![]() |
| "That bike's your answer to everything" |
“That bike’s your answer to everything these days!” he comments, “I don’t need any help – I need to be left alone!” and he stomps off upstairs.

| "I know about Llwyncelyn and the wine!" |
In the clutter of the chip shop flat, Britt is looking for a missing shoe when Dani arrives; “I know about Llwyncelyn, the wine and all that,” Dani says, “I’ve come to invite you and the children to dinner tonight.” Catrin and Aaron are all in favour of this.

![]() |
| "A family meal will do us good" |
“A family meal will do us all good,” Dani advises, “She threw a glass of wine over Ffion, remember?” Garry excuses Britt with the remark that everyone goes overboard sometimes.
Dani continues, “We’ve all been through a difficult time lately – I thought a meal would help us forget,”
![]() |
| "A meal won't change anything" |
but Garry doubts if a meal will have this effect, and needs to keep away from them. He maintains that if he tries to make things better, they become worse. She will as usual take no notice of him, adding, “You say that family comes first!”
![]() |
| A welcome from Dani |
As Garry goes to collect Gwern, who is ill, from school, Sheryl comes in and is welcomed by Dani; “I’m so glad to see you – I never wanted to run a salon!”
![]() |
| "I'm going to Apêl Maenan" |
As Hywel takes the bags upstairs, Sheryl goes to the Apêl Maenan shop.
![]() |

![]() |
| "I'm worried about Mam" |
Catrin visits Y Felin, telling Siôn, “I’m worried about Mam – she’s not herself – she’s shouting a lot!” Gwyneth comments that there is no change there,

as Catrin adds, “And she cries more than usual.”
![]() |
| Gwern is home, not feeling well |

![]() |
| "Britt is sly and manipulative" |
When Garry and Catrin have left, Gwyneth warns Siôn, “Be careful – Catrin may be playing games for Britt – she’s sly and manipulative when it comes to getting her own way.”
![]() |
| "Catrin wouldn't do that" |
Siôn cannot believe that Catrin would do something like that.
![]() |
| "That's a worthwhile idea" |
Megan is enthusiastic about Sheryl’s suggestion; “It’s a worthwhile idea, in principle, but I have no idea how to contact producers in Uganda.”
![]() |
| "I'll do some homework" |
Sheryl will do some homework online, and Megan knows of a shop in Carmarthen which imports goods from Africa, who could be asked for help.

| Coffee-time at the garage |
When Gethin has just brought coffees to the garage, Dani rushes in to see Garry;
![]() |
| "I'm not going to nag – well, only a bit!" |

![]() |
| "I panicked!" |

Tyler meets Ffion at school, sympathising that it is difficult on the first day back, and revealing that he has heard about the wine incident.
![]() |
| "Just mind your own business!" |
Ffion irritably replies, “News travels fast in Cwmderi! It would be more helpful if you would just mind your own business!”
Sheryl returns to the salon, and Dani confesses, “I can’t wait for you to come back tomorrow!”
![]() |
| "I'm going to take the rest of the week off" |

Garry is welcoming Britt and the three children to the Deri, where he fetches them drinks.
![]() |

but he is very eager to change the subject.
![]() |

![]() |
| "That slot is still available" |
Outside, Hywel has just returned Courtney’s laptop when he meets Siôn, and assures him, “The offer of a slot on CwmFM is still open if you want it.”
![]() |
| "Here's the address of the shop for Sheryl" |
Megan approaches with details of the shop in Carmarthen for Sheryl, but Hywel says she should speak directly to Sheryl.
![]() |
| "I'm the only candidate!" |
Megan informs Siôn that she is on her way to get the chapel ready for tomorrow’s meeting to elect a temporary leader. “You won’t know about it, but I’m the only candidate,” she proudly announces,
![]() |
| "Just what I was expecting!" |
and Siôn nods knowledgably.
![]() |
| "I can't believe you stooped so low!" |

![]() |
| "I don't like her being here!" |
Ffion is uneasy being in the pub, with Britt being there, and cannot understand what they have to celebrate. Gethin reminds her, “You’ve got as much right as them to be here.
![]() |
| "If they knew where Chester was today!" |
“They wouldn’t be celebrating if they knew where Chester was today! I found him hiding in the garage, but I didn’t say much – that’s your job!”
“Life will be much easier if I keep quiet,” concludes Ffion,
![]() |
| "It's up to him to cope!" |
“It’s up to him to cope – he created the situation, and it’s up to me to stop being over-sensitive.” She turns and apologises to Tyler for being stroppy earlier.
As Sheryl sits with Hywel, Dani approaches;
![]() |
| Dani protests to Sheryl, and Garry tries to stop her |
“I don’t think it’s very fair that you’re taking another week off – I can’t cope on my own!”
![]() |
| "Well, if you don't mind losing the wages" |
However, the wind is taken from her sails when Sheryl suggests that she could close the salon, if Dani does not mind losing her wages. Dani’s protest abruptly ceases.
![]() |
| "You think I'm going doolally!" |
Britt confronts Garry; “What’s this about Catrin going to Y Felin? You’ve planned this trip because you think I’m going doolally! If my behaviour is affecting the children, it’s time to stop running away and start facing facts!
![]() |
| That trip will have to be postponed |
“I’ll make up this trip to them some other way – I have to do this, Gar!”
![]() |
| Gwyneth looks distinctly displeased |

![]() |
| "The problem is you!" |
“Us! It’s you, and if you don’t know what’s wrong, it’s a bigger problem than I realised. You said last week you would make an effort – you’d do anything for this relationship, but all you’ve done is ignore me!
![]() |
| "You're making no effort!" |
“I’ve done everything to try and help you, but you’re making no effort to help yourself! You need to shake yourself out of this self-pity –
![]() |
| "Man up, for heaven's sake!" |
“man up, for heaven’s sake!’
![]() |
| "I'll start tomorrow, at the meeting" |
Siôn agrees, “Yes, you’re right! The less I do, the more people take advantage! It’s time for me to fight back – and I’ll start tomorrow at the meeting to elect Megan as temporary leader!”
![]() |
| "She intends to be leader?" |
Gwyneth is amazed that Megan intends to be leader.
![]() |
| "Not if I have anything to do with it!" |
“Not if I have anything to do with it!” exclaims Siôn, “I’m going over there to stop it! I’m telling you, Megan is not going to take my place! Fancy a cup of tea?”
