Gethin is supporting Ffion
In the shop, Gethin tells Dani that he is taking Ffion to the school, to give her support, but Ffion is disheartened;  “The governors will side with Chester!”
Dani feels guilty
Dani feels guilty.
In the café, Britt tells Debbie she had better get to the school, but Debbie feels she had better not have a lift, as she is on the panel.
"I'm in an awkward position here"
“I’m in an awkward position here.”
Dol has just walked in and expresses her forthright view;
"Just sack her!"
“Just sack her!” and assures Britt that Debbie will be on her side.
"They'll think Ffion is guilty"
Dani agonises to Garry, “If Ffion doesn’t go, they’ll think she is guilty,” and when Garry comments that there is not much they can do,
"We could tell Britt the truth!"
she suggests, “We could tell Britt the truth before it’s too late!”
Garry will not shop a member of his family
Garry continues his line that it has gone too far, Britt could be charged with slander and Chester could be kicked out of the school.   “I don’t want Ffion to lose her job – could Chester live with that?” demands Dani.
When Britt announces she is going to the school, Dani decides to accompany her,
"I need to stop her saying anything!"
much to Garry’s annoyance.
“Which tie will make an impression on the panel?” asks Gethin,
Gethin insists he will speak on behalf of Ffion
“If you’re not going, I will!”   Ffion insists that he will not change her mind, but he emphasises, “The police didn’t believe Chester’s story, did they?”
"Chester wasn't the first pupil to come here"
“The governors have children at the school, and he wasn’t the first pupil to come here,” replies Ffion, “I’m an alcoholic, and this is a stain on my character.”
"You're a good teacher!"
He reminds her of her record as a good teacher and her dream of becoming head of the new school.
He insists that she needs her career – she has been completely lost the last few weeks.   He urges her to fight to clear her name.
"OK, but don't expect too much!"
Eventually Ffion agrees, “OK, I’ll go, but don’t expect too much!”
Sara is for ever moaning
At Awyr Iach, Sara complains about the prices of houses, but will not consider something smaller, as they have been used to a big house with a pool in Australia.   “I don’t want to live in a shoebox all my life!” she whines.
"We can't buy that much!"
Anita shows her an e-mail from Telcaro, who have some competitive prices, but only want to sell in bulk. “I like their cycling gear, but we can’t buy that much!” says Sara.
"Come on – I've got something to tell you"
Jason arrives with some good news, and takes Sara to the Deri to inform her what it is.
"Oh, you're still here – I thought you'd emigrated"
When Dol finds Sam in the Deri,
"Gaynor wants to get rid of the boat"
he is rather downhearted about Gaynor’s reaction to the boat;  “It’s not exactly the Ocean Princess, is it?” she comments, “You could call it Dolores, because I ‘float your boat’!”
Colin has a brilliant idea
This gives Colin an idea, and he hurries off.
"Ive been offered a job – in Australia!"
Jason reveals his news to Sara;  “I’ve been offered a job – $2,500 a week, plus overtime – in Australia, with the old company in Sydney.   It’s only for three months – it would take us ages to raise that much here – this could be the deposit for our house!”
Sara is not particularly pleased
Sara is predictably less than enthusiastic at the prospect.
"Where are you, Ows?   You should be here!"
Garry has been unable to contact Ows, and asks DJ if he will do a couple of hours behind the bar;
"No, sorry, we don't go out very often"
“Sorry, Eifion is babysitting, and we don’t go out very often!” is the reply.   However, Ows then arrives, and Garry rushes off to keep an eye on Dani.
"Can't I go home?"
At the school, Chester wants to go home, as he had written down what happened.
"There's something I've got to tell you!"
Dani tells Britt there is something she must tell her, but before she can, Garry appears, announcing,
"I'm here now – you can go home!"
“I’m here now to support Chester – you can go home.”   At this point, Dani is adamant that she is staying,
Here come the Disciplinary Panel
but as the Governors file past, Chester prefers not to have too many people there, so Dani reluctantly leaves.
"Remember, stick to the story!"
Garry mutters to Chester, “Remember, stick to the story!”
"It will be good to catch up with the boys"
Jason looks forward to catching up with the boys in Sydney, but Sara moans,
"You'd rather spend three months with them!"
“You’d rather spend three months with them than with me!”
“I might not get this chance again,” Jason replies, “Or do you want to live in Gwyneth’s shoebox for ever?   Awyr Iach is not doing as well as hoped – it’s been very quiet this week.”
Dol suggests improvements to the plan
Colin returns and explains his plan to Sam and Dol;  she suggests, “It would work better if you invited a few people round and made a fuss.   If you want her to keep the boat there, it’s sink or swim time!”
"Fancy coming to a party?"
Immediately Sam floats the idea of a party to DJ and Cadno, while Dol invites Jason and Sara
"Party?   Where?"
as well as Iolo.   Colin is afraid this is getting out of hand.
