Chester is his usual obnoxious self

Britt urges Chester to go to the garage, as he is supposed to be working for Garry; in his temper, he kicks a cup off the coffee table.

"What is the matter with you?"

Britt demands what is the matter with him;

"You know what's wrong!

“You know what’s wrong – this business with Ffion and school!” is his answer.

"Look, a text from St David's"

Catrin has a text from St David’s with a photo of Gwern eating chips. This starts Britt off again; “Why has he sent that? He used to complain when I brought chips home from the shop – but from a chippy in Pembrokeshire it’s fine for Gwern!”

"Oh, she's off again!"

Catrin is beginning to tire of her mother’s behaviour.

"I can't get into the computer"

Vicky complains to Debbie in the café that Dani has left her on her own in the salon and is not answering her mobile. Vicky cannot do anything, as she does not have the password for the online booking system for appointments. There is no signal in Africa, so she cannot ask Sheryl, and the salon has therefore come to a stop.

"Good news – you've been co-opted on to the board of Governors"

Gaynor comes in to announce to Debbie she has been co-opted to the board of governors at school.

This causes Debbie some exultation . . .

Debbie is quite excited at this, but her euphoria evaporates

. . . but it is short-lived

when told that her first task will be as part of the Disciplinary Panel investigating the Ffion and Chester allegations.

"I don't know what these pigeons eat"

Chester has been equipped with a bucket of soapy water; Garry tells him, “I don’t know what pigeons in Cwmderi eat these days, but there’s tons of it on this car, and you’re going to clean it!”

Chester studies the problem ahead of him

Chester does not look enthusiastic, but Garry grins.

Britt assumes this is about decorating Gwyneth's

In the café, Britt sees Sara looking at a decorating brochure, and advises her not to bother decorating Gwyneth’s place. Sara replies that she is looking for ideas for Y Felin;

"No, it's Y Felin's master bedroom and bathroom"

“Someone else is doing it, the master bedroom and bathroom – I’m just giving advice.”

"I'll pass it on to Siôn"

Britt points out that both she and Siôn own the place, and asks if she can have a look at the brochure, then she will pass it on to Siôn, with her suggestions.

"You regard me as a predator!"

Tyler encounters Kelly in the Deri; “I think you’re avoiding me – you regard me as a predator!” she tells him.

Tyler announces he is gay . . .

He answers that he has something to tell her, that he is gay.

. . . but Kelly already knows

She does not turn a hair, remarking, “Sorry if you’re disappointed, but I already know – Dani told me a few days ago. Then it all made sense – I made a move on you, and you refused – I didn’t understand why. Dani did say that she suspected when you were growing up.

"It's no big deal"

“Sorry if you want people to be shocked – it’s not a big deal these days, is it?”

"Aargh! Look what I've done!"

Chester gashes his hand on the windscreen wiper, and runs to Garry, moaning, “Look what I’ve done, cleaning pigeon cack off that car!” Garry gets the first aid box

and amateurishly wraps up the injured finger, while Chester continues, “I was supposed to be going out ten-pin bowling with Lydia on Saturday night!”

Garry remarks that he will have to think of something else to do with Lydia, and tells him to finish the car with the other hand; “If you’re not going to work, there’s no point in you being here!”

"Something's going on – I know it!"

Dani comes in and demands, “Why are you giving him jobs? I hope he’s not doing dodgy jobs! Something’s going on – I know it!

"This is your chance"

“I left you at Christmas, but I came back on the condition that you tell me the truth about everything. This is your chance – come on, tell me.”

"The thing is – he's not telling the truth!"

Garry confesses, “He is worried about this Ffion investigation – I support Chester and his story . . . but the thing is, he’s not telling the truth.” Dani is predictably furious.

Chester does not like being laughed at

Debbie makes fun of Chester’s bandaged finger and warns him, “You don’t want to cross me, boy! I’m on the school Board of Governors and on the panel looking into Ffion’s case.”

"You know we're honest people!"

Britt remarks that at least Debbie is a friend and knows that they are honest people.

