| "It's a pity to spoil it" |
“We’ve had a lot of fun in the past – it’s a pity to spoil it all,” he tells her, but she leaves him in no doubt that he has spoiled it, and asks when he is going. “You know what you said about Sioned deserving better?” he begins, “She doesn’t need to find out!”

| "It's only right that she finds out what sort of bloke you are!" |

![]() |
| "Got your feet under the table, then!" |
“Well done – got your feet under the table at a good farm like Penrhewl!” comments Colin, “What does Gemma think? She seemed to be a good friend when you were in jail. Of course, it’s none of my business, but women are like buses – you wait ages for one, then two come along at the same time.”

| DJ does not look particularly amused |
DJ is not impressed; “If you’re making fun of me, you can stuff your wine! Spare a thought for other people’s feelings!” and he leaves the shop.

“I’ll probably see him in Cardiff – can I have his address?” she asks, but Gaynor explains that she does not want to upset Colin.

![]() |
| "Can't you read?" |
Iolo pokes his head out of the door; “Can’t you read?” Dai announces that they have heard that Siôn used a sledgehammer and then took it to Bethania. Iolo stresses, “Dad is going through a hard time – and so am I!”

DJ asks if he could just get a bottle of red wine, but the door is slammed in his face; Dai concludes, “I think that was a ‘NO’!”

“A little snog and a cuddle – and your farmhand is back!”
Cadno orders him to leave, but Dai is not finished yet; “You can fool DJ, but you can’t fool me! He was in a happy relationship with Gemma, until you stuck your nose in. He was going to Edinburgh to live with her. I want you to be straight with him, so he knows where he stands. See how you send him to buy wine – he’s a farmhand, not your personal servant!”
![]() |

Ed continues to explain to Sioned that he is worried about this dodgy bloke, Dewi, and that Vicky may have misinterpreted his concern as something else.
![]() |
| "What you're doing is dodgy!" |
Sioned’s answer is, “This whole situation is dodgy – giving lifts in taxis, doing things for the agency behind my back. Will you stop going on about Dewi? You’re as much a fool as her – any girl would misunderstand if you worried about her all the time – it’s not right to keep secrets!”
Ed is desperate to discover if she believes him, but she says,

![]() |
| "He went to see his father last week" |
Gaynor points out that Colin went to Cardiff to see his father last week. Colin makes it clear, “I didn’t invite him here – and I won’t in the future! You’re welcome to go to Cardiff, but I don’t want to play happy families with him – all right?”
![]() |
| "Ed is with me – understand?" |
Sioned arrives at Maes-y-Deri; “Don’t play the innocent with me – it might work with men, but not with me! Talking of men, Ed is with me – understand? Are you going to deny you kissed him?”
![]() |
| "I'm not desperate enough to go after Ed!" |
Vicky is absolutely furious; “He kissed me! That pig is trying to put the blame on me, isn’t he? I’ve got my own man – I’m not desperate enough to go after Ed!” As Sioned warns her to stay away, Vicky responds,
![]() |
| "At least, I'm not with a stalker!" |
“At least, I’m not with a stalker! He’s been watching Dewi’s every move – waiting in his little taxi outside Dewi’s flat in Swansea!”

| "I've already moved on from the Deri" |
“You have no idea what a relief it is, not having to be behind that bar again. I need to move on – well, I’ve already moved on from the Deri” Iolo asks what he will do with the pub, and he replies, “I don’t know, and you know what? I don’t care either!”
![]() |
| "She says you kissed her!" |
Sioned is back in the flat; “She says you kissed her! Is she lying? Do you promise?”