The Disciplinary Panel
On the Disciplinary Panel, Debbie summarises, “Chester Monk’s side of what happened is clear.”   The other female panel member corrects her that it is what Chester ‘claims’ happened, and they will now hear Mrs Llywelyn’s side.
"Good luck!"
Gethin wishes Ffion good luck as she is called into the room.
"The facts are simple"
She describes that Chester was staying at the flat after his mother had been shot;  “The facts are simple – Chester tried to kiss me.   I made it clear that I had no feelings for him and that what he did was totally unacceptable.   He is a teenage boy with a crush and now he will not admit the truth.”
Ffion replies to the allegations
In answer to the allegation that she invited him to her flat, she replies,
"I felt sorry for him"
“That’s a lie – he came to the flat, saying he felt frightened and uncomfortable at school.   I told him to go straight back there, but he was upset, so I agreed he could stay and work at the flat.   I felt sorry for him – now I’m being punished for that!
“I’ve told the police a dozen times – I have never been so happy in my personal life, and I love my job.
"I did not try to take advantage of him!"
“I would never do anything to endanger that, especially something as disgusting as this.   I know it’s my word against Chester’s, but I’m telling the truth – I didn’t try to take advantage of him!”
"I can't bear to think of him so far away!"
“He said there’s not enough work here, but I can’t bear to think of him the other side of the world!” Sara complains to Anita, who reminds her that she would know he was coming back, and they could move out of the shoebox earlier.
"There is another way to stop him going!"
Sara has another idea;  she will order the bulk consignment of stock from Telcaro, and the amount of work it would create would mean that Jason could not go to Australia.
"That's a big gamble"
Anita comments, “It’s a big gamble just to stop Jason going away.”
A long, anxious wait . . .
Britt and Chester are waiting anxiously when Gaynor comes in to ask some supplementary questions.
. . . until Gaynor comes in to ask some questions
“On the morning of the alleged incident, did you tell Mrs Llywelyn that you needed help with an essay?   What was the essay about?”
Britt objects, “How is he supposed to remember that?   He has done loads of essays!”   Gaynor points out that this was not just any day.
"I'm sorry, Mam . . ."
Chester starts saying, “I’m sorry, Mam . . .”
Then he sees 'Big Uncle' Garry watching
then notices Garry outside the door, keeping an eye on him.
"What are you sorry about?"
Gaynor asks what he is sorry about, and he hesitantly answers, “Um . . . for putting you through this.”
Britt assures him everything will be fine, as long as he tells the truth.   He  says that Ffion refused to help him at first, then agreed he could work at the flat.   “While she was doing that was when she kissed me.”   Britt asks if Gaynor is satified now.   Through the door, Garry nods to Chester.
At Llwyncelyn the party is beginning;
Dol is rather put out . . .
Dol is displeased when Anita arrives with a bottle of Madeira
. . . by Sam's attention to Anita
and Sam pays attention to her.   Sara has come with her and tells Jason that the bulk offer was closing today, so she has ordered it.
"What do you think we are – a supermarket?"
He is not happy;  “Bulk buying?   What do you think we are – a supermarket?   Where do we get the staff to deal with it?   You’ve done this to stop me going!”
"We'll make a fortune!"
Sara insists that they will make a fortune;  “Or go bankrupt!” he grumbles.
The panel has not reached a verdict
The panel have been unable to reach a decision, and will discuss the matter further at the end of the week.
"You can come for a trip with me!"
At Llwyncelyn, Sam invites Anita for a trip in the boat.
"What is going on here?"
Gaynor arrives home and demands, “What is going on here?”
"Well, it's a surprise, you see"
Colin tries to explain he has a surprise for her, but she is adamant, “I’ve had a terrible day!   I want everyone out of here!   And for the hundredth time, get rid of that boat – I’m not in the mood for this nonsense!”
When she sees the boat's name . . .
However, when Colin points out the newly-constructed nameplate, she miraculously becomes less combative.
. . . her anger evaporates (as planned)
“Thank you – how lovely – you’ve gone to a lot of trouble.
With Dol handling the bottle, Colin performs the ceremony;
"I name this boat – Gaynor!"
“I name this boat – Gaynor!”
Garry reports to Dani that the governors failed to reach a decision;
"You're going to admit you stopped me telling her the truth!"
Dani warns him, “When Britt finds out, you’re going to admit to her that you stopped me telling the truth – got it?”
Ffion is faced with a fusillade of abuse
Outside the café, Britt tells Ffion that it is obvious no-one believes her.   Ffion urges Chester to stop this and tell the truth.   “He is telling the truth!” snarls Britt, but Ffion points out that the panel were not too sure about that.
"You'll be out by the end of the week!"
“They were obviously too scared to sack you!” Britt bawls, “You’ll be out by the end of the week – you’ll see!”