"It's top of the range stuff"

Sara arrives and shows Britt what she proposes for the bathroom; “The tiles are lovely, aren’t they? Plenty of room for a power shower, and it’s top of the range stuff.

"As long as Gwyneth is happy . . ."

“Siôn said that if Gwyneth is happy, he’ll pay whatever is necessary! Why settle for something cheap?” Britt does her best to smile.

"Listen, closet queen!"

“Listen, closet queen,” says Kelly, “If you can’t take it, don’t send out the signals.” Tyler insists that he is happy with his sexuality; Kelly adds, “But you’re worried about who knows!”

"Walking down the High Street with a sandwich-board"

He replies, “I don’t just want to walk down the High Street with a sandwich-board, announcing it. At Ysgol y Mynach, both children and parents can be prejudiced.”

"What about the children who are really abused?"

Dani berates Garry; “Chester has told a lie that could destroy Ffion’s career – and you support him? What about the children who really are abused? Nobody believes them because of kids like Chester who lie!”

"I don't agree with what he did"

Garry explains that he does not agree with what Chester did, but will support him.

“With your background of abuse, and what happened with Gethin and Moc – I can’t believe this!” Dani exclaims,

"Chester could be expelled, and Britt punished!"

but he asks what would happen if he said Chester made everything up. He could be expelled, and Britt punished.

“What about Ffion?” demands Dani, “I’ve got family in this too – Ffion is my brother’s partner. I don’t want their lives ruined because of this – the lives of Ffion, Gethin and Arwen! I’m disgusted with you!”

As she walks away he reminds her, “At least I told the truth!”

Vicky cannot get into the iPad's programme

Vicky says she can only give Gaynor a provisional appointment at the salon, as she cannot access the database. When Tyler comes in, looking for Dani,

"You know about computers, don't you?"

Vicky asks him, “You know about computers, don’t you?” and explains her predicament.

"How about a cup of tea?"

He advises she can set up a new account and password, takes the iPad and taps away, asking if there is any chance of a cup of tea.

"We saw a pair of choughs at Llangrannog"

He tells Gaynor that they saw a pair of Choughs (fran goesgoch in Welsh) at Llangrannog,

"You must have been choughed about that!"

and Gaynor suggests that he must have been ‘choughed’ about that.

Britt has found someone else to whinge at

Britt goes to the café, where she dwells at tedious length on her problems, which Debbie is not particularly eager to hear. “Siôn’s really upset me – he wants to get me out of his life. He’s spending a fortune on Y Felin – so Gwyneth gets everything she wants. While he was with me he wouldn’t spend a penny. But he’s like her little lapdog, turning the place into a palace – while we’re stuck in the flat, no bigger than a cupboard.

"We haven't got time or money for a holiday!"

“We haven’t got time or money for a holiday, while they’re lording it in Pembrokeshire. Then they’ll come back and turn Y Felin into a boutique hotel!”

"We need to talk, Dani"

"My sympathies lie with Ffion!"

Dani sits on a bench in the park, and Tyler joins her; “We need to talk,” he says, “Iolo told you, did he?

"Sorry for not telling you myself"

“Sorry for not telling you myself. Iolo should have kept quiet about it, and let me tell people – now everyone is giving me advice.”

Britt knows the code to turn off the intruder alarm

At Y Felin, there is the sound of smashing glass, and Britt walks in, disarming the intruder alarm which has started to sound.

She looks around the room, takes a photograph of Siôn and Gwyneth, throws it on the floor and stamps upon it.

"Iolo is simply trying to hard"

Dani advises Tyler that Iolo simply wants to impress him – he is trying too hard and has upset Tyler and himself. “You’re family, but number 7 is like a family too, and you should act like it.” As Garry approaches,

"I'll' try my best"

Tyler says he will try his best with Iolo.

Garry admits that he feels terrible, having to do this to protect Chester;

"Ffion's been through a lot!"

“Good! So you should!” is Dani’s response. “Ffion’s been through a lot, and what Chester has done is terrible, but Chester and Britt are your family. I don’t know –maybe no-one will be punished for this – we’ll have to wait and see.

“But I want you to understand that my sympathies lie with Ffion – I don’t want to land Chester and Britt in trouble either.”
