The mystery of the vanishing furniture
Jason and Sara return to number 9 to find it stripped of all its furniture;   Jason finds a note from Gwyneth, advising that she has taken some of her old stuff, as it is more use in Y Felin.
"That's our furniture!"
“That’s not her old stuff – it’s our furniture!” rages Sara, “I’m going to Y Felin to rescue our stuff – and you’re coming with me!”
"Britt, at least text me!"
Garry leaves yet another message for Britt;  “I know you don’t want to talk to me, but send a text to say you’re OK.”
"I should have tried harder!"
He tells Dani that he tried to warn Britt that there was a chance Chester could go to prison, and should have tried harder.   Dani urges him to give Britt time, and says she has to go to Cwm Delhi to discuss food for the wedding.   Garry will go and see whether Britt is at home and if she will answer the door.
Gwyneth feels more at home
At Y Felin, Gwyneth is pleased to be surrounded by familiar furniture, but, following a persistent knocking on the door,
"You've stolen our furniture!"
Sara arrives and shouts, “You do realise you’ve broken the law, don’t you?   You’ve stolen our furniture!”   Siôn points out that it is actually Gwyneth’s,
"It's in the contract – fully furnished!"
but Sara responds, “You have to give notice if you want to enter the house – I’m not paying rent for an unfurnished house.   It’s in the contract – fully furnished!”
Gwyneth indicates that they will have furniture next week, when the secondhand warehouse in Carmarthen reopens, but Sara shrieks that she wants it before then.   Gwyneth reminds her that all this stuff is secondhand anyway.
"We'll buy new stuff, then, and send you the bill!"
Sara’s mind is made up;  “We’re going to buy new stuff – and send you the bill!”
Garry cares nothing for samosas and thali (whatever that is)
Garry can get no answer at the chip shop flat’s door;  Dani runs to him, announcing, “Cwm Delhi are doing samosas and thali for the wedding!”
"I have no idea where she is!"
Garry is completely disinterested, telling her that Britt is missing, and she has taken the children with her.   He has no idea what she might do.
"Why are you wearing that shirt?"
Ed is about to leave for his taxi-driving while Sioned is ironing;  “Why are you wearing that old shirt?” she demands, and he replies that it is the one he always wears.   “That’s why it’s so scruffy!
"This is the one you want!"
This one looks better,” she instructs him, although he protests that he has fares waiting.   “The clients will be glad you made the effort,” she goes on, “Perhaps I’ll treat you to a meal at the Bull this evening – be ready at 6:45pm.”
"Yes, of course I'll make the cake"
Eileen confirms to Dani that she will make the cake, and enquires what sort Iolo and Tyler will want;  “And desserts – trifles, chocolate pots, lemon posset,” she says.
"I hope I'm invited!"
Debbie, who is also in the shop, hopes she will be getting an invitation;  “There will be plenty of room – it will be out in the street!” Eileen tells her.
"Yes, gazebo, road closure"
Dani adds that the gazebo is sorted out and the road closure;  “If the application gets approved,” interjects Debbie,
"I'm not closing the café!"
“The local businesses have to OK it, and the café depends on passing trade – I’m not closing it!   As a community councillor,
"You won't get that road closed!"
I’m telling you now, you won’t get the road closed!” and she walks out.
Sara is in purchasing mode
In the café, Jason and Sara are looking at furniture on an iPad, and Jason asks if Gwyneth will be able to afford it.   “She’ll have to – we need nice furniture for when the baby comes!” answers Sara, “Anyway it will be an investment for her.
"Have you seen Britt?"
Garry comes in, asking them if they have seen Britt;  when he goes to the counter, Sara mutters, “Jail is the best place for Chester, if you ask me.”
"What did you say?"
Garry overhears and demands if she thinks he deserves to be in prison.
"He might change his ways now!"
“It’s only right that he’s punished for what he did,” she insists, “He might change his ways now!”
Debbie comes in and complains to Garry about the way Dani is planning a street party;  “She’s been avoiding me, as she knows the café would object to a street closure!   It’s a business, just like the Deri, and I don’t want to lose trade because of a wedding going on outside.”
"I don't give a damn about your pathetic little café!"
Garry’s anger is rising;  “My nephew’s in prison, my sister has disappeared without saying a word – do you think I give a damn about this wedding, or your pathetic little café?”
Garry does some online research
Later, in the Deri flat Garry is looking at the laptop when Dani comes in;
"Look, I'm sorry, Gar"
they both apologise to each other, and Garry says, If only Britt would let me know she’s all right.”   Dani is off to see Debbie,
"You won't get much support"
but Garry does not imagine she will get much support for her wedding party.   “The wedding’s nothing to do with me – and I don’t care,” he grumbles.
So that is what he is looking at
Then he looks at the laptop again – the website of ‘Care4Greece’.
The result of Sara's spending spree
Sara has decided on the furniture she wants, and despite Jason’s advice to check with Gwyneth first, orders it, with express home delivery;  “I can’t be without furniture – I’m pregnant.
"There – delivery Friday!"
There – delivery Friday!”
