Ffion is pleased that she can start back at school on Monday, but is warned that her file will be marked that she undermined school guidelines.

| "Still a question mark over what happened!" |
“So there will still be a question mark over what happened!” exclaims Ffion, “And what about Chester?” When Gaynor points out there was insufficient evidence, Ffion complains, “So he is getting away with it! This is not good enough – I want to appeal!”

| Dai thinks he will be eating this lot |
Dai and Diane are buying meal ingredients in the shop; Diane asks Eileen, “Do you have anything organised this weekend, as it is your birthday?”

| "Sioned might arrange something" |
Eileen thinks Sioned might arrange something when she returns from honeymoon. Diane continues, “Come over to us for a meal.”
Eileen is anxious that Jim should not be there, and is told he has made other plans, so she accepts the invitation;

“It will be nice to have company – I’m looking forward to it.”

| "I don't want to lose you as a teacher" |
Gaynor stresses that she knows Ffion was trying to help Chester, and now regrets asking her to do so; “I know I don’t want to lose you as a teacher.”

| "I can't come back until I've cleared my name!" |
“People will still think the worst of me,” replies Ffion, but Gaynor assures her that the people who know her will know that Chester’s account is a lie. “I can’t come back until I’ve cleared my name!” Ffion insists,

but is warned that the panel is hardly likely to reach a different verdict after going through the rigmarole again.

| "This playing cupid is fun!" |
At Bryntirion, Diane is revelling in the rôle of cupid, and Dai warns, “You’re playing with fire – it won’t work!” Diane has arranged somewhere for them to go while Eileen and Jim are patching up things at their house.

| "There's a minister's job going at Bethania!" |
“Saint Diane – a holiday for Mark Jones, and now fixing Eileen’s and Jim’s marriage. There’s a minister’s job going at Bethania, if you want it!”

| "Yes, I might have a word with Megan" |
Diane replies that she might have a word with Megan about that.
At this point Jim arrives, and Dai is instructed to take him to the Deri for a drink until the meal is ready.

| Jim is puzzled |
Jim is rather confused, being hustled out of the door as soon as he has come in; “You can’t go in there,” says Dai, “Diane is in her smalls, trying on tops!”

| The landlord has a break in his busy day |
Gaynor visits the Deri, wanting to speak to Britt, who has taken Catrin and Aaron swimming. Garry asks if the panel have reached a decision;

| "I'm going to be expelled!" |
Chester, who has just come downstairs, comments, “They don’t believe me – I’m going to be expelled!”

| "The verdict is – no further action" |
Gaynor reassures him that he will not be expelled; “Ffion has had an official warning, and no further action will be taken against her.”
When Gaynor has left, Garry comments that Chester does not look very happy;

| "What if they find out it was a lie!?" |
“What if they find out it was a lie? Mam won’t be very happy when she hears,” Chester whines. Garry tells him that he will deal with his mother.

| "Diane's made other plans" |
In the Deri, Jim suggests that he and Dai could go and see that film, but Dai replies that Diane has made other plans.

| "I'll go and see it on my own, then!" |
“Right,” concludes Jim, “I’ll go and see it on my own!” Dai insists that he cannot, as Diane is preparing a special meal for the three of them.
On the other side of the bar, Garry takes issue with this;

| "Hang on – Diane's booked a table here!" |
“Diane has booked a table here!” Dai receives a text from Diane, informing him that the meal is now ready, so they leave,

| Garry is perplexed |
as Garry wonders what is going on.
Eileen has arrived at Bryntirion and Diane gives her a present; they hear Jim’s voice, “Is it safe to come in? I hope you’re not naked!”

| "I knew something was going on!" |
He walks in, stopping when he sees Eileen; “I knew there was something going on!”

| "We're going out – you are going to talk!" |
Diane announces that she and Dai are going out, while their guests talk. Eileen says it is typical of Jim, letting someone else take the first step, but Jim retorts, “You haven’t made much effort yourself!”

Diane encourages them to talk to each other, and Dai asks them not to destroy the crockery, as it is their best.

