22 January 2016 (1st)

Dani is happy in her work
Dani is quite enjoying working behind the bar at the Deri;  Garry tells her, “I’ll have a word with my partner about your pay.   Siôn transferred the Deri to Britt and me – it’s all totally legit!”   He produces the official documents as proof.
"You don't waste any time!"
“You don’t waste any time!” replies Dani, and he explains that when his wife wants something, he gets a move on.
"Don't tell Britt!"
“You said you wanted to work behind the bar – but don’t tell Britt, as she is under the impression that Siôn transferred it to her – I will tell her, when the time is right.”
"Mrs Rowlands will soon be home!"
Jim remarks to Sioned, “Your sister will soon be home from Las Vegas – Mrs Rowlands!”   She thinks it rather odd that he has bought flowers for his ex, but he answers, “She deserves a bit of fuss.”   Then he bites into his burger and grimaces;
"Urgh!   This is not fresh!"
“Hell’s bells, Garry – this is not fresh!”
Dani will not charge him for it, and assures him that Anita will soon be back in the kitchen.
"I'm getting the builders in next week"
Britt thanks Dani for her help, and adds, “I’m going to take your advice – this place needs a face-lift.   I’m getting the builder and decorators in next week!”   Garry is none too happy to hear this.
An intimate conjugal moment . . .
Eifion and Angela have just arrived back in the village, but before they can indulge in a kiss on the bed, they hear Eileen’s voice.
. . . is shattered by the arrival of Eileen
She tells them that they looked lovely in the photos Courtney sent, and asks how Angela is,
She certainly does not look very 'ill'!
hoping that she did not overdo it.
"I'll help you to unpack"
She insists on helping Angela unpack.
"Who's she on the phone to?"
At Bryntirion, Sara is on the phone, and Dai wants to know who she is speaking to;  “She’s using my phone, and I’m not paying reverse charges to North Korea!”   Jason informs him that she is organising a celebrity to open Awyr Iach.
"She's in charge of everything!"
“She’s in charge of everything,” Dai complains, “You need to take responsibility for your life, do you hear?”
"I'm paying the bill!"
When the call is over, he tells Sara, “There’s something sly and cheeky about talking like that on my phone, when I’m paying the bill!”
At the farm, not a very cordial atmosphere
The atmosphere is rather strained at the meal table in Penrhewl.    When Cadno says she will meet DJ for a few pints after rugby training,
"Don't want to be seen with a farmhand, do you?"
he replies, “You don’t want to be seen with a farmhand, do you?”   Cadno almost apologises, maintaining that she blew a fuse as she does not want people to think she is cheap and sleeps around.
"If you're not happy, I'll hand in my notice!"
“That was Eifion, blowing everything out of proportion!” says DJ, “He’s sticking the knife in.   If you’re not happy, I’ll hand in my notice!   You won’t admit that you don’t love me!”
"You're a lovely bloke"
“But I like you a lot,” she admits, “You’re a lovely bloke.   I’ve been hurt in the past and want to take it slowly, to see how things work out.”
Sara is after some press coverage
In the Awyr Iach premises, Sara rings Kelly to tell her of the opening;  “It’s not just another boring story about starting a business – I’ve got another scoop for you!   The person opening it is . . .”   Then she is aware of Dai and Jason listening intently, so she continues the conversation out of their earshot.
"She's making a fool of you!"
“She’s making a fool of you, keeping you in the dark!” warns Dai, As the man, you should wear the trousers!”   Jason snaps that he and Sara understand each other, and that Dai should keep his nose out.
The celebrity is revealed
At last the secret is out, as Sara completes the advertising flyer on the laptop – the celebrity is Sir David Brailsford;  now Dai is full of praise for her efforts.
Sioned is furious at what she hears
In the Deri, Dani suggests to Britt, “Why don’t we turn the flat into en-suite rooms?”
Sioned, on the other side of the bar, is enraged;  “What about Ed and me?   We’ve got an agreement with Siôn!”
"Siôn's not here – Garry and Britt own it, so tough!"
Dani announces proudly, “Well, Siôn’s not here any more – Garry and Britt own it, so tough!”
"What did she say, Garry?"
Britt is furious to hear this, and demands to talk to Garry right away.
Garry explains how this is all for the best
He explains that the Deri has been transferred to the pair of them;  “I knew something dodgy was going on!” growls Britt.   Garry says that, on the contrary, it is not dodgy, as Siôn can now settle the debt once and for all.
"And Siôn hasn't said a word to me!   Typical!"
Britt adds, “And once again he hasn’t said a word to me!   Typical!   And you’ve taken advantage of my condition!”
Garry argues that he has taken advantage of Siôn’s stupidity, and had to move quickly, in case Siôn changed his mind.
"I'm going back to the flat!"
“Now I understand why Dani is making plans for this place;  how could I be so stupid?   I’m going back to the flat – I want some time on my own!”  snarls Britt.
