Ffion asks what the problem is
Ffion has been called to the chippy flat, as Britt cannot persuade Chester to go to school;
"I shall be all right on my own!"
“I know you’re afraid of leaving your mother on her own,” says Ffion, “She can phone if she needs you.”
"The teachers will go nuts!"
Chester protests, “The teachers will go nuts if I use the phone,” but she assures him that he has permission, she will give him her phone number, and if any teachers cause trouble, he should ring her.   He then agrees to go.
"Right, off we go!"
Tyler is smartly dressed, picks up his briefcase for his first day in the classroom, and leaves number 7.
"You didn't phone or text!"
As Ffion gives Chester a lift to school, Britt sees Gwyneth in the street;  “You didn’t phone or text!   Come and have a cup of tea,” invites Britt, but Gwyneth insists that she has to go to work.
"I'd like some company"
“Chester has gone back to school – it’s my first day on my own.   I’d like some company,” continues Britt, but Gwyneth is eager to get away from her.
"I've come to help!"
Sara has just arrived at Awyr Iach when Diane comes in;  “I can understand that you’re a bit edgy after the burglary, so in case you don’t want to be alone, I’ve come to help.”
Gethin drops in the invoice for the van, and Diane insists on paying him immediately in cash, much to Sara’s displeasure.
Pep talk from the head
At school, Gaynor talks with her new teacher;  “If you have any more questions, just ask,” she says, and then they meet Ffion, who is introduced to Tyler.
"Are you two related?"
“Are you two related?” he asks, “Both Gogs, and both Mrs Llywelyn?”   Gaynor tells him they are not, and hurries away.   Ffion tells him that Chester is back at school today, asking if he can be a bit sensitive and keep an eye on him.
"No, you don't do it like that!"
Sara finds fault with the way Diane is labelling the packages, then Siôn walks in,
Something has cheered Gwyneth up
and Gwyneth’s eyes light up.
"If you're not busy later . . ."
“I didn’t know you were back – did you have a good time?   If you’re not busy later . . .” he says.
"Did you want something, Siôn?"
Sara interrupts, asking what he wants, and he hands over some translating work that Jason had asked for.
"Forget it – you're nothing but trouble!"
Sara finds that Diane is doing something else incorrectly;  “Forget it – you’re nothing but trouble – just go!” she exclaims.   Diane, looking offended, picks up her coat and leaves.
"Do you fancy her or something?"
Chester tells Damien that he had been dreading coming back , but Mrs Llywelyn has been ‘epic’.   Damien’s reply is, “All you’ve done this morning is talk about her – giving you lifts and her phone number – do you fancy her?”
"I'm Mr Davies, your new DT teacher"
Tyler announces, “I’m Mr Davies, your new DT teacher.   I may be new, but that doesn’t mean you can take advantage.   It’s not long since I was at school, so I know all the tricks!”
"Put in in your pocket or bag"
In the classroom he notices Chester with his phone and tells him to put it away.
He describes their project for today
He then encourages them to be creative and design a logo which promotes them, and summarises their main attributes, but shortly afterwards,
"You could be suspended!"
Chester is again caught using the phone, and is warned that he could be suspended for doing it.
"You should know, sir!"
“You should know, sir!” Chester replies, “How many times were you suspended – two?   No, three!”   There is a gasp from the other pupils.   “Chester, outside, now!” he is instructed.
Chester will not give up his phone
Tyler tells him he can have his phone back at the end of the day, but Chester refuses to hand it over.   Tyler demands, “Give me that phone, or . . .”
Ffion interrupts and takes over . . .
“Or what, sir?” asks Chester, as Ffion approaches to investigate what is going on.   She informs Tyler that she has given Chester permission to use his phone.
. . . which is not appreciated by Tyler
Tyler is aggrieved that he was not told, and wants Chester to return to the lesson, but is overruled by Ffion.
This is rather inadvisable, Ffion
She accompanies Chester along the corridor.
He tells her that he tried phoning his mother at break, but could not get a reply, so was texting her.   Ffion reassures him that she will sort things out with Mr Davies.
"You should ask Diane to help"
Gwyneth apologises for leaving Sara ‘in a hole’ last week, but suggests that Diane could be asked to help at Awyr Iach;  Sara is not at all receptive to this idea.
