Sioned listens to the radio news; “The man charged with the murder of Dewi Owen has been named as Mark Jones, aged 42, of Maes-y-Deri, Cwmderi.”

Sioned cannot believe that Mark did it, but Ed remains silent.
When she bends down to get something from a drawer, Ed shouts, “Whoa! What are you doing?”
but she is only retrieving her St Dwynwen’s day gift for him. He apologises for forgetting, but says,

“There’s been so much going on. Why don’t you fetch that Spa weekend leaflet?”
She casts doubt on their ability to afford it, but he answers, “Put it on the credit card!” Sioned protests that it was supposed to be for emergencies, and as soon she is out of the room, he pulls out from the drawer the phone, wrapped in plastic,

and proceeds to fix it, with a length of masking tape, to the back of the sink, out of sight.

| Angela is suitably impressed |
Eifion presents Angela with strawberries and red roses; he tells her that Gwynfor will be round to mend the broken window later. “An afternoon with Gwynfor – very romantic!” comments Angela.
Then Eifion produces the very shoes which she had admired in Las Vegas; while she was in the spa, he went back to buy them.

Just wait till Sioned sees them!” she says.
She sends a text to Sioned, about the shoes; “It’s not like Eifion to spend money!” remarks Ed, “He must be going soft!”

Sioned reveals that there is something he should know about Angela. “She asked me not to tell you, but it’s been on my mind. She’s ill with an aneurysm, which can be serious!”

They hear a strange noise, like drilling,

| "Is your stopcock under the sink?" |
and Jim walks in, wanting to turn the water off. “Garry wants to refurbish everywhere,” he tells them. When Garry joins them, Sioned demands why they were not told the work was starting today.

“I can do a refurb whenever I want, so you have to move out today!” Garry advises, and amid their protests, adds, “I can’t do the work with you here.”

| Siôn, alone with his memories |
In Y Felin, as Siôn sits alone with a slice of toast, Catrin comes in, bearing a bunch of flowers.

“I thought you could give them to Mam – you do still love her, don’t you?” Siôn explains there are some things he cannot go back and change – too much has happened and too much has been said.

“Will you at least give her these flowers, to show you’re still friends? Please?” she pleads, and Siôn agrees.

| "How am I supposed to pack everything on one day?" |
Sioned complains, “How am I supposed to pack everything on one day?” and Ed is becoming obstinate, maintaining that they are not going anywhere.

Garry warns them, “We can do this the easy way or the hard way. Do I need to get an eviction order?” Sioned tells him that they will want some money back – a month’s rent and two weeks as compensation, which Garry has no problem with.

She points out to Ed that they cannot live there with no electricity or water.

When Angela arrives at Eileen’s to show off her new shoes, Eileen is more interested in what she has learned online;

“Did you know that this aneurysm could be hereditary? Why didn’t you tell me? I could die!”

She ignores Angela’s confident assurance that she has not got the illness.
“There are tests,” Eileen continues, “And I think Courtney and I should have them.” Once again Angela is adamant that she does not want Courtney to know.

“What? I could have it?” squawks Sioned, but has to hurry off to pack.

Angela warns her mother that she is not to breathe a word to Courtney, or anyone else.

Garry’s flat is in a state of disorder, and Britt cannot wait to move into the Deri flat with the children.

When Garry comes in, Dani orders him he must tell Britt that they will be living in the Deri, but his excuse is that Britt is not yet strong enough. Dani insists,

and as he is about to broach the subject, Catrin comes in and asks her mother to go downstairs, much to Dani’s surprise.

Outside, Siôn presents Britt with the flowers, but does not receive any thanks;

“What do you think you’re doing? What right have you to use Catrin?” Siôn argues that he wants to do what is best for the children, but she snarls, “You weren’t thinking of the children when you wanted to give their mother’s organs away! That’s what I think of your flowers!” and she flings them to the ground.

As the door slams, Gaynor arrives;

Catrin begs Siôn, “Don’t make me go in there – I want to come home with you!” Siôn regrets that she cannot do that, and Gaynor takes her back to school,

Jim is helping Ed and Sioned with the packing; “Just what I wanted for St Dwynwen’s Day – losing my home!” moans Sioned. Angela comes to assist them and Ed commiserates,

Sioned does not regret telling him, against her sister’s express instructions, as she too could have it. Angela begs them not to tell anyone else, and then leaves.

Britt predicts that she will get all the blame for losing her temper and stopping Siôn from seeing the children. “But I’m still alive and have the kids – although I lost half the Deri!

Eileen has made a phone call about the necessary tests; when Jim comes in and announces he is taking her out to Cwm Delhi, she is less than enthusiastic. Jim is rather crestfallen; “I’ve been looking forward to a Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi all day!”

As Eileen is about to tell him what she has learned, Sioned and Ed arrive with all their worldly goods, reporting that Garry has now padlocked the Deri. Eileen informs Sioned that they can have tests,

Gaynor visits Siôn at Y Felin, telling him that Catrin seems fine under the circumstances, but that Chester was absent today. Siôn of course does not know what is going on with the children;

“I’m supposed to be their father, but I’ve let them down. They should be with me – this is their home, but instead the house is empty and the family has been torn apart.” Gaynor assures him that things will get better in time.

At Cwm Delhi, as they wait for a table, Jim wants to know how long Sioned and Ed will be staying, but Eileen has more important things on her mind.

“Angela’s aneurysm is hereditary! I could have it – or any other member of the family.” Jim immediately thinks of Courtney.
“There is only a small chance, but tests are available,” she tells him, and he insists that Courtney has to take the test. “However, Angela doesn’t want Courtney to know!”

“I don’t care what Angela wants! It’s not up to her!” rages Jim. Eileen insists she does not want Courtney worrying without reason, but he points out, “This is the reason! When she is finally told, what if it’s too late?”

Ed is outside the boarded-up Deri, secured by a substantial padlock; Sioned sees him there and asks if he has forgotten something.

Britt comes across from Garry’s flat; “Don’t take it personally – the kids and I needed somewhere to live. We’re moving into the Deri.”
Sioned protests that Garry told them they could return when the work is finished. “I don’t know what he has told you, but we’re moving in,” Britt informs them.

Dani and Garry are also having a meal in Cwm Delhi; “I can’t understand why you haven’t told Britt about the flat,” Dani complains, “Don’t forget that I come first now, OK?”

Ed and Sioned come in; “Britt has just said she’s moving into the Deri!” Garry responds that he does not remember telling them they could move back, and Ed threatens to take him to court.

“You’re welcome to try if you want to waste your money,” Garry advises them, “You don’t have a contract – and you don’t want to go to court, with everything I know about you! Would you take the risk? No, I didn’t think so.”
