Britt is apologetic
Britt apologises to Catrin for the way she was informed that Siôn was no longer officially her father;  she says that Siôn ‘wound her up’.
"What's all this mess?"
When Dani comes in, she expresses surprise at all the boxes and bags, and Britt explains that she did not want to admit to Siôn that she had nowhere to put them.
"I can't find my phone!"
Chester insists that he cannot go to work at the garage until he finds his phone,
"No, I haven't had it!"
accusing Catrin of hiding it.
"Yes, I read about it in the Western Post"
Debbie visits Cysgod y Glyn, asking Ffion how her holiday went;  “It’s all been kicking off here!   Have you heard about Angela?”   Ffion has read the story in the Western Post.    Then Debbie comes to the point of her visit;
"I shall be on the disciplinary panel"
“I wanted to tell you that I shall be on the disciplinary panel next week – I’ve already told Britt.”
This is not what Ffion wanted to hear
This rather undermines Ffion’s confidence.
Gethin's toolbox is full of rubbish
In the garage, Gethin opens his toolbox to find crisp packets and empty cans in it;  Garry explains that Chester has been ‘helping out’, in order to take his mind off things.
"I can't work with that liar!"
“I can’t work with that liar!” stresses Gethin, “Not after what he has done to Ffion!”
"If you want to keep your job . . ."
Garry advises that if he wants to keep his job, he must find a way to get on with Chester.
"I couldn't find my phone"
Just then, Chester arrives late, blaming his missing phone, but Garry points out that he does not need a phone there, and tells him to go and put the kettle on.
The arrangements are almost complete
Sioned tells Ed that she is going to pick up her dress, the flowers are on the way and Penrhewl is all prepared.   Ed has some wedding cards, which he says DJ, the best man, can read out.   “Can he read?” queries Sioned.
"Put her down – you don't know where she's been!"
As Ed says he will miss her tonight, and kisses her, Mark enters, remarking, “Put her down – you don’t know where she’s been!”   He brings a card and tells them he is going back to work;  “But I shall be looking into the case – the killer is still out there!   The police are not doing anything, and until they find the culprit, people will still blame me!”
"Why can't he leave things alone?"
After he has gone, Ed wonders why he cannot leave things alone, now that he is free.   Sioned assures him, “With Mark Jones playing detective, you’re safe enough!”
"Just ignore him"
Garry tells Chester that if Gethin is winding him up to simply ignore it.   “I’m not going to let him pick on me!” responds Chester.   Garry warns him not to say anything, or it may be used against him at the hearing.
"Where's my tea, then?"
Then, as Gethin has finished servicing a car, he is given the rest of the day off.   As they are both drinking tea, Gethin demands his;
"I'm not making you tea!"
Chester is quite adamant, “I’m not making you tea!”
Gethin says he would like a biscuit too, so Chester can run to the shop to get some.
"You won't be laughing next week!"
“You’re so funny – but you won’t be laughing next week – you nor Ffion!” smirks Chester.
Garry has to keep them apart, and tells Chester, “Get your coat – you’re sacked!
"I told you to keep this shut!"
I warned you to keep this shut!   Go home before you cause more trouble.”
"I shall be glad to get away from this place!"
Dani brings Ed a panini in the Deri;  “Your last lunch as a free man!” she quips, and he replies that he is looking forward to the wedding – and the honeymoon, away from Cwmderi.   Dani’s attempts to find out where they are going on honeymoon are unsuccessful.
"I collected the dress . . ."
Sioned joins Ed, reporting all she has collected the dress, and refuses any food
". . . and I want it to fit!"
as she wants to be able to get into it.   “All I have to do is get my hair done tomorrow, then turn up and look my best!” she smiles.
"Why did you close early?"
Dani is surprised to see Garry back early, and asks why he closed the garage.
Garry explains it was 'risk management'
“I gave Chester the sack – he was being ‘chopsy’ with Gethin, and it was too risky having them together,” he tells her.   Dani advises that he should have stopped Chester long ago, but it is too late now.
"How much?"
In the café, Debbie is on the phone;  “What if I can’t pay by Friday?   How much?”
Ffion's positivity has now evaporated
Ffion tells Gethin that her chance of a fair hearing has gone, with Debbie on the panel.   “I was feeling positive until she came.   Surely Garry knows he is lying.”
"Chester is a loose cannon"
Gethin reminds her that she has no proof, adding, “Chester is a loose cannon – he’s bound to make a mistake sooner or later.”
The blushing bride . . .
Ed walks in as Sioned is trying on the wedding dress;  she is panic-stricken that this will cause bad luck.
. . . thinks this is tempting fate
“Enough guests have cancelled already over Angela.   She’ll always be in the background, getting all the attention –
"Angela's jinxed the wedding!"
she’s jinxed the wedding!”   Ed tries to persuade Sioned that she is being silly;  they are the important ones,
"Everything is fine"
and everything is fine.
"Oi!   What am I doing on that list of suspects?"