"That went well, didn't it?"
Dani pulls a face, but Garry assures her that nothing is going to stop her being behind that bar.
Angela has gone to rest in bed;
"I hope she didn't overdo it!"
Eifion tells Eileen that she was full of life in Vegas, and Eileen hopes she did not overdo it.   Then Jim arrives, together with Sioned who is in a terrible mood;
"An excuse not to invite us!"
This wedding was a big show, and an excuse not to invite us!
"We're not good enough for her!"
I get the feeling that we are not good enough for madame!   Your money from Penrhewl won’t last long!” she tells Eifion.
“Let’s celebrate the wedding of the century!   It’s champagne – no sparkling wine for her!   Your oldest daughter is so special!”
"It's time you knew the truth!"
Eileen has had enough of this and shouts, “Angela’s ill – it’s time you knew the truth!   She has an aneurysm, could die at any moment and there’s no treatment!   Now can you understand why we are making such a fuss?”
Sioned is absolutely thunderstruck . . .
Sioned is uncharacteristically speechless, as Eifion, in tears, mumbles, “We don’t know how long she’ll be with us!” and then rushes out of the house.
. . . and extremely apologetic
Sioned is very repentant when she goes upstairs to apologise to Angela for all the unnecessary pain she has caused and reveals that she knows.
"I can't believe you're so ill!"
“Mam told me to shut my mouth, as I was being so horrible!   This changes everything – I can’t believe you’re so ill!”
This deception is going to unravel, sooner or later
As she hugs her sister, Angela realises that her deception has got completely out of hand.
"Oh, just what I wanted!"
Eifion goes to Penrhewl, where he gives Cadno an inappropriate t-shirt and asks how things are going.   She answers, “You accused DJ of spreading filthy rumours about me!   We quarrelled, and he might leave!”
"That might be best for the boys"
Insensitively, Eifion replies, “That might be best for the boys – this is their home and it’s not right to have some man around.
Eifion emphasises that DJ is after something
Cadno insists that she would trust DJ with her life, but Eifion insinuates, “He knows you owe him a big favour – he didn’t go to prison for nothing!   He’s just thinking of what he can get out of this – you deserve better!”
"I'm a waster, am I?"
DJ has heard this conversation;  “I’m a waster, am I?   You probably agree,” he tells Cadno, “As I didn’t hear you sticking up for me.”   He turns and walks out.
"What if I caused her illness?"
In the Deri, Sioned is devastated, thinking that she may have caused Angela’s illness.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
“She might not have much time left – why didn’t you tell me?   I had a right to know!”
"If Cadno fell in love with the wrong bloke . . ."
Eifion joins DJ at the bar, and again says the wrong thing;  “I was only thinking about the boys.   If Cadno fell in love with the wrong bloke, it could ruin their lives.”
"I've really fallen for her!"
“So I’m not good enough for her, am I?” demands DJ, “I think the world of Cadno – I’ve really fallen for her!   It’s all right for you – with your marriage and fantastic holiday.   Not everyone has it so easy!”
Garry has come home to work on Britt
Garry tells Britt, “If you’re not happy, we’ll go to the solicitor and transfer everything back as it was.
"Siôn will have to find the cash"
Siôn can find the cash to pay the debt.”
As planned, Britt agrees to give the partnership a trial, as now that Siôn has done something else behind her back, she is determined to go on without him.
"I hope I won't regret it – for your sake!"
“I hope I won’t regret it – for your sake!” she warns Garry, “No dodgy dealings – understand?   I want to show everyone that we can run a pub honestly.   I’m going to lie down in the box room – it’s time you got your room back.”
"We can do whatever we like!"
Dani is jubilant;  “Our own pub!   Britt will be busy in the chippy, and we can do whatever we like!   It would be easier if we moved to live in the Deri –
"I want to get rid of Sioned!"
I want to get rid of Sioned!   Britt and the children can stay here.”
"Look at what he has achieved!"
Jason looks online at Sir David Brailsford’s achievements;  “His team won the Tour de France and Olympics!”   Dai is now full of praise for Sara,
"We're a good team"
and when she comes in she describes it as a team effort.
Again, Cwmderi is flooded with police
As police officers are seen in the street, DJ emerges from the Deri, picks up a handy brick, and furiously hurls it at Angela’s window.
"I want you, you idiot!"
Cadno drags him out of sight of the officers, but he says, “I might as well go back to jail!”
“I want you, you idiot!” she tells him,
"You're more than a friend!"
“When you were in jail, life was unbearable – not because I felt guilty – I missed your company!   You’re more than a friend!”
Is this for real – or simply a 'farmhand retention' strategy?
She kisses him, then suggests, “Let’s stay here a while.”
"Sounds good to me!"
“That sounds good to me,” DJ responds.
More evidence comes to light
Meanwhile, in the back street, the police make a discovery in the green bin – a blood-stained jacket;  “891 to control – we’ve found something here.”
