"Sioned having a lie-in!?"
Jim asks Ed if Sioned is having a lie-in;  “Best place for her!” Ed replies.   Jim wants to know when he and Sioned will be moving out, so that Courtney can come and live with them.
"There's no room while you're here"
“There’s no room while you’re here, and Courtney is my daughter,” Jim reminds Ed, who points out that Sioned is Eileen’s daughter.   In any case, he mentions that Courtney is happy with Eifion,
"Is that what Courtney wants?"
and Ed wonders if that is what Courtney wants, describing it as Jim’s fanciful idea.
"Hello – the cops are talking to Dai!"
Mark is loitering outside APD, where he can see a police constable talking to Dai;
The officer will keep in touch
when the officer has left, Dai demands, “Don’t you have any work to do?
"Blokes like you hovering around!"
Cwmderi’s not going to win the best kept village with blokes like you hovering around!   Clear off, or the police will think we’re up to no good!”
"Why did you say that?"
Mark asks why he would say that, but Dai stomps back inside the shop.
The packing at Awyr Iach is in full swing
At Awyr Iach, Vicky, Gwyneth and Stacey are packing boxes;
Stacey complains about zero hours contracts
Stacey remarks to Jason that zero-hours contracts are not the way to keep the workers happy, and that she would never have employed anyone on those terms.    Sara comes over and comments, “And look what you’ve been reduced to!”
Stacey offers constructive advice
Then Stacey suggests they should all pack the boxes in the same way, to create a professional impression.  “What you think doesn’t matter – it’s up to the boss,” Sara dismissively tells her.
"Yes, that would be a good idea"
Jason maintains it is a good ideas, but as usual is overruled;  “I said no!” is Sara’s final word.
"I know who killed Dewi!   Dai Sgaffalde!"
Mark goes into the café, and after welcoming Ed back from his honeymoon, reveal that he knows who killed Dewi.   “It’s Dai Ashurst!   I’ve been thinking about it for days, and now the police have been to see him.”
"Just let the police deal with it"
Ed advises that he should let the police deal with it and stay away.
“I’m not frightened of the police!” continues Mark,
"I shall go and talk to Dewi's neighbours!"
“I shall go and talk to Dewi’s neighbours – someone may have seen Dai leaving the flat!”   Ed tells him he cannot approach people and ask them about the murder, but he protests, “Are you on my side or what?”
"Just leave it alone, will you?"
Ed tries to persuade him, “You don’t have any leads – you’re making up  evidence from nothing.   Just leave it alone, will you?”
Jim goes round to see Courtney, who has come home to collect her phone;
"We used phones to talk to people!"
“When I was a boy, we used phones to talk to people,” he says, but she insists that was long before smartphones were invented.
"Did you want something, Dad?"
Then she asks if he actually wanted anything.
"I want you to come and live with us"
He tells her, “My circumstances have changed now that Eileen and I are back together, so I think you should come to live with us.”   Courtney answers that they have been through this before, and that she is happy there with Eifion.
"But Eifion is not 'family'!"
Jim continues that Eifion is not family, and it would be more ‘natural’ for Courtney to live with him and Eileen.
"I don't want to move"
“If the arrangement works, why change it?   I don’t want to move, but it doesn’t mean I love you any less,” she tells him, and Jim sadly leaves.
"Yes, this way is much better!"
Gwyneth and Vicky try packing in the way suggested by Stacey and find it works well;
Of course 'the boss' does not agree
“Last time I looked, I was the boss – and now you’re taking orders from Stacey!” moans Sara,
"We've all wasted a lot of time!"
“We’ve all wasted a lot of time because of her!”
Gwyneth unearths a cry for help
Gwyneth finds a scrap of paper amongst the items in a box, which reads, “Please help.   I am 7 years.   Work is too hard.   Nabil”.
An envelope addressed to Courtney . . .
The post arrives, and Courtney opens an envelope addressed to her, finding a set of keys and a note from Angela,
. . . with a note and some keys
“Courtney, I love you.   Call me any time,” with an address in Swansea.
Courtney rings her Dad . . .
She calls her Dad and then goes to see him,
. . . then tells him about the letter and keys
telling him that she threw away the letter and keys and reiterating that she does not want to see her mother.
"Perhaps we can get the money back"
Jim is eager to contact Angela;  “Perhaps we can get the money back, and then Sioned and Ed can move out.”
