"Well, have you found one yet?"
Ffion goes round to the garage to see if Gethin has managed to source a gun yet, then warns him that they need to go and get money from the bank.   He is keen to go and collect the weapon alone, so as not to expose her to danger.
Gethin is having second thoughts . . .
He even admits that he is wondering whether they have thought this through properly, but Ffion is adamant.
. . . but Ffion is still determined
“This sounds like cold feet to me!   I’ll go and get it, then   I’m sick of these people making our lives hell – and sick of you doing nothing about it!”
Hywel finds photos of Meilyr, and other items, including his teddy and nametag, on the table.
Sheryl is creating a Memory Book
Sheryl is creating a Memory Book;  “Not just to mark a year since we lost him, but it’s also a year since he was born – and that was a happy occasion.   It’s painful, but we have to remember, and this is the way I want to do it.
"It will be something for Esther to look at"
It will be something for Esther to look at – her little brother’s story.”
Hywel does not like being reminded
Hywel admits that Sheryl is stronger than him, but she says that they deal with things in different ways.
"I'm still not well, Gaynor"
Ffion phones Gaynor to say that she is still not well;  Gaynor reminds her that she is supposed to be presenting the Personal Training at their inset day, but Ffion argues tghat she does not want to infect anyone.
"I won't be working from home today, then"
“Perfect – I won’t be working from home today, then,” grumbles Gaynor, “I’ll come round later for the materials.”
"I think I've found one"
Gethin reports that he thinks he has tracked down a suitable weapon, and has obtained the money from the bank.   She insists she will accompany him, “In case you get cold feet again!   I’ve been imagining those thugs breaking in here – and coming face to face with me, holding a gun to their heads!   They would be scared then!”
"I could never be upset with you!"
When Ricky calls at Courtney’s she says she was worried in case she had upset him, but he assures her that he could never be upset with her.
"Use the back door next time"
“Could you use the back door the next time you come?” she asks.
As she has a shift in the café, she goes upstairs to fetch her shoes, so he practises how he will ask her,
He practises his chat-up line
“Courtney, will you go out with me?”   Her return startles him, and, turning round, he upsets a glass of squash over the laptop’s keyboard.
"Oh, not again!"
“Oh, not again!” wails Courtney, “I shall have to get someone to fix it!”
Ricky thinks it is advisable to retreat
Ricky thinks he ought to leave, via the back door
Tyler is becoming tired of the continual texts from his wedding planner;
"Are you avoiding someone?"
he sits on the bench by the salon.   Hywel asks him if he is avoiding someone.
"What's the best way to butter her up?"
Tyler has an idea;  “You were married to Gaynor – I’m going to book a few days in Edinburgh as a surprise honeymoon for Iolo, and I have to get Gaynor to give me two extra days off work.   What’s the best way to butter her up?”
"Now's your chance to ask her!"
Hywel does not think that will work, but as she is approaching, he tells Tyler, “Now’s your chance!”
"Let me carry that for you"
Gaynor is carrying the box from Ffion’s, and Tyler offers to take it to school for her,
"Of course I'll do the photocopying!"
and do the necessary photocopying;  she is very grateful for this unsolicited assistance,
It seems to be going to plan
and he smiles.
"Please, Hywel – Eifion will kill me!"
Courtney finds Hywel in the café, and pleads with him to help with the laptop;  “I spilled squash over it – Eifion will kill me if it’s ruined!”   Hywel remarks that it is not the first time, but he will dry it out and then check it at home.
"You could do a bit of baby-sitting"
As for payment, he suggests that she could babysit for them some time.
As she takes up her position behind the counter, Tyler comes in for four doughnuts,
"Doughnuts for Operation Edinburgh!"
and tells Hywel, “They’re for Operation Edinburgh!”
Sheryl is perusing photos of Meilyr . . .
At home in the salon flat, Sheryl is looking at
. . . such as this, when she suddenly . . .
photos of Meilyr on their laptop,
. . . discovers something entirely different  . . .
when she also discovers another picture, which she finds quite shocking –
. . . Gaynor and Hywel in bed?
that of Gaynor and Hywel in bed together.
Hywel is back with Eifion's laptop
At that moment he comes in and plugs in Eifion’s laptop to dry it out.
"Take a break from those memories"
He suggests she should take a break from all those memories, and Sheryl replies,
"In case I found something, is it?"
“In case I find something you’d rather I forgot, is it?   There are a lot of things that upset me.”   When he leaves for CwmFM, he thinks it wise to take the laptop with him.
"Come on Geth, we must leave now!"
Ffion insists that they must leave now, or they will not be back in time to collect Arwen, but Gethin tries to make excuses for not going.
