In his flat, Garry is on the phone about a delivery, while Catrin and Aaron squabble over the packet of Astrochocs cereal; they end up with the cereal spread over the floor.

Garry loses his temper and shouts at Britt, “I’m trying to run a business here! Sort this out!” She looks stunned.

| "Here's the list of questions to ask Mark" |
Liam has just got up, and Debbie has prepared a list of questions to ask Mark, when he goes to visit later, to check that the flashy solicitor is doing his job. Dol comes in and wants a doughnut from the box on the table;

she is told to keep her hands off, they are for the café. Then the baby cries, and as Vicky is in the bath, Debbie goes to attend to him.

Ricky tells Liam he cannot wait to see his father, but Liam now considers it is not a good idea, as Debbie will go crazy.

“I’ve been looking forward to it all weekend,” protests Ricky, “I’m not a child – I thought you’d understand!”

Britt is at Gwyneth’s, complaining, “I’m not saying they’re angels, but a bit of support is not too much to ask! It’s no use talking to Garry – he’s always thinking of ‘Barbie’! Family doesn’t mean anything to him any more. The last few weeks have been terrible, but I really thought he’d be here for me.”

Gwyneth advises, “Show him and ‘Barbie’ that you can cope without them and move on – lock away the past!”

| "Every time I pass the chapel . . ." |
Britt points out that the past is all around her, and every time she passes the chapel, she is reminded of what happened. Gwyneth suggests, “They say that visiting the site of a trauma can help.”

Britt is doubtful about this and pleads with Gwyneth to go there with her.

| "Is the coast clear?" |
As soon as Gaynor leaves for school, Dol creeps in through the back door of Llwyncelyn, enquiring, “Is the coast clear?” and manoevres the pram inside.

| "How about a game of poker?" |
Sam fancies a game of poker; “Strip poker?” asks Dol, enthusiastically, but he refuses, saying that they will be playing for matches.

| "Who's stolen his porridge?" |
In the café, Garry is on the phone to his supplier; “9:30, you said!” Siôn remarks to Debbie that someone has stolen Garry’s porridge, and she agrees that this must have happened, seeing that he has been tucking into a full breakfast there.

Gaynor comes in, and noticing Siôn, says, “I was hoping to see you. I was wondering if there’s another meal in sight.” He agrees that Thursday would be a good night, and she is pleased.

When Liam enters the prison visiting room, he is amazed to see Ricky already there; “I came on the bus – you can’t stop me,” he says.

Mark is delighted when he comes in, and puts on a brave face.
“I enjoy working in the kitchen,” Mark tells him, “Tell Mam that I’m a better cook than her now.”

When Ricky says they are studying Henry VIII at school, and that he had six wives, Mark comments,

When Sam has won all the matches, Dol has become bored with the game, again urging him to play Strip Poker. “I’m not taking my clothes off for you or anyone else,” Sam replies,

“But, if you’re a good girl, there’s a bottle of whisky over there. Pour us both a glass while I pop to the loo.”
She fetches the whisky, then goes back for a second look at the bottles on display;

Britt hobbles into Bethania with Gwyneth; “I’ve had a lot of time to think, and I realise how bitter I’ve been,” Britt says,

“I used to be so angry with you, blaming you for everything that went wrong; whatever mess the Monks found themselves in – me, Garry, Brandon – it was always Gwyneth’s fault! It wasn’t all you, but I was too much of a coward to admit it.

“I’ve forgiven you, Gwyn – for everything. I want you to know that!”

As she returns to the scene of the shooting, she continues, “I remember thinking that the last thing I would see was the ceiling of Bethania –

She tells Gwyneth that at the beginning, she and Siôn understood each other, but by the end they had been living a lie for ages. “Brandon always said I had bad taste in men! He would have been here for me – not shut me out like Garry’s done!

As Ricky is telling Mark about his match-winning performance against Llanarthur on Saturday, the visiting time ends. Mark smiles while they leave,

Sam and Dol are dancing to Elvis Presley music, but she protests, “No, it’s Tom Jones for me!” Then Gaynor returns, and had been hoping for some peace and quiet during the lunch-hour.

“I might as well have a picnic on the M4!” she moans, then sees the half-empty whisky bottle on the table. Sam emphasises that it was just an innocent game of cards.

Baby Nicky starts crying, Gaynor takes a look and suspects he needs a clean nappy, but by this time Dol is dancing again.
Gaynor looks into Dol’s bag for a spare nappy, and finds . . . the bottle of gin which Dol had purloined.

“Right, that’s enough – you, get out!” Dol is unceremoniously bundled out of the door.

Then Sam is given a warning,

In the café, Debbie remarks to Siôn, “You must miss the Deri and the children – you have too much time on your hands now.”

Siôn assures her that there is a lot going on at the chapel.

Garry makes the heartfelt comment, “Make the most of it – you don’t know how lucky you are!”

Then Debbie has a phone call from Mark, to tell her that he does not want them to visit him again.

He says, “It was just so nice to see Ricky – I miss him so much that it would be easier not to see you at all!”
At that moment Liam comes in, and is admonished for letting Ricky go to the prison;

“I thought I could rely on you, but I wonder now if you should have stayed away!” snaps Debbie.

Garry is waiting impatiently as the long-delayed van arrives outside the Deri; as the driver pulls the new pub name board out of the back, Garry’s temper explodes.

“I said D-E-R-I, Deri! Take it back! And I want the right one by Thursday – right?”
Siôn witnesses this with some amusement, then sees Chester on the bench outside APD;

he asks why Chester is not at school.

“It’s none of your business! You’re nothing to do with me, so keep your nose out!” replies Chester and walks away.

goes through the gate on the left to the back of the chapel.

Meanwhile in the graveyard at the rear of the chapel, Gwyneth tells Britt, “Thanks for what you said - I thought I’d never hear you say it, but it means a lot!”
Britt replies, “I meant every word – you and me go back a long way. We’ve hated each other’s guts – and loved each other too. This could be a new start for us.”

Gwyneth replies that she would like that, and they kiss.

Of course, Siôn appears from behind the chapel and witnesses this.

When Britt sees him, she laughs, and Gwyneth furiously demands, “What game are you playing?” and hurries off, while Britt protests that she did not know he was there.
