"It was all Sioned's fault!"
Dewi is at Maes-y-Deri, apologising to Vicky and blaming Sioned for the misunderstanding.   He is surprised to see Nicky;  “You have a child – you should have said.   We can raise him together!”
"Don't you touch him!"
Vicky has other ideas, and shouts, “Stay where you are – don’t touch him!”   Mark comes in and demands who the stranger is, and he introduces himself as Vicky’s boyfriend.   She says that he is just leaving.
"You'd better go!"
“Yes, you’d better go while you’re still in one piece!” warns Mark,
"You deserve better than this dump!"
and Dewi turns and grabs him, telling Vicky that she deserves better than this dump.   He leaves when Mark threatens to call the cops.
Colin wants to taste the curry
Lois is cooking curry for Colin, when Gaynor returns unexpectedly from school, suspecting she has caught flu.
He helps himself to a poppadom
Colin announces that Lois is making curry, with poppadoms, yoghurt, chutney – “The works!”
"Who's this pretty young woman?"
Then there is a knock on the door, and Sam arrives, having not seen Lois for years;  “Who’s this pretty young woman?” he asks, “Where have the pigtails gone?”
"Oh – it's him again!"
Predictably, Colin is not pleased to see his father, and accuses Gaynor of setting up this meeting, but Lois admits that it is her doing.
Lois is in control of the situation
“We’re going to sit down at the table together,” she instructs her father.
"Go and clean up my flat!"
At the café, Garry tells Gethin to clear up the flat while he is collecting Britt from the hospital;
"I'm a mechanic!"
Gethin naturally protests that he is a mechanic.   “You work for me, and I give the orders,” Garry tells him,
Garry threatens to sack him – again
“And if you don’t carry them out, you won’t be working much longer!”
"You're not welcome here!"
As Sioned leaves the café, Dewi comes in, and is immediately told, “You’re not welcome here!” by Ed.   Debbie objects to him talking to her customers like that, but he continues, “This is the pig who has been taking advantage of your daughter!”
"We quarrelled yesterday"
Dewi explains that they quarrelled yesterday and that he feels awful.   Ed once more accuses him of using Vicky, and he goes.
Colin cannot stand it too hot
Sam likes his curry hot;  “I hope you’ve got a fire extinguisher in the toilet,” he says.   Lois expects he must have eaten some exotic things all over the world, and he replies,
"I've eaten dog and snake"
“Dog in South Korea, snake in China – the chef got swallowed by a python!”   Colin extols the virtues of nice Welsh lamb with fresh mint sauce.
“It’s not right that you haven’t seen each other for so long,” Lois tells them, and Sam replies that he has sent birthday and Christmas cards to Lois and Esyllt, and always asked about Colin.
"I knew you were angry"
“You know why I cut off contact,” he tells his son, “I didn’t want arguments – I knew you were angry that I sold the house so soon after your mother’s funeral.   I couldn’t face going back there without her.”
"I'm not rolling out the red carpet for you"
Colin is still angry;  “Mam always said I was the man of the house.   I learned to live without you, so don’t expect me to roll out the red carpet for you.”
Dewi scares Sioned
Dewi pays a visit to Sioned in the Deri Deithio office;  “You’re going to tell Vicky what your game was!   You will, or your life will not be worth living!   It would be a pity to spoil that pretty face – it would need a lot of powder to hide a scar!”
"Great – the village idiot is here as well!"
Ed arrives and warns him, “Oi!   Stop hassling my girlfriend!   Get out and don’t come back!”
Dewi answers, “Great – the village idiot is here as well!   You’re both well-suited,” and as he leaves, tell Sioned, “Don’t forget to talk to Vicky.”
"Oh, it's just an argument he had with Vicky"
Sioned explains that he wants her to sort out an argument he had with Vicky, which leaves Ed very suspicious.
"A man's idea of cleaning, is it?"
Gethin has called upon Ffion’s assistance in Garry’s flat, and tells her he is simply hiding things.  “A man’s idea of cleaning, is it?” she laughs, and says she will make something to eat for when Britt comes back.
"You deserve better than a skivvy"
“You deserve better than a skivvy for a boyfriend,” Gethin tells her.
Sioned keeps an eye on him
Sioned is worried;  “His car is still outside,” she tells Ed,
"Right, I'm calling the police!"
who resolves to call the police.
"No, you can't do that!"
She protests he cannot do that, and confesses that she went to blackmail him;  “I was going to force him to give me £3,000 not to tell everyone about his personal life.   When Vicky turned up, he thought she was part of the scam.   She’s not safe either – he’s off his head!”
Ed plans his next move
Ed, although ostensibly comforting Sioned, is actually planning his revenge, and tells her he has to take a fare to Cardiff.
As Ed emerges from the door of the Deri, he sees Dewi’s car pull up;
"I'll give you a fantastic life!"
Dewi tells Vicky, “Come with me – Ill give you a fantastic life!” but Vicky replies that he has no chance.
"You're the sprog's father!"
