“I’m sorry,” he says, “I’m just trying to keep busy and out of Sheryl’s way while she packs. She’s going to Canada.”

| "She didn't say anything to me" |
Anita is most put out that Sheryl had not mentioned this to her; “The thought of seeing Wil is the only thing keeping her going lately,” Hywel tells her, “I’ve realised I can’t leave this place – and she couldn’t stay. Letting her go feels weird, but she’ll be back soon.”
Debbie, who has been on the phone, puts her coat on and tells them she is going to see a solicitor.

When they get back to Eileen’s, Sioned shouts at Ed, “How could you? We could have used the money as a deposit, or towards heart treatment! You never thought of me, did you? That’s our future – and you’ve given it to Mark Jones!”

“What if he has been wrongly imprisoned?” asks Ed, and she replies that it is nothing to do with them, and in any case why not a tenner, or twenty? “I just wanted to do someone a favour,” Ed replies, wearily, “But you wouldn’t understand that!”

Gwyneth is furious when she arrives at Garry’s flat to see Britt; “You used me – and now Siôn hates me!”

Britt nonchalently replies, “He’ll get over it – it’s nothing to do with him. Who cares?” When Gwyneth asks if she has no conscience,

Britt answers, “When it comes to Siôn, no!”

Gwyneth leaves, saying that she is not comfortable with hurting people, and that Britt has used her.

At the grave, Sheryl tells Meilyr, “I won’t be able to come for a while – not sure how long – but Dad will be here with you. I’ll be thinking of you, wherever I am.”
Eileen approaches them, having heard that Sheryl is going away,

and recalls that when they lost John, all she wanted to do was to hold on tightly to Sioned. “Make the most of the time – and come back when you’re ready,” says Eileen, “You focus on Wil, and that will give you strength.”

Britt has followed Gwyneth home and tries to assure her that it was not a set-up, although, not being a fan of Siôn at the moment, she did enjoy giving him a kick.

As Hywel and Sheryl walk back towards the salon, she admits that she will miss the place, and Hywel wonders what he will do without her.

“This is temporary – isn’t it?” he asks.
Sheryl receives a text with bad news;

| "Oh no! Anita says she's coming with me!" |
“Oh no! Anita says she’s coming with me!” Hywel reveals he let it slip out, so she hurries to number 10 to try and change Anita’s mind.

| "There's room for me on the flight!" |
“I’ve checked, and Darren says there’s room for me on the flight,” announces Anita, and when Sheryl says she wants to go alone, replies, “It’s all organised now!”

Sheryl explains that she has given the matter serious thought; “I realised that this is for the best, this trip is something for me to do on my own. I don’t want company – remember how you felt when you went to Patagonia?

“I want to see my son and spend some time with him – something I’ll never be able to do with Meilyr. Then I feel drawn to Africa, and if I can just help one child it will give my life meaning again.” Anita hugs her and urges her to keep in touch.

Debbie, who has developed a terrible cold, arrives at Anita’s, asking if she can work tomorrow. Anita enquires when she will be getting paid, but Debbie was under the impression that she was doing this as a favour to help Mark.

“It was at first, but I have worked a lot of shifts, and expect to get paid,” Anita tells her, “I’m really sorry about Mark’s situation, but I can’t afford to work for nothing.” Debbie walks out in a rage.

Ed has moved to smaller, hand-held weights; as he rhythmically raises and lowers them, Sioned enters in apologetic mood.

“I overreacted about the money – I know you were only trying to help. It’s a heck of a lot of money – but let’s forget about the £200! I can understand why you did it.”

This attracts Ed’s attention and he turns towards her; she continues, “You’re worried, and I am too, not knowing what’s wrong with me! It’s driving me crazy!” However he turns away again and continues his exercising as she loudly adds,

“Ed! Is this your choice of response? Maybe you’re not worried about me, but you’ve got a job to do – so get a move on!”

Gwyneth apologises for yesterday, but Siôn reiterates it is nothing to do with him. She says uneasily, “I feel awful – I’m annoyed with myself for letting Britt kiss me! One minute I’m your friend, and the next I’m kissing your wife!”

This causes Siôn to chuckle; “It is funny when you say it like that!”

| "Now she has forgiven me" |
Gwyneth recalls that Britt was baying for her blood not long ago, “But now she has forgiven me, and it means so much.”
“About time!” replies Siôn, “She has borne a grudge for too long – all she’s done is channel it in another direction –

“I’m her mighty foe now!”
Gwyneth maintains that Siôn was the only person to give her a chance, ands he explains that in his opinion she is a good person. “I think the world of you,” he says, “But if you want to carry on with Britt, I don’t have a problem with it. I won’t come between you.”

Out in the street, Debbie regrets her attitude towards Anita, and offers her some pay, which is declined. Then Britt joins them;

“Are you waiting to say goodbye to Sheryl? We all have to find a way of moving on – someone else will be doing that.” Debbie assumes she has found a new man.

Hywel comes out with Sheryl’s case, which Ed loads into the taxi, then Sheryl realises she does not have her handbag and dashes inside to fetch it.

Sioned complains to her mother, “The more I talk to Ed, the more he shuts me out and ignores me!

| "I'm scared of losing Ed!" |
“The thought of those tests scares me, and now I’m scared of losing Ed too. Why isn’t he here for me? I thought he’d be supportive!”
Eileen assures her that men have a different way of coping, and when it comes to the crunch, he will not let them down.

Sioned wails, “I don’t know what is worse – finding I have a weak heart, or that Ed doesn’t love me! I’ve never felt so lost!”

As Sheryl is about to get into the taxi, Hywel suddenly pleads, “Don’t go!”

She replies that she knows it is hard, but is how things have to be – for now.

“You are coming back, aren’t you?” he asks, and, after an inital hesitation, she promises that, yes, she is.

Ed starts the engine, and the taxi pulls away, leaving Hywel standing at the roadside, looking very lonely.
