|
Gemma arrives at Penrhewl; “I couldn’t leave Penrhewl without coming to see you,” she tells Cadno, who replies that she does not have to pretend to be OK, as she must hate her. “I did for a while, but I’ll be better off in Edinburgh on my own,” Gemma asserts, and presents Cadno with a farewell gift – a cake.

| "Let's have lunch at the Deri" |

![]() |
| "Er . . . we didn't go!" |

Obviously he is thinking of Vicky
|
He warns, “Be careful up there with men, especially older men – they can take advantage of a young woman. Flashing their cash around, posh cars – they use people.”

"I'm running TO somewhere!"
|
Gemma replies, “I’m not that naïve – and I’m not running away, I’m running TO somewhere!” Ed offers her some money, but she has decided, “I think it’s about time I stood on my own two feet!”

![]() |
"We won't see you again – will we?"
|
Siôn demands, “We won’t see you again – will we? I want to make that clear!” Wiliam replies that he hopes Siôn appreciated the fact that he has been ‘discreet’ about him. “You threatened me and my family!” insists Siôn.
![]() |
"I didn't mean what I said earlier"
|
“I’m sorry about that, and I didn’t mean what I said earlier,” apologises Wiliam, “You all welcomed me into Cwmderi – I’ll never forget that.” He turns and Siôn opens the door for him.

“No, we’re celebrating a new life, there will be an exciting time ahead for you,” Siôn tells him, “I guess both of us will be seeing some changes.” He declines Iolo’s offer to stay there tonight;
![]() |
| "I shall have the place to myself" |
“It will be nice to have the place to myself.”
![]() |
"What was that about 'being discreet'?"
|
Iolo enquires, “What did Wiliam mean about being ‘discreet’ about you?” and Siôn replies that he is not sure, and that he was taken in, just the same as Iolo was.
