3 October 2016

"Happening on our doorstep!"
As Ffion and Gethin unpack shopping from the car, they are incredulous that such a thing should have happened on their doorstep.
Ed meets Sheryl
Ed walks past them and encounters Sheryl, putting out the rubbish;
"I can't believe what happened to Gwyneth!"
she exclaims, “I can’t believe what happened to Gwyneth!   I hope they catch whoever did it – he’s dangerous!”   Ed agrees with her, then, when he sees Sioned approaching he quickly returns to the shop flat.
Gwyneth regrets the loss of the sofa
At Y Felin, Gwyneth is lying on several cushions on the floor,
"DS Davies phoned"
and tells Siôn, “The police will soon know who did this, I hope.   DS Davies phoned, and she is interviewing everyone again today.   They’ve got my coat for DNA, so something will come up.”
"I'm going into the village"
She intends to go into the village to see if it jogs her memory;  “I want to catch whoever did it!”
Ed watches the police presence
From the flat window, Ed watches two police officers come out of the café,
"I've got a job for you"
then Sioned comes in;  “Are you avoiding me?” she demands, “I’ve got a job for you – find your hammer and your muscles!”
"I want it put over there!"
She has a wedding picture of them which she wants hanging on the wall.
“Afterwards you can take me to the Deri for lunch,” she instructs him, “I’ve hardly seen you all weekend –
"I thought we understood each other"
after Thursday night, I thought we understood each other.   I saw DS Davies outside – she said she has been trying to phone you.”   Ed finds that his phone is on silent, but as soon as turns it on again, there is a call from the DS,
"Yes, DS Davies, no problem"
and he invites her to come up to the flat.
"I've got a surprise for you!"
Tyler is trying to catch up with his marking, after the court case, when Iolo wants him to stop, as he has a surprise far more important than marking.
"Come on, let's get going!"
He drags Tyler out of the house.
"That is where he – or she – came from"
Out in the back street, Gwyneth points out to the police, “That is where he – or she – came from.   It all happened so fast.”
"Come in the salon for a coffee"
Sheryl is concerned that Gwyneth is there and invites her into the salon for a coffee.   “Don’t you start,” says Gwyneth,
"I've got one mother here already!"
“I’ve got one mother here already.   I can’t understand what drives someone to do such a thing.   I’ve been racking my brains to think who I’ve offended, and who wants revenge.”
"The same colour as my coat?"
Seeing that Ffion is wearing a coat exactly the same colour as hers, Gwyneth asks Siôn to enquire when she will be getting it back after the DNA testing.
"At least you haven't done anything – this time"
Sioned waits for Ed in the Deri, and when he arrives she comments, “I was starting to think that DS Davies has arrested you.   At least you haven’t done anything – this time.
"Have a meal with us"
Siôn and Gwyneth come in and want Ed and Sioned to join them for a meal, as Ed was so helpful after the attack.
Siôn mentions that the police also want to talk to Vicky, as she found Gwyneth, as well as Ed,
"Vicky was there, was she?"
and this causes suspicion on Sioned’s part.
"I was the target!"
At the garage, Ffion harangues Gethin;  “It all makes sense now – I was the target!   The location, the motive, the coat.”   Gethin protests that they were just starting to relax and enjoy themselves,
"It should have been me!"
but she insists, “I relaxed too much – then the attack happened right outside home – it should have been me!”
Nothing that Gethin can say about Craig being in prison will dissuade her from her conviction;
"That's the second time this morning!"
then the garage phone rings, and no-one is on the line for the second time this morning.   Ffion will go and fetch Arwen, in case they do something to her.
"I'll be home in an hour"
“You’re paranoid,” Gethin replies, “You’d better go home before you worry yourself sick.   I’ll be home in an hour – then we can watch a film and forget about this nonsense.”
"What happened to you?"
Hardly has she left when Daniel appears, looking as if he has been in a fight.   He tells Gethin, “It was outside school, and I was scared, so I caught a bus here –
"They were following me!"
they were following me!”
"Are you going to phone her, or shall I?"
Gethin asks who is going to phone his Mam, and goes to get something to clean up the blood, but while his back is turned,
And there he was – gone!
Daniel disappears, leaving behind his coat and phone.
