As Gwyneth comes downstairs with one bag of her belongings, she tells Siôn, “I’ll have to come back – do you hear me?”

Receiving no response, she puts down the bag and adds,

| "Don't throw everything away" |
“Things have not been easy, and you’ve been under a lot of stress with everything – but to throw everything away . . .”

| "Just go!" |
Siôn answers, “I said all I have to say last week, and nothing has changed – please just go!” She warns him that he cannot do this on his own, then leaves.

| "Yes, I'll ask Dad this afternoon" |
Tyler has been given a poem by someone in the Welsh department at school, and suggests that Siôn be asked to read it at the wedding; Iolo will ask, when he visits his father later.

| "Calm down, Garry – I'll be straight over!" |
Then he has a call from Garry, who has an unspecified plumbing emergency at the Deri, and rushes off.

| Ffion is out of hiding |
On her way along the street, Gwyneth meets Ffion, who says, “It’s great news about Siôn! You can have more nights in now,”

but Gwyneth enlightens her that they broke up last week. She has been staying at the Deri,

| "I've got somewhere in mind" |
but is confident that she has found somewhere for Gwern and herself. She goes in through the door of the Antur.

Garry sees Ffion, and assures her, “There’s no problem any more – they’ve disappeared overseas! That says it all about the riff-raff following Craig around. You don’t have to worry any more.”

Gwyneth emerges from the Antur, looking disappointed.
Whatever is the problem in the Deri, Iolo reports that he will have to remove the plaster, and will start first thing tomorrow.

Britt is sitting at the bar, in a very concerned state; “I met the train at Carmarthen, but there was no sign of Chester. I spoke to him last night, and he said he’d be there at midday – he left Newcastle this morning.

“What has happened to him?” Garry agrees to go and check.

| "Jason wouldn't want to share" |
Sarah tells Gwyneth, “No – I don’t think Jason would want to share,” and Gwyneth points out it would only be for a week.

Sara cites the tenant-landlord agreement they have, and Gwyneth proposes a reduction in rent while she was there.

| "Haven't you had a talk with Siôn?" |
“Haven’t you had a talk with Siôn to sort things out?” Sara asks, and is told that Siôn is not interested in talking at the moment.

“If I don’t find somewhere to live, I’ll just have to give you notice,” Gwyneth threatens, and Sara acquiesces, but stressing it is only for one week.

Garry searches Chester’s likely hiding-places, but reports back that he is nowhere to be found.

Britt panics that he has run away again, but agrees with Garry that the police should not be called; “It won’t look good if the cops are involved – one more black mark against his name.

“I’m worried that something has happened to him – I should have gone to Newcastle to fetch him!”

At that very moment, who should be creeping cautiously into the chip shop flat but Chester?

He sits on the floor by the sofa, looking somewhat anxious.

| Ffion tries, unsuccessfully, to enlist Siôn's help |
Ffion goes to see Siôn, glad to see him back, and suggests, “Would you be interested in joining a committee to turn Bethania into a Community Centre?”
He laughs, and tells her, pointedly, “I have no interest in the chapel or the village – I don’t want to discuss it! I mean it, Ffion!”

As Iolo arrives, she warns Siôn not to shut himself out, but he snarls, “I don’t want your advice!” so she leaves.

| "I'm not coming to the wedding!" |
Iolo asks if he will read the poem at the wedding, but is shocked when his father insists, “I won’t be reading any poem – I’m not coming to the wedding!”

Iolo tries to reason with him,

| "I'm in no fit state to face people!" |
but Siôn points out, “I’m in no fit state to face people after all that’s happened! The people of the village hate me!”

Iolo is angered; “Come on, Dad, don’t be so pathetic! I know how you feel, but you need to get a grip on things. Why not accept Ffion’s offer, get out, talk to people, come to the wedding. This is the most important day of my life! It’s always about you – what you want – how people see you!”

“Are you surprised – with this around my leg?” demands Siôn, “Have you any idea how ashamed I feel?” Iolo replies that he never thought his father could be so selfish, tears up the poem and walks out.

Britt arrives back at the flat and is shocked to see Chester there,

still on the floor. It transpires that he was on the train, but got off at Swansea, where he wandered around, wondering what lies ahead for him tomorrow.

At number 7, Tyler attempt to cheer Iolo, maintaining that his father will ‘come round’.

“I’m not thinking about Dad,” Iolo replies, “I just don’t like the whole idea of everything being organised for us.

“I don’t want the wedding – so many things are wrong – I’ve got so much on my plate!”

| "But Dani's paid for everything!" |
Tyler says they cannot pull out now, after Dani has paid for everything; “I know the wedding isn’t ideal – but it’s better than no wedding at all.

“Is this the wedding – or is it us?” he wonders. Iolo wants a day of which they can be proud, and which they have had fun organising.

Garry comes round and demands, “Swansea? What were you thinking? When the solicitor comes over, listen to everything she has to say – do you hear? It’s important that you look on tomorrow as a second chance. You’ll be back at school on Wednesday – that’s what really counts!”

In number 7’s back garden, Tyler shows Iolo a Pride and Groom magazine, and he says there are some interesting ideas on page 36.

Iolo is pleased that they are back to organising their own wedding, but Tyler tells him he can break the news to Dani.

Ffion is passing, and asks her and Sara if they are interested in the committee to plan for the future of Bethania as a multipurpose building; they both give the excuse that they have other plans for Friday.

Dani senses that all is not well when Iolo and Tyler come into the Deri;

after hesitation, Iolo admits, “We’re not getting married next Thursday – just postponing.”

Dani is furious and rages that everything is ready. He explains, “We don’t think we’re ready – I know we’ve caused you a lot of trouble, and we’ll do everything we can to get the money back!”

he stops and enquires, “What money?” Iolo tells him he is referring to the £1,200 Dani paid for the wedding;

Dani appears to be rather concerned.
Siôn appears to be bringing all his worldly goods downstairs;