When Mark warns him to leave, Dewi answers, “Why?   Do you fancy her?   I see, you’re the sprog’s father!”   Ed jumps into his taxi.
"You'll never see your baby again!"
Dewi’s parting comments is, “If you dare tell anyone about us, you’ll never see your baby again!”
Taxi-driver Ed is on the case
As he drives away, Ed follows in the taxi.
Vicky resolves that she must return to London,
"I'll kill the toe rag !"
but Mark furiously vows, “If he wants to touch Nicky, I’ll kill the toe rag!”
At least, they are washing-up together
As they do the washing-up, Colin tells his father, “I admit I’m not the perfect father, but at least I tried.   I supported Lois and Esyllt – and Gaynor – and we’re still family.   You don’t know the meaning of the word!   You’ve landed here because you’re old and lonely.”
Gaynor listens to the bickering
Sam insists that he will not be a burden, as he has always been independent.   Lois maintains that she enjoys having tad-cu here and just wants them to be ‘normal’.   “What if he stayed here for a while?” she suggests.
"There's plenty of room here"
Gaynor agrees that there is plenty of room at Llwyncelyn for him, but Colin is against the idea;  “You’ll never get rid of him!”   Realising that he is outnumbered, he warns Gaynor,
"You've made your bed . . ."
“You’ve made your bed, now you lie on it!”
"Don't expect me to forgive you!"
Then he mutters to his father, “Don’t expect me to forgive you – because I won’t!”
Ed's confrontation is recorded on Dewi's phone
Ed confronts Dewi in his house, and Dewi films everything on his phone, as he says,
"Stop this or I'll report you!"
“She was trying to be clever, and now you’re at it!   I won’t pay – I’ve filmed it.   Stop this or I’ll report you!”
Ed snatches his phone and snarls, “Do you hit women, too? – you threatened Vicky and Sioned!”
That looks like a rather nasty blunt instrument
“They deserved worse, especially your little slut!” rages Dewi, picking up a handy wooden sculpture with a heavy stone base.   Ed grabs a stacking chair from the verandah and hits Dewi with it;
Ed realises how dangerous a stacking chair can be
he falls to the floor and lies motionless.
He is horror-stricken . . .
Ed is horrified, says “Dewi?” and receives no reply.
. . . removes the fingerprints . . .
He wipes the legs of the chair with his jumper to remove any fingerprints, and also the door handle.   He deletes the film from the phone,
. . . and stamps on the phone . . .
tosses it on the floor and stamps on it,
. . . leaving it somewhat damaged
then puts it in his pocket and makes good his escape.
Britt has struggled up the stairs . . .
At Garry’s flat, Britt finds it hard going, climbing the stairs, and shuffles in with her walking frame to be welcomed by Ffion and Gethin,
. . . and greets Catrin and Gwern
and also Catrin and Gwern.   Gethin tells her he had orders from Garry to tidy up the place,
"We'll go and give you some peace"
then Ffion and Gethin leave to give Britt some peace.
"Dewi?   Are you here?"
Mark arrives at Dewi’s and looks around, shouting his name;
Then he sees the inert figure on the floor
then he comes upon the motionless figure on the floor, with a pool of blood under his head.   He tries to revive Dewi, getting blood on his hands,
He checks for a pulse, then flees
and is feeling for a pulse when he hears a woman’s voice.   Jumping up, he rushes past the woman and flees.
Garry outlines the cramped sleeping arrangements
Garry reveals that there are now bunk beds in Gwern’s room, and tells Britt she can sleep in his room;  she says that the box room will be sufficient – but Chester already sleeps in there.
"Where is Dani?"
“Dani will have something to say about that – where is she,” asks Britt.
Garry explains he thought she would be back
Garry sends the children into the other room, then reveals, “Dani’s gone away for a while, to try and get over the shooting incident.   I didn’t want to worry you about it, and looking after the children has helped take my mind off Dani.   I hoped she’d be back, but there’s no sign of her returning.”   When Britt asks what he will do if she does not come back, he answers, “I’m trying not to think about that!”
Ed comes up with a tale of a flat tyre
Ed returns to the Deri flat, and makes the excuse that the taxi had a flat tyre, so he had to pass the fare to another company.
"Why don't we have an early night?" – (or alibi?)
He suggests to Sioned, “Why don’t we have an early night?”   Sioned is surprised that he has forgiven her, and he says, “I’m no angel myself – we always get through everything together.”
"Ooh–er!   That sounds like the police!"
Mark arrives back in the village;  hearing a police siren, he parks in the back road, removes his blood-stained jacket and dumps it in a bin.
"Where are you going to live?"
At Maes-y-Deri, Vicky is frantically packing to return to London;  “I’ve got friends there, and the Social Services will find us a flat,” she tells Debbie.
Debbie’s reply is, “Dewi won’t touch you and Nicky after Mark has sorted him out.   Vicky wonders why she fell for that man.
Then Mark dashes in, looking scared;  “Have the cops been?” he demands.
"What have you done?"
Rushing to the sink, he washes his hands with washing-up liquid, while Debbie asks what he has done.