After their meal in the Deri, Sioned asks if the police have told her any more news;
"The DNA test didn't reveal anything"
Gwyneth replies that the DNA test has not revealed anything, and insists on paying for the meal,
"If it wasn't for Ed, she might not be here!"
Siôn maintaining, “If it wasn’t for Ed, she might not be here!”
"And I might not have known you were back with Vicky!"
“And I might not have known you were back with Vicky!” Sioned snarls at Ed, “You still fancy her!”   Ed gets up and walks out,
"Don't be so hard on him!"
with Gwyneth rebuking Sioned for being so hard on him.
"Ed and I understand each other!"
Sioned answers, “Ed and I understand each other!”
Gwyneth seriously doubts this;  “Just try listening to him,” she urges, “He’s doing his best!”
Ffion is told what has happened
Gethin runs along the street to ask if Iolo and Tyler have seen Daniel;  he is soon joined by Ffion.   When told that Daniel turned up in the garage after being hit by a gang, then disappeared, leaving his coat and phone behind,
"Craig's gang?"
she asks, “Do you think someone has taken him?   Craig’s gang?”
"4th November it is, then!"
Back at number 7, Iolo enquires, “Aren’t you glad I dragged you to the registry office?   4th November it is, then!”   Tyler would just like to finish his marking,
"Then we can forget last week!"
and hopes that this will enable them to forget the events of last week.   “And I’ll work on the guest list for the wedding,” adds Iolo.
"It will be, if you're there!"
Tyler does not want any of his relatives there, except Dani and Gethin.   Iolo protests that this is supposed to be the happiest day of his life;  “It will be, if you’re there!” answers Tyler, “I haven’t talked to my mother in ages – and she doesn’t know I’m gay.   She’s not part of my life, and as far as I’m concerned, I don’t have any family except Dani.”
"You haven't told her?"
This shocks Iolo, who says he must go and invite his father to the wedding.   “What about Gwyneth?” asks Tyler, but Iolo does not consider her to be ‘family’.
"You must keep your strength up!"
Sheryl visits Gwyneth, bringing flowers and chocolates.   Siôn goes on about Gwyneth eating something;  “My gran used to say you must eat to keep your strength up!”   But she is adamant she just wants to be left alone, so he goes to make coffee.
"He's constantly here, fussing!"
“He’s constantly here, fussing, when all I want to do is catch whoever is responsible and then forget about it!” she tells Sheryl, who gives her a hug.
"Do you need any help with that?"
Ed is hurriedly packing some clothes into a bag;  “Do you need any help with that?” says Sioned, “What’s going on, Ed?   Talk to me.”   He explains has had enough of everyone going on at him all the time.
"I'm suffocating!"
“I’m suffocating – with the attack, Gwyneth, us two on Thursday night!” he says, “Now the police are here, and I’m scared they’ll start asking questions about Dewi again.
"I wish this had nothing to do with me!"
I wish this attack had nothing to do with me!”
"It is nothing to do with you!"
Sioned stresses that it does not have anything to do with him, but he insists, “I can’t help it – I’m on edge – I just want to leave!”   She tells him there is no need for that;  he just needs to learn to tell her what is worrying him.   “I tried that last week!” he protests,
Sioned gives the impression of being sympathetic
and she hugs him.
"I've left five messages for her"
When Ffion brings Arwen home, Gethin tells her he cannot contact Natalie;  “I’ve left her five messages!   Where is he?   Why would he leave his coat and phone?   He can’t just disappear – do you really think someone has taken him?”
"Daniel has gone missing!"
Then his phone rings, and he advises Natalie that Daniel is missing.
"We're getting married on 4 November"
Iolo arrives at Y Felin with the good news that he and Tyler are due to marry on 4 November.
Siôn is delighted
Siôn greets the news, but points out that it is not very far ahead.
"Small family wedding, big party"
“There’s no point wasting time,” Iolo insists, “It will be a small family wedding, followed by a big party!”   He invites Siôn, and Gwyneth replies that they would love to come.
"We have to call the police!"
“She hasn’t heard from him since this morning – we have to call the police!” Gethin concludes, but Ffion urges him to wait, in case that makes matters worse.
"Would they hurt Daniel if you do?"
She wonders whether they would hurt Daniel if Gethin involves the police, but his mind is made up;
"My son is missing – or someone has taken him!"
“Hello, police?   My son is missing – or someone has taken him!”