Walking into Maes-y-Deri, Debbie finds Mark compiling a list of suspects, and is concerned that her name is on it;  “But I have crossed it out!” he stresses, “It must have been someone who could come in here.”
"Have you contacted Stacey?"
She is keen to change the subject, and asks if he has contacted Stacey;  “If she can’t help, I could lose the café!   Sorry to interrupt your detective work, but this needs sorting – try to ring her again now!”
"I don't want them here!"
Ffion and Gethin arrive at the Deri, but Britt objects and does not want them there.
Garry is overruled by his wife
Garry tells them to leave, but is overruled by Dani;  “They’re not going anywhere!”
"Hey, Mam, Garry's sacked me!"
Chester then adds to the tension by announcing, “Garry’s sacked me!”   Garry explains that he was rude to a customer yesterday and would not obey instructions today.   Chester whinges, “Gethin was picking on me and Garry sided with him!”   Of course Britt reckons Garry should have stuck up for Chester.
"He knows that Chester lied about me!"
Ffion joins the discussion;  “He couldn’t, because he knows Chester lied about me!   When did you find out?   Did he admit it?”
Garry's silence speaks volumes
Garry remains tight-lipped.   She continues, “You know how he lied, and don’t want him around.   If you know the truth, get him to retract the accusation!”
Rather subdued, Garry replies, “Ffion, you’re wrong.   Sit down before I throw you out.   I’ll bring your drinks over.”
"Right, we're going home!"
Britt storms off home with Chester.
Mark is amazed to see Stacey . . .
Stacey turns up at Maes-y-Deri, apologising for not answering Mark’s texts.
. . . but after a hug . . .
He hugs her and thanks her for the holiday,
. . . she knows nothing about any holiday
but she denies any knowledge of it.   “Debs is panicking, as she has a debt of more than £5,000 and I said I’d ask you for help,” he begins.
"I've lost everything!"
“No, I can’t, I’m skint!” interrupts Stacey, “I don’t have a penny left – I’ve lost everything, and don’t know what to do!”
"Nasty Gethin was rotten to me"
Chester tells his mother, “Gethin was winding me up, giving me orders to make the tea and belittling me – laughing at me!   I told him where to go!”
"Don't worry, love – it isn't your fault!"
“Don’t worry, love – it isn’t your fault!” Britt reassures him, “Did you hear her, saying Garry was part of it?   You’re better off not working with Gethin – you’re under enough stress as it is.   I breaks my heart to see you so upset.”
"I might as well give up!"
He continues the performance, “What am I going to do now?   Garry has turned his back on me – I might as well give up.   Maybe I should retract the accusation.”
This brings the expected reply, “No, I don’t want you talking like that!   Ffion’s going to pay for what she did – I’ll make sure of that!”
Another disappointment for Debbie
Mark and Stacey go round to see Debbie, who immediate fetches the demand for payment, and is shocked to hear, “No, I won’t be paying.   I can’t – I haven’t got any money!   The hotel, house, car, friends – I’ve lost all of them.   I didn’t pay VAT for years – I always intended to, but something else cropped up.
"It's paid back now, but there's nothing left"
I’ve paid it now, but lost everything.   I worked hard to make something of myself, and ended up exactly where I started.   Sorry, I shouldn’t have come back!”   She leaves.
"It's all right for you – I owe £5,000!"
Debbie says that it is all right for Mark – he can carry on, but she has a debt of over £5,000 that she cannot pay.
“I don’t know who the murderer is, and it’s eating me alive!” exclaims Mark, “I can’t sleep, I’m suspicious of everyone!   Who killed Dewi?   Who framed me?
"I can't carry on with my life!"
I can’t carry on with my life – not until I catch whoever did it!”
"They'll turn against you when they find out!"
Dani tells Garry he will have to find some space in one of his lock-ups for the stuff from Britt’s flat, as they are falling over it.   “If people find out that Chester lied, Britt will face a hard time.   And they’ll turn against you when they find out!”
"Whoever killed Dewi paid for that break for Ricky and me"
Mark comes in and tells Dani, “I think I’ve found out something about whoever killed Dewi.   They paid for that break for Ricky and me – they obviously wanted to get rid of me.”   Ed thinks Mark may never find out who he was,
"It could have been a woman!"
and Sioned adds that it might have been a woman.
Mark is emphatic;  “Well, I went to jail because of that person, and I’m determined to find out who it was, I promise you that!”
"He has to be kept away from Gethin"
At the chip shop flat, Garry tells Britt it is better that Chester is kept away from Gethin, or it may be too much for him.   He sends Britt to talk to Dani about weekend shifts, while he has a word with Chester.
"You would have snapped!"
“I had to get you out of the garage, or Gethin would have gone on and on until you snapped!” Garry says.
"I can't go before the panel!"
Chester insist that he cannot go before the panel, but must retract the allegation.
"It's too late!   There's no turning back!"
He is told, “No, you can’t do that – it’s too late!   There’s no turning back now!”