"We're going ahead with it!"
She snarls, “I know what you’re doing – you came up with the ideal solution, and now we’re going ahead with it!”
"No, I'm not going to do it!"
He refuses to do it, but she shouts, “All right, I’ll do it by myself!” and grabs for the money, which Gethin also attempts to seize.
The notes go everywhere . . .
As a result the notes all fly up in the air and litter the floor.
The buzzer sounds at that moment;  DS Davies wants to speak to them.
. . . just as DS Davies turns up
While Ffion tries to play for time, Gethin scrabbles around to pick up all the notes.
"He agreed a plea bargain!"
The DS informs them that Craig Aubrey has agreed a plea bargain.   In order to get a shorter sentence, he is willing to give evidence against other criminals, and will plead guilty.   Consequently there will be no need for Ffion and Gethin to give evidence.
Ffion and Gethin are not convinced
Understandably, they are sceptical about this development, but the DS confirms that this is the end of the matter.
"Why would he do that?"
Ffion demands why he would do this, when he has so much to lose,
"You must not reveal this to anyone, but . . ."
and DS Davies reveals, in the strictest confidence, that Craig had been a police informant for years.   “Due to his close relationship to the police, and since he’s broken the law, we’ve worked hard to achieve a result that’s acceptable to everyone.   You don’t have to worry any more.”
The detective locates a missing banknote
On her way out, the DS picks up a note which they missed, and hands it to Ffion.
Sheryl is angry that Hywel has taken the laptop . . .
Sheryl leaves an angry message for Hywel;  “Why did you take the laptop?   You had no right to take it without asking!”
. . . but the other one is working, if a little sticky
Then she sees Eifion’s laptop and finds that it works, despite being rather sticky.
"Is the laptop all right?"
Ricky calls again, and Courtney tells him that Hywel is looking at the laptop;  he is very apologetic, and invites her over to Maes-y-Deri, as no-one is at home.
Courtney wants to stay there
“There’s no-one here either,” she replies, “It’s quieter here, and Hywel might bring the laptop back.”
"Are you ashamed of me?"
Ricky is worried;  “You don’t like coming to Maes-y-Deri, do you?   And you don’t want people to see us together – are you ashamed of me?”
"I don't want Dad to find out"
She confesses, “I don’t want Dad to find out, that’s all.   He’d try and stop us, and there are a lot of nosy people around Maes-y-Deri.”
"We are going out, aren't we?"
Uneasily, Ricky enquires, “You and me – we are going out, aren’t we?”   She says that she was under the impression that they were, so he presents her with a bracelet
The answer seems to be yes
and she kisses him.
Doughnuts for the head teacher
Tyler brings his four doughnuts to Llwyncelyn, and immediately Gaynor realises he is after something.
"Are you hoping for promotion?"
“What do you want, Tyler?” she demands, “Are you hoping for promotion?   I assess your teaching, not your ability to grovel!”
Tyler wants two days off . . .
He admits that he needs the Monday and Tuesday off after the wedding, to take Iolo on honeymoon.
. . . but he is told he is not getting them . . .
“I can’t allow that – you’re already having a day off to get married,” Gaynor announces, I hate teachers who take time off work without good reason – but I hate grovellers even more!”
. . . so he leaves, dispirited
Tyler takes his doughnuts and leaves, rather dejected.
Just when they are enjoying a bit of peace . . .
Courtney and Ricky are relaxing on the sofa, when Hywel arrives to bring back the laptop, so Ricky hides upstairs.
. . . Hywel brings the laptop back
Courtney tells Hywel he is a life-saver.   Hywel hears a noise upstairs,
"I was young once – last century!"
but tells her, with a smile, “I was young once, last century – enjoy yourself!”
"Hywel is really old!"
Ricky comes down, and is told, “Hywel is really sweet – and really old!”
"We almost bought a gun!"
As they sit on the sofa in Cysgod y Glyn, Ffion cannot believe that they almost bought a gun.   “What has happened to us?
"I wanted revenge!"
I wanted revenge – I wanted to see those people shaking with fear – I don’t recognise the person I was this morning!”
"It's over now, Ffi!"
Gethin reassures her that it is only natural to want revenge, but she must remember that the gang are the bad guys, and that it is is over now.
Gethin holds her tight
 “Is it?” she wonders.
An unmarked envelope has appeared on Gaynor’s doormat;
A blue USB stick?
she opens it, to find a blue USB stick.
She is very concerned when she sees the screen
When she plugs it into her laptop, she is aghast at what she sees on the screen.   She immediately makes a phone call and leaves the message,
"Someone has got hold of that photo!"
“Eifion, someone has got hold of that photo!   Phone me back, please!”
