Today, Eifion is doing the ironing when Angela returns from her weekend in Cardiff; he is very pleased to see her, and asks where Courtney is. “I dropped her off at Elliw’s, and she’ll be home later,” Angela replies.

Eifion has been doing some research on the clinic in Arizona, which Courtney told him about on the phone, but Angela is angry about this. “It costs thousands of pounds!” she tells him, but he is insistent that if it means she will get well, he will find the money.

| Then Eileen arrives |
Then Eileen arrives and welcomes her home, announcing that she has applied for a £20,000 bank loan to help with the expense; she explains, “I couldn’t sit back and do nothing!”

Angela is increasingly concerned.

| "And then Arwen was gone" |
Debbie tells Anita and Kelly she almost had a heart attack when she saw Arwen had gone; then Cadno tried to blame her. Hywel asks for another coffee, and Debbie supposes, “It must be better here than in an empty flat,” but he says that he is coping.

Liam comes in and complains that Dol is still lounging in front of the TV, watching ‘Judge Judy’, although Ricky is doing his revision.

Debbie reveals that she has had a letter from the solicitor, wanting payment, and there is only just enough in the fund. Liam wonders how they can continue to pay the legal bills.

Anita joins Hywel, and he explains he has been trying to Skype Sheryl from the flat, but there is a problem with the WiFi there.

“We haven’t spoken since Saturday,” he tells her, so she invites him to lunch, and despite his objections,

instructs him to come to the Deri for one o’clock.

Eifion is eager to hear how this treatment for her aneurysm works, but Angela evasively replies, “It’s hard to describe – they use a lot of different techniques, and tailor the treatment to each patient.”

Eileen anticipates that she will have to go to America for a consultation,

and Eifion urges her to phone the clinic now to get some details.

Her response is, “I’d like to draw up a list of questions first – it’s a lot to consider.” Then, as the questions keep coming, she irritably tells them,

“I’m tired! I’ll phone when I’ve drawn up a proper list – I’m going for a lie down – it was a long journey from Cardiff!”

At Awyr Iach, Sara has been packing boxes, and instructs Jason to deliver them, but he has left the delivery address at home, and asks her to fetch it while he loads the van.

She of course objects to this, “You’d forget your head!”

but his excuse is that he was ‘otherwise engaged’ this morning, reminding her that it is important that they make use of the house while Dai and Diane are away.

She acquiesces to his request when he promises to cook his ‘special burger and chips’ for dinner.

Meanwhile, the flimsy and totally inadequate 3-lever lock on the back door of Bryntirion is readily forced,

and an intruder, clad in black, begins searching for something.

While Angela tries on a sparkly dress and high-heeled shoes, she hears something being delivered through the letterbox;

| In the parcel she finds £50 notes . . . |
on investigating, she finds a grey plastic-wrapped parcel, which contains several £10,000 bundles of £50 notes.

She rushes to the door, but can see no-one in the street.
As the intruder continues his search of Bryntirion, he hears someone approaching the house and hides under the stairs.

Sara enters, sees the mess which has been made, then the black-clad figure rushes at her, knocking her on to the sofa, and escapes.

Texting Eifion to come and meet her urgently, Angela totters out of her front door on her high heels, crosses the road and catches a heel in the roadside drain.

She falls on to the road, striking her head on the kerb.

Debbie and Kelly see the incident and hurry towards her; they find her unconscious, and Kelly runs to get Eileen from the shop while Liam phones for an ambulance.

| "If it bursts, she could die!" |
Eileen hurtles across the road, shouting, “Don’t move her – in case the aneurysm bursts! If it does, she could die!”

| "Don't pretend you're not lonely!" |
In the Deri, Anita tells Hywel, “You don’t have to pretend you’re not lonely!” After initially denying it, he admits that he does miss Sheryl – and Meilyr.

| "I should be surrounded by nappies" |
He continues, “I was expecting things to be different – I should be surrounded by nappies and bottles, but I’m on my own in the flat and Sheryl is on the other side of the world.” Anita points out that she knows exactly how he feels, as she is lonely too, even though she lives with Kelly.
“You’ll have Sheryl back before long – keep hold of that thought,” Anita advises him.

Angela is wheeled into the hospital, and the ambulance crew advises the doctor, “Angela Probert, 35 years old, hit her head.”
Eileen adds, “She has an aneurysm, diagnosed a few weeks ago – it could have burst!” The doctor will speak to her after he has examined Angela.

Jason hurries home and asks Sara if she is all right; “He took £50 from our room and Diane’s money box. I should have stopped him!”

Jason blames himself for not coming home, and vows that if he finds the burglar, he will kill him. Sara wonders if it is the same person who broke into Anita’s.

Eileen has been unable to contact Eifion when the doctor reports that Angela is not reacting much, but this is not unusual with concussion.

“I wanted to ask you about this aneurysm – I can’t find any notes about Angela on the system.” Eileen tells him all the information she knows, and Dr Elis asks the name of Angela’s doctor.

Eileen tells him, “Atkins? Atkinson? yes, Patrick Atkinson!” The doctor will try to find out what is going on, and meanwhile they are preparing Angela for a scan to allow them to find out what is going on in her brain.
Eileen resolves to try find the doctor’s details on Angela’s phone,

In the Deri, Kelly orders three double brandies for herself, Debbie and Liam. “You know what she said – that she could die?” says Debbie, “She is my best friend – why didn’t she tell me?”

At this point, Eifion walks in and Kelly demands, “Why aren’t you at the hospital? Angela collapsed!” Eifion turns and rushes from the pub.

Doctor Elis returns to Eileen and informs her that there is no Doctor Patrick Atkinson at the hospital. “She must have been at another hospital.”

Eileen is adamant that this was the hospital where she was treated, but is told that they have checked three times, and can locate no notes for Angela on their computer system.

| "We shall have to wait until she wakes up" |
He concludes, “The only thing we can do is to wait until she comes round and ask her – then we can sort this out.”