Dani makes no impression on Debbie
Dani receives an icy reception when she visits the café;  “There’s no room for sentiment in business,” Debbie tells her.   Dani appeals to Jason and Sara, who consider that supporting the wedding would be good publicity.
"They'll boycott the café for weeks!"
“If you refuse, half of the village will boycott the café for weeks!” Sara warns,
"Well, in that case, all right"
and this changes Debbie’s mind.   Dani insists that the café will not lose out.
"We've stirred up a hornets' nest"
Siôn predicts that they have stirred up a hornets’ nest;
"It will be too expensive"
“Knowing Sara’s tastes, the stuff will be too expensive for me,” worries Gwyneth,
"You could go halves"
but Siôn suggests they could split the cost with Jason and Sara.   She is dubious whether Sara would agree to that idea.
"Wear this, Ed!"
Sioned has chosen the clothes that Ed will wear to the Bull;  “Aren’t they a bit posh for the Bull?   I have a right to decide what I wear,“ he tells her, “You’ve never questioned what I wear before.”
"Well, iof you're going to be like that!"
“If you’re going to be like that, I don’t think I want to go out tonight,” she answers, huffily, “I can cancel the table.”   He maintains that he would like to choose what he wears, but is overruled;
"I've done it for you!
“You don’t have to bother – I’ve done it for you!”
Ed wears his customary 'doormat' expression
He obediently goes to change.
"That sentence must have been a shock"
In the Deri, Eileen commiserates, “Sorry to hear about Chester – that sentence must have been a shock.”
It looks as if Colin is with Britt
Garry asks if Colin is at work, and is told that he has taken the rest of the week off, and that he did not say where he was going, but did mention going home to pack.
“He has probably gone with Britt, and they’ve taken the children with them – I’m glad she has company,” Garry says, relieved.
"Sioned had a terrible time in prison!"
Eileen recalls that when Sioned went to prison, she had a terrible time, being bullied.
"Dani, we need to talk"
When Dani returns, Garry asks for a private word upstairs.   Sara thinks they might as well eat there in the Deri.
"We've got no table at home!"
“Why not?   We’ve got no table at home!” replies Jason.   Sara does not mind forking out on a meal, as they have been spending Gwyneth’s money all day.
"Britt has gone with Colin"
Upstairs, Garry tells Dani, “Britt and Colin must have gone away – at least she’s not on her own.
"I still feel responsible"
I still feel responsible for leading Chester astray;  the only way to help him is by setting a good example, show him there is hope – even for boys like me!”
But there the conversation stops
Just as he is about to explain, Dani’s phone rings;  it is Tyler, talking wedding cakes.
Y Felin is back to normal
The furnishings of Y Felin have reverted to two garden chairs;
"My conscience is clear"
Siôn feels that they have done the right thing, and his conscience is now clear.
"We'll get secondhand stuff"
Gwyneth intends to go to the warehouse in Carmarthen to restock the house.
"I'll pay for new furniture"
She is surprised when Siôn suggests, “How would you like to choose new furniture?   Don’t worry – I’ll pay, then you can choose what you want.   Gwyneth wonders what she has done to deserve this,
It is all going according to plan for Gwyneth
and hugs him, once again sporting that triumphant look.
Now it has all reappeared
Jason and Sara arrive home, turn on the light and discover their furniture has miraculously reappeared;  a note advises them that Gwyneth is sorry for causing this trouble.   Sara is by no means placated;
"If it's not good enough for Gwyneth, it's not good enough for us!"
“If it’s not good enough for Gwyneth, it’s not good enough for us!” she thunders.
"You're never satisfied, are you?"
Jason is dumbfounded;  “You were angry when she took it away – now you’re angry that she brought it back!”   Sara tells him he can cancel the order in the morning.
"Two red wines please, Dani"
When they get back to the Deri, Ed says he will pay for their drinks as Sioned bought dinner.   Dani comments that he looks posh, and he realises that Sioned’s opinion does matter.
"All you have to do is trust me"
“All you have to do is trust me and you’ll be a very happy man,” she tells him.
Although Dani is busy behind the bar, Garry insists he wants to finish their earlier conversation;
"I'm thinking of going to Greece"
“I’m thinking of taking up Gloria’s offer about going to Greece.”
"What – with Chester in prison?"
Dani wonders how he can think of that, with Chester in prison, but he replies, “There’s not much I can do for him, is there?   Colin is looking after Britt, and I’ll be back before the wedding.
"But I need your support!"
“But I need your support!” wails Dani, “How do you expect me to look after this place on my own?   I can’t believe you’re so selfish – you say you want to go and help people.
"You really want to punish yourself!"
But you really want to punish yourself for what happened to Chester!”
"I have to prove myself"
“No – I’m doing it to prove myself to Britt and Chester,” Garry insists, “I won’t be away long, and I’ll make sure you’ve got staff here.   I want to set a good example.”
Dani pleads with him not to go, and points out that Chester is in this mess because of him.   “I know that, and it’s about time I made up for it,” emphasises Garry,
"I'm going on Friday, and that's the end of it!"
“I’m going to Greece on Friday, and that’s the end of it!”