"Live AND work with her?   No, thanks!"
“I’d kill her!   Live AND work with her?   No thanks!”   Gwyneth considers they do need someone else to do the accounts, and Sara thinks it a good idea;  “It would get rid of Diane!” she smiles.
Gwyneth cannot avoid her
Britt comes into Awyr Iach, wanting a word with Gwyneth, which is just what Gwyneth does not want.   “I was expecting you to call,” she says, and Sara agrees that Gwyneth can go early,
"I don't want to go early!
although she is reluctant.
Siôn sees them together
As Siôn emerges for the door of Bethania, he sees Gwyneth and Britt together.   As he locks the chapel door,
Gaynor meets Siôn by the chapel door
Gaynor passes and advises him that Chester was, on the whole, all right at school.
Siôn makes excuses
“Do you fancy a glass of wine in the Deri with me?” she asks, but Siôn says he is so busy with translation work, and with the chapel.   He proposes that they celebrate on St David’s Day in the Deri.
"How did your first day go?"
Tyler comes out of the shop, and Gaynor asks him how the first day went;  “I survived,” he replies, and adds, “I’m off to do a shift at the Deri.
"Ffion undermined me"
Something did happen with Chester today – I had the situation under control, but I feel that Ffion undermined me.”
Gaynor maintains that Ffion has years of experience, and knows her stuff;  “She did what was best for Chester.”   Tyler is disappointed.
"Can the kids and I move in here?"
The atmosphere at Gwyneth’s is rather strained;  “I didn’t get an answer – can the kids and I move in here?” asks Britt, “You disappeared without a word!   I understand that things have moved quickly, but don’t I deserve a text, or a little message?”
"It's not a good idea!"
Gwyneth answers, “I don’t think it’s a good idea to move in here,” and Britt says she understands that she should not do so immediately.   However she is shocked by what she hears next;  “It’s not a good idea – I don’t want us to be together.”
Not what Britt wanted to hear
Gwyneth describes their kiss as a ‘mistake’, and maintains there is no future for them as a couple.
"You must be glad of Diane's help"
Sara visits Anita, and after initial pleasantries, Anita says that she must be glad to have Diane’s help at Awyr Iach;  “Not every mother-in-law would be prepared to help!”
"I've found the ideal person – you!"
Sara informs her, “We want to make it a more permanent job, and I’ve found the ideal person –you!”
"But we're good together!"
Britt argues that she and Gwyneth are good together, and that they have changed since they were in a relationship before.
"It's the easy option"
Gwyneth, however, tells her, “I think you’re looking for comfort and support.   You’re looking for someone, and I happened to be there – it’s the easy option.”
"I've forgiven you for killing my brother!"
“We’re still friends after all that has happened,” insists Britt, “I have even forgiven you for killing my brother!”
"We're not meant to be together"
“Have you?” demands Gwyneth, “Or will you throw it in my face every time we disagree?   We’re not meant to be together – we deserve better.”
"So I'm not good enough for you now?"
“So I’m not good enough for you now?” snarls Britt, and walks out
"You can pretty much choose your own hours"
Sara continues her recruitment attempt;  “We want a local person to join a growing company,” but Anita is not keen to tie herself down to a full-time job.   “You can pretty well choose your own hours – do we have a deal?”
"All right, then!"
Anita ponders for a moment, and then agrees.
"But keep it to yourself"
“Excellent – but keep it to yourself for a while,” says Sara.
"I don't like Mr Davies"
Ffion delivers Chester back home;  he admits that the day was not too bad, “But I don’t like Mr Davies, though!”
"I'm proud of you!"
Ffion says that she is proud of him,
"He did very well today!"
and reports to Britt that he did very well today.
Chester speaks in glowing terms about Ffion, “Mrs Llywelyn was so lush to me today!   Mr Davies is a bit of a fool, but she sorted him out – really put him in his place.”

Britt is full of pent-up emotion . . .
Britt, however, listens to none of this, as she is smouldering with rage.   She folds up her walking stick and throws it down on the sofa,
. . . and dissolves into tears
then dissolves into tears.
