Outside APD, Dai checks boxes that have been delivered; “Hey Jim, there are ten here and I only ordered five!”

| "What? You ordered them as well?" |
Jim protests that he always orders the tiles, and Dai has duplicated his order. “An idiot – that’s what you are!” roars Dai, and stomps into the shop.

| "Courtney's not answering her phone!" |
Angela arrives and complains to Jim that Courtney is not answering her phone. He advises her to give it some time, but she insists, “I don’t want her to get settled with Eileen at the shop. She’s not trying to sort things out – she’s so stubborn!”

| "Just like her mother!" |
“Just like her mother!” answers Jim, and carries on with his work, much to her displeasure.

| Home from shopping . . . |
Anita and Kelly arrive back from shopping to find that number 10 has been burgled, with cupboard doors left open.

“Don’t touch anything,” instructs Kelly,

| "We've had a break-in" |
“And I’ll call the police.”

| "This time next week, we'll be the other side of the world!" |
As Hywel does the ironing, Sheryl ponders, “It’s hard to believe that this time next week we’ll be on the other side of the world! I’ve asked Dani to keep an eye on the flat, and now I’m going to walk to the grave to say goodbye to Meilyr.” Hywel asks if he may accompany her.

Dai is on the phone to the tile supplier, demanding that they collect half of the consignment.

| "Has the asbestos been removed?" |
Ed comes in, ostensibly for AA batteries, and asks if they have removed the asbestos in the Deri. Dai tells him, “It turned out not to be asbestos,”

| "The floorboards are up, so it's too dangerous!" |
and in answer to Ed’s query as to whether he can go in there, says, “No, the floorboards are up for laying pipes and cables, so it’s too dangerous! Why do you care? It’s off your hands now.”

Gethin comes into number 10 and finds Anita waiting for the police. Kelly reports that they came in through the back door, smashing the glass,

then looks in the vase when she keeps her money;

| "Great! All my cash is gone!" |
“Great! All my cash is gone! A couple of hundred or so – the house sale just went through.”
Gethin asks if anyone knew about that,

| "I'll get APD to fix the door" |
and says he will go to APD to get them to fix the door and replace the lock.

| "My jewellery box is upstairs!" |
Anita realises her jewellery box is upstairs; “Meic gave me that jewellery – it’s all I have left!” but Kelly advises her not to go up until the police have been.

At the graveside, Sheryl says, “Diane promised to tend the grave – I had hoped that the three of us could travel one day, as a family.

“Life is short, so we must make the most of every day.”
Hywel wants to stay there a little longer, and when Sheryl has gone,

he addresses Meilyr; “Mam and Dad are going away for a while, but wherever we are, you’ll never be far from our thoughts.”

As Ed looks at the tributes paid to Dewi Owen on CnocCnoc, Angela walks in without warning;

| Angela pays an unwelcome visit |
he abruptly closes the laptop, as she demands to talk to Courtney. She says she will wait until Courtney returns from school, and makes herself comfortable on the sofa.

| "Did she actually go to school?" |
When she asks if Courtney actually went to school, Ed angrily replies,

| Ed cannot wait to get rid of her |
“How should I know? I’ll tell her you called – now go, will you?”
When she does, he reopens the laptop, reading the description of whoever killed Dewi – ‘murdering scum’.

| "Yes, Garry, it will be finished on time!" |
At APD, Jim is on the phone, reassuring Garry that all the work is going according to plan. Gethin asks him to come over to Anita’s to fix the door, but as Jim is so busy, he hands Gethin some plywood and a new lock for him to fit himself.

| "No, I hadn't taken them to the Deri!" |
Then Dai comes in, furious that the delivery driver has now collected all the boxes of tiles and taken them away; Jim had been under the impression that five had already been taken to the Deri.

To escape Dai’s wrath, Jim grabs his toolbox and heads to Anita’s with Gethin.

| "I don't know what to do" |
Hywel continues speaking to Meilyr, “I don’t know what to do –I’m trying to be brave and support your mother, but no matter where we are, you’ll always be on my mind.”

He picks up the photo from the grave, looks at it, and then makes a decision;

| Nothing but the money has been taken |
When the police arrive, Anita discovers that all her jewellery upstairs is untouched; Kelly assumes that the intruders were disturbed. As the two officers leave, Jim and Gethin arrive to effect some repairs.

“Jim only came over to get away from Dai!” Gethin tells Anita, who is glad that she will now be able to sleep without worrying.
Sheryl is cooking their meal when Hywel retuns, announcing,

“I can’t come travelling with you, and that’s the end of it – sorry!”

| "But everything's arranged!" |
She argues that everything has been arranged, but he points out that she cannot force him to go.

| "You said you'd support me!" |
“You said you’d support me – you promised we’d get through this together,” she pleads, but he asks how she can expect him to support her when his heart is in pieces.
He cannot let Meilyr go, and it is too soon for him; he does not want to be a burden to Sheryl.

“No matter where I am, what I’m doing, Meilyr is on my mind all the time,” he confesses, “You can’t run away from grief!”

Sheryl says that she needs to hold Wil and cuddle him – and she needs to help people who are suffering. Hywel responds, “That’s what you want – I respect that – but I have to be here where he was – where he is. I don’t want to hold you back!”
Anita holds the locket, given to her by Meic, and tells Kelly, “I don’t know what I’d do if this had been stolen.

Kelly finds a ring with a huge blue stone; “He didn’t have much taste, did he?” laughs Anita, but Kelly finds it attractive.

“I want you to have it,” says Anita, “And Meic would be pleased too.”

| "Why won't Courtney talk to me?" |
Ed goes to Angela’s to collect some of Courtney’s stuff, but Angela demands, “Why won’t Courtney talk to me? I’m her mother! You’re not taking any of it!” Ed says that he will tell this to Courtney, but Angela protests that this will only make things worse.

When he suggests that she just give her daughter some time to come to terms with things, she appeals emotionally to him,

“Who knows how long I’ve got left? Please talk to her, Ed.” Then she has second thoughts; “Sorry – you’ve got enough on your plate!”

| Ed is scared that she knows something |
This alarms Ed; “What do you mean?” and she explains that she is referring to Sioned’s illness. She asks how Sioned is coping, and whether she blames her sister.
“Sometimes when nobody knows, you can persuade yourself it’s not true,” she adds, but Ed reminds her that no-one chooses to be ill. She offers him a glass of wine.

Sheryl is insistent that they are meant to get through this together, and to support each other.

“I’m supporting what you want to do, and I hope you can do the same,” he replies.

“By leaving you here while I go off around the world? I’m not strong enough to do this on my own!” He assures her that she will not be on her own; she will have Darren and his family in Canada, and one big family with the charity in Africa.

“And we will be waiting for you when you come back,” answers Hywel, “We have to follow different paths for a while, that’s all, but I promise to be waiting when you come back –

| They appear to have reached an agreement |
Sheryl will trust him to do the right thing with Meilyr’s Fund.

“It’s not easy, is it? Keeping a big secret? – your illness, I mean,” says Ed, “It can be such a strain. After a while you forget what’s true and what’s not.”

Angela agrees; “I hate myself for not being honest with people, but I have no choice!” Ed regrets that once you start lying, you have to carry on; “And then it’s too late, and you can’t turn back!” adds Angela.

They turn and look at each other; Angela leans forward and kisses him.

| "We've got enough secrets already" |
“We’ve got enough secrets already, don’t you think?” mumbles Ed, and rapidly leaves.
