contributed to his problems.

| "It's all this work you've been doing" |
“But they said it could also be down to all this work you’ve been doing on the house. You’re recovering – that’s all that matters.”

| "I don't want him to see me like this" |
Then she does go home, as Mark assures her he is not going anywhere, but he warns her not to bring Ricky to visit him; “I don’t want him to see me like this.”

| Arwen has grown |
As Ffion prepares Arwen for nursery school,

| Gethin has sustained an injury |
she notices Gethin’s forehead has been injured. “Don’t you remember?” he asks, “You were shouting and flinging your arms around in your sleep. I shall feel safer in the Deri now, knowing about that right hook!”

| Ffion admits she has had nightmares |
Ffion is very concerned, and admits, “It was him again! I’ve had the same dream the last few nights – it’s always Craig! I’m scared to close my eyes sometimes.”

| Gethin tries to reassure her |
Gethin again assures her that Craig is behind bars, and will be for a long time. He encourages her to dream about the three of them,

| Arwen watches them kiss |
and kisses her, while Arwen watches.

Hywel arrives back at the salon

| She is cowering with Esther |
to find Sheryl cowering in the back room with Esther;

| "Who would to take Esther from us?" |
she shows him the letter, and demands, “Who is it, Hywel? Who would want to take Esther from us?”

| Dol has been cleaning up after Sara |
Sara returns from the toilet, followed by Dol, who is wielding a mop and bucket; “You almost got there this time,” comments Dol, “You can’t pull the wool over my eyes – I’ve seen it all before.

| "Now, about this 'Food Poisoning'!" |
“Now, about this ‘Food Poisoning’ – was it caused by a girl, or a boy, or twins?” Sara sticks to her story that it was shellfish.

| "You don't hang about, girl!" |
“You don’t hang about, girl – you’ve only been home five minutes,” Dol continues, and recommends that ginger tea may help.

| "Oh, all right, but don't tell anyone!" |
Sara finally admits that she is pregnant, but swears Dol to secrecy, as Jason has not yet been told.
Dol points out that now all the bleach has been used up, and eventually agrees to go to APD to get more, despite calling Dai, “An idiot – a horrible man!”

but before Sara can find the money, she is forced to rush towards the toilet again.

| "I'm looking for the coward who sent it!" |
Sheryl is certain that the anonymous letter was sent by someone in the village; she rushes outside, saying, “I’m looking for the coward who sent it! I bet they’re watching us!” Hywel persuades her to come back inside.

| "I will inform the authorities of this!" |
She reads, “What right have you to offer Esther a home, and remove her from the country of her birth? You’re not fit to be parents, and I will inform the authorities of this.”
“Someone out there wants to stop us adopting Esther,” Sheryl wails, “What are we going to do?”

| Dai is talking to Jim about Mark Jones |
At APD, Dai is on the phone to Jim; he says, “Now they’re trying to say that Mark Jones is in intensive care! They’re playing the sympathy card – but debt is the question!” Dol has just come in, and listens with interest, as Dai continues his rant;

“Those Joneses have been dab hands at telling lies for years!”
The call comes to an abrupt end as Dai notices Dol;

| "I want bleach!" |
“I want bleach – the sort that kills 99% of household germs!” she announces. When Dai hands it over, she continues, “I’ve got to go now, to prepare lunch for my grandson,

| "Mark's busy pretending he's got blood poisoning!" |
“since Mark is too busy pretending he’s got blood poisoning!”

| "They have to assess if you're suitable" |
Sheryl goes to visit Ffion, who informs her, “They have to assess whether you and Hywel are suitable to adopt. I hope everything works out for you.”

| Sheryl is sure it is just a formality |
Sheryl seems confident that it will happen, as it makes sense for Esther to be with them,

| "I just want you to be prepared" |
but Ffion cautions, “From my experience, you need to be honest with them – you can’t hide anything, as they’ll go through your backgrounds. I just want you to be prepared.”

| "You're pregnant! I'm right, aren't I?" |
Jason rushes home, throws open the door and announces, “You’re pregnant! I’m right, aren’t I?”

| "Worked it out at last, did you?" |
Sara congratulates him for working it out,

| "Ooh – that's interesting!" |
but Dai, who happens to be passing, hears the commotion,

| "I'm going to be a father!" |
especially where Jason shouts, “I’m going to be a father!”
Sara confirms to Jason that this is indeed what she wants and they embrace.

| Mark needs more tests |
Debbie has arrived back at the hospital, where Mark tells her, “They have to do more tests to see how it has affected my kidney. The truth is I’m feeling better, but I didn’t want Ricky worrying like he did after I ‘died’.

“I’m not a good role model for him – I don’t want him to be like his father. No matter what I do, I always mess up! What’s waiting for me when I leave this place? Another mess I’ve left everyone in.”

| "Vicky, Nicky and Dol will live at Maes-y-Deri" |
Debbie reprimands him, maintaining that he is a fantastic role model; she further informs him, “Vicky, Nicky and Dol will be living at Maes-y-Deri – you’re staying with me! It’s all sorted – they offered.

| "It's our turn to look after you!" |
“You’re in here because you wanted to look after your family – now it’s our turn!”

| "Spaghetti for dinner!" |
Ffion has just brought Arwen home from nursery school; “Your favourite for dinner – spaghetti!” Ffion tells her, “And you’ll have to wear an apron, or you’ll be covered in tomato sauce!”

Then she hears an unexplained noise, and in a panic crouches in the corner with Arwen, frantically phoning Gethin;

| "Come home – there's someone here!" |
“Come home – there’s someone here!”

| Dol relates what Dai said . . . |
As they collect chips from the shop, Dol relates to Debbie what Dai was saying about them making it all up. She is proud of the fact that she did not retaliate.

On their way out of the chippy, they encounter Dai, and now it is Debbie’s turn to face him.

| "He's out of intensive care" |
“Hold your horses!” she shouts, “Mark’s out of intensive care, on a ward, awaiting test results.” Dai interrupts to argue that there has been a misunderstanding, but she continues, “I heard what you think of Mark and our family! He was looking after his family – he’s more of a man than you!”

Dai is undeterred, but answers, “I still want the money! You Joneses have always been scroungers!

| "Don't think you can get away without paying!" |
“Don’t think you can get away without paying! Nefi wen!”

| "I found the culprit!" |
Gethin has found the culprit – an aerosol can was blown from a windowledge,

| "You can come out now" |
so now Ffion and Arwen can emerge from their hidingplace.

| "SuperGeth is home!" |
He picks up Arwen, assuring her, “It’s all right – SuperGeth is home! It’s just Mam, being silly.”

| "I am trying to move on" |
Ffion is very embarrassed, insisting that she really is trying her best to move on, but Gethin looks anxious.
Hywel reports that Esther is fast asleep and that dinner will be ready in five minutes.

Then he admits to Sheryl, “There’s something I should tell you. This isn’t the first letter – I had one three weeks ago, but I didn’t want to worry you.”

| "They're determined to stop us adopting!" |
Sheryl is certainly worried now; “They’re determined to stop us adopting!”

| "I'm going to find this letter-writer and stop them!" |
Hywel assures her, “We can’t let whoever it is deter us! It’s their problem, not ours. I don’t know how, but I swear that I’m going to find this letter-writer and stop them!”