Courtney is quite adamant;
"I don't want to find Mam – ever!"
“I don’t want to find Mam – ever!   If I mean anything to you, promise me that you won’t go looking for her!   I’ve been thinking what you said about family, and I’ve been a bit ungrateful, not thinking about your feelings.”
"Nobody loves you like I do!"
Jim knows that Eifion will look after her like a father, “But he isn’t your father, and nobody loves you like I do!”
A cwtch from Dad
Courtney hugs her Dad.
"Someone must talk to Sara"
In the café, Gwyneth shows the paper to Vicky and Stacey;  “The stuff we’re packing comes from a sweatshop the other side of the world,” she says.   Stacey suspects that Sara is getting it dirt cheap and is making a huge profit.   They delegate Gwyneth to tell Sara, considering she is the one most likely to be listened to.
"The police have been to APD today!"
Mark comes in and tells Stacey of his suspicions;  “The police have been to APD today!”   She asks why he thinks Dai is guilty, and he answers, “Why do you think he’s not?”
"He has no record of violence"
Stacey points out he is a highly respected businessman with no record of violent behaviour.
Gwyneth begs to differ
Gwyneth interrupts her, “Yes he has – he pushed my father downstairs!”   Mark stresses he is not making this up.
Courtney meets this Mathew
Back at Eifion’s, Courtney is surprised to see a stranger, who is introduced as Mathew, the son of Eifion’s cousin;  he is an apprentice welder, who is living outside Cwmderi.   Eifion offers to show him round the place;
"Someone younger than you!"
“I want someone younger than you to show me round!” is the reply.
Courtney appears to be 'smitten'
Courtney seems to have forgotten her problems and makes them all a cup of tea.
"What did the police want at APD?"
At Bryntirion, Dai answers the door and Mark marches in, demanding what the police wanted at APD.   “Mind your own business,” is the irritated reply.   Mark promises that he is keeping an eye on Dai,
"About stolen tools from Llanarthur"
so he answers, “I have nothing to hide – I wanted a word with them about the lads who have been stealing tools at Llanarthur.   Want to know what tools?   Tough – I’m not telling you!”
"Your behaviour is even stranger than usual"
Looking at Mark in a concerned fashion, he adds, “Are you all right?   Your behaviour is weird, even stranger than usual.   Go home and have a cuppa and put your feet up.   Perhaps you’ve been working too hard – although that’s difficult to believe!”
"What will you do?   Throw me downstairs?"
Mark demands, “What will you do if I say no?   Throw me downstairs?”
Rather puzzled, Dai remarks, “I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but we’re on the ground floor.   Go home and get a good night’s sleep – you’ll wake up feeling like a new postman!”   Vowing that he is going to find out, Mark leaves,
"Idiot!"
with Dai shouting after him, “Idiot!”
"I'm in digs near Llanarthur"
In the Deri, Mathew explains to Ed that he has digs near Llanarthur.
"Courtney's ready and willing to move in"
Ed sees Jim by the bar and is told that Courtney is ready and willing to move in, once there is room.   When she arrives, Courtney puts the record straight;
"I said no such thing!"
“I said no such thing!   I don’t want to move – I’m sorry, Dad, I’m happy where I am,” she emphasises, looking lingeringly at Mathew, “Maybe if I say it often enough, you’ll believe me.”
Ed gloats, “It looks like Sioned and I have more time than we thought.”
"I went round to Bryntirion to see him"
Mark comes in and tells Ed, “He didn’t crack!   I went round to Bryntirion to see him.”
"You can't do things like that"
Ed reproaches him that he cannot do things like that, arguing that he is simply trying to help keep Mark out of trouble.   “I’d prefer help to find Dewi’s murderer!” replies Mark,
"I won't stop until I find out who did it!"
“I won’t stop until I find out who did it!”
Gwyneth plucks up courage
Gwyneth tries to put off confronting Sara, but shows Jason the note,
Jason thinks the matter is serious . . .
which he describes as ‘serious’, and it should be looked into immediately.
. . . but Sara appears to want to sweep it under the carpet
Sara grabs it from him;  after looking at it, she says that they should leave the matter with her, and she will look into it.
"I think we'd better hold on to that note"
Gwyneth takes the note back, thinking that they should ensure the matter is not simply forgotten.
"That went OK, didn't it?"
“That went OK, didn’t it?” comments Vicky,
What will be Sara's next move?
while Sara goes back to her computer, looking determined.