Dai and Diane reach the Deri and sit down;

| Britt is in a good mood, temporarily |
Britt comes back in an uncommonly good mood, reporting on the children’s swimming exploits. Chester looks miserable, and Garry reveals that Gaynor has been in with the panel’s decision. When told that no action is being taken over Chester,

| "Ooh, Ffion's been sacked, has she?" |
she gleefully chuckles, “Ooh, Ffion’s been sacked, has she?” but Garry replies that there was insufficient evidence.

| The good humour is rapidly evaporating |
Predictably, Britt explodes, “I’m going to tell Gaynor that’s not good enough! If Ffion goes back to work, people will think Chester was lying!”

| "Leave it Mam!" |
Chester pleads unsuccessfully for her to leave it, but she is undeterred, marching out, shouting, “It’s not right!”

| "Dani, come to the Deri, now!" |
Garry quickly phones Dani; “Come to the Deri, now – no time to explain!” then grabs his coat and rushes after Britt.

| "Hey! What about our drinks?" |
Dai shouts after him, “What about our drinks? Nefi wen! I hope it’s quieter than this at Bryntirion!’

| A rather strained atmosphere at the meal table |
Meanwhile, Eileen and Jim sit silently at the meal table; “I hear Courtney gave in her coursework on time – thanks to Eifion!” comments Eileen. Jim concedes Eifion has given her a lot of support – a lot more than he has.

| "Why didn't you come to the wedding?" |
“You haven’t told me why you didn’t come to the wedding,” Eileen continues, and he confesses he was afraid they would argue, and spoil Sioned’s big day.

| "You've been keeping secrets from me" |
He accuses her of keeping things from him, and she admits this is true.

| "You know how sly Angela can be" |
“You know how sly she can be – like when she lied about you abusing Courtney to get custody,” Eileen reminds him.

| "At least, I fought to clear my name!" |
He replies that he fought to clear his name, whereas Eileen let the auction go ahead, knowing the truth.
Eileen explains, “It was like a snowball – I was in a hole and couldn’t get out. I know I should have had faith in you – I’m sorry, but I can’t turn the clock back.”

Jim cannot believe that Angela could behave like that, and then walk out on Courtney. “And she took the £50,000 with her!” Eileen reveals. Jim predicts that Sioned will go mad when she finds out.

Eileen agrees, “They’ll hear her screams in Llanarthur!”

“Some more potato?” asks Jim, and as he ladles it out on to Eileen’s plate,

they both burst out laughing.

| "Have you had time to think?" |
Gaynor has invited Ffion over to Llwyncelyn, where she asks if Ffion has had time to think about it. Ffion confesses, “I’m not happy, but I don't have the energy to go through an appeal.

| "Gethin won't give me a minute's peace!" |
“Gethin won’t give me a minute’s peace if I don’t go back to school!” Gaynor is relieved, as Ysgol y Mynach needs Ffion.

| "Is that Sam's boat outside?" |
Ffion asks if that is Sam’s boat outside, and Gaynor is very uncomplimentary about it; she takes Ffion outside for a look at it.

Meanwhile, Britt, in an agitated state, followed by Garry, is approaching up the road.

As Gaynor and Ffion laugh at the boat’s nameplate, Britt’s voice rings out; “Celebrating your victory, are you?” As they head back inside the house, Britt continues her diatribe.

Jim remarks that Diane’s cooking is not as good as Eileen’s; “I’ve been lost without you, you know!” he tells her, “That’s why I’ve been avoiding Courtney since the wedding. I don’t know what to say to her, now Angela’s gone.

“I’m scared I won’t be strong enough without your help. I don’t really want to get a flat.”
Eileen asks what he really does want,

and he contritely asks, “Can I come home, please?”

| Dai has made short work of that meal |
Dai has polished off his meal at the Deri and wonders if it will soon be safe to go home.

| "I hope you haven't made matters worse" |
“As long as you haven’t made matters worse,” he tells Diane, “Sometimes it’s better not to interfere.”

| "I'm doing this to get our home back!" |
She replies, “I’m doing this for us – so we get our home back!” Then she receives a text from Eileen.

| "I'm taking you out to celebrate your birthday" |
Eileen and Jim are back at the shop flat; “I’m going to ask Colin to look after the shop all day tomorrow,” he tells her, “I’m taking you out to celebrate your birthday – shopping and a meal – I’m going to spoil you!”

She assures him, “The best present is having you back here – welcome home!”

| "It's a whitewash!" |
Britt is in full flow; “It’s a whitewash! The panel sided with the school, which suited you! You don’t have to look for a teacher now, and your friend’s safe!

“The panel is made up of your puppets!”

| "You should be grateful he's not being punished!" |
Ffion protests that Britt should be grateful Chester is not being punished. “He’s done nothing wrong!” snarls Britt, “You should be ashamed – making Chester suffer, and now he’ll keep suffering!”

“I’m the one suffering and your lying son should be punished!” rages Ffion.

| Ffion is on the receiving end of a glass of wine |
Britt snatches a glass of white wine, positioned conveniently nearby, and throws it in Ffion’s face.

Gaynor wastes no time in throwing Britt and Garry out of her house,

| Ffion attempts to wash away the alcohol |
while Ffion in desperation goes to the sink, to remove all traces of alcohol. Gaynor asks if she is all right;

Ffion is determined, “That family is not going to get the better of me!”
