Dani's Sinderela joke
Dani scampers across the street and asks Siôn, “Why shouldn’t Sinderela play football?”   When he has no idea, she enlightens him, “Because her coach was a pumpkin!”   He points out that this would not work in Welsh, and she enquires how the pantomime script is coming along.
"Have you seen that behind you?"
He asks if she has seen that behind her;  “It’s behind you – very good!” she laughs,
A graffiti merchant has been at work
but then turns to look, and sees the word ‘RAPIST’ across Anita’s front door.
Siôn goes to call Anita's attention to it
Siôn goes across and knocks on the door;
"Who would do that?"
Anita, still in her dressing gown, is outraged and shouts for Kelly to witness what has happened.   Kevin comes to see what the fuss is about, and Sheryl in turn sees him.
"It was bound to happen sooner or later!"
Inside, Kevin prepares to clean it off;  Kelly asserts, “it was bound to happen sooner or later!   Do you think I did it?”   Anita points out that she has not been very welcoming,
"Thanks a bunch, Auntie Anita!"
and Kelly screams, “Thanks a bunch, Auntie Anita – I was trying my best!   Not everyone finds it easy to let bygones be bygones.”
"You're giving him a key?"
When he has gone outside to start the clean-up process, Anita asks Kelly to get a spare key cut for Kevin;  “This doesn’t change anything – he’s still staying here!”
Kevin begins his clean-up
Furious, Kelly leaves, and as she goes,
Hywel surveys the damage
Hywel comes round the corner, watches Kevin and smiles.
"I don't know how she can sleep in the same house!"
Outside the shop, Colin admits he does not know how Anita can sleep in the same house as Kevin.   Gaynor suggests that prison has changed him for the better, but Colin is adamant, “Prison doesn’t help anyone!”
Dani is looking for pantomime cast members
He is about to tell her about Chester when Dani comes over with a list, looking for applicants for the panto.   Colin fancies himself as the leading man, and puts down his name, then will leave it on the shop counter.
"Do you know anything about it, Hywel?"
When Hywel gets home, Sheryl asks if he knows anything about the graffiti.
Dani has little joy with them
Then Dani tries to enlist them for the panto;  “It’s not a good time,” Sheryl tells her, “I was just trying to forget and then some yob daubs it on Anita’s door.”
"I hope the alarm didn't wake you last night"
Then remembering Hywel’s night-time escapade, adds, “I hope the alarm at CwmFM didn’t wake you last night.”
Dani says she did not hear anything, and Hywel seems in a hurry to go;
Sheryl keeps an eye on Kevin
Sheryl looks along the street, where Kevin is still cleaning.
"He said he'll be the boss, once he gets out!"
Inside the shop, Colin tells Gaynor about Chester;  “He was odd, and a bit threatening – said he’ll be the boss, once he gets out!”
"I expect he's having a hard time"
Gaynor suggests that he only said that because he was having a hard time.   Colin suspects, “Probably giving someone else a hard time – but dont say a word to Britt!”
Only one name so far
At that moment she comes in, sees the ‘Sinderela’ leaflet on the counter with his name on it, and wonders how he will find the time for that, with Chester coming out that week.
"I'll need you to help Chester settle back in"
“I’ll need you to help him settle back in, especially after you got on so well last week.”   Then she tells Gaynor, “Colin has been like a father to Chester – but if amateur dramatics are more important – well . . .”
"You must tell her the truth"
Gaynor advises that he will have to tell her the truth;  he crosses out his name and agrees to do it right away.
The sum total of Siôn's script so far
Siôn has made no progress with the pantomime script, but maintains he has done a lot of thinking.
"What you need is a deadline!"
Dani is of the opinion that he needs something to get the creative juices flowing;  “A deadline!   The first audition is tomorrow night!”   He protests that there is no way he can finish by then.   “Oh yes, you can!” she exclaims.
"She's just putting on a brave face"
Hywel tells Britt in the Deri that Sheryl is behaving as if all is well, but it is simply a brave face.   Britt admits she would be afraid to go out in the circumstances;  “Debbie has banned him from the café – perhaps you could do the same here,” he suggests.
Colin wants to admit all . . .
Colin comes in with the intention of telling Britt the truth about his meeting with Chester, but she stops him.
. . . but cannot get a word in
“I shouldn’t have objected to you being in the panto – but you’re the only one who can talk to Chester while Garry’s away.   I’m worried how people will treat him when he comes out!”
"You can't compare Chester with what Kevin has done!"
Colin points out that she cannot compare Chester with Kevin, and adds that he has taken his name off the list, as Chester takes priority.
"I don't know what I'd do without you!"
“I don’t know what I’d do without you, Colin Evans!” she exclaims.
"Hywel, I know you're avoiding me!"
In the flat, Sheryl leaves a message for Hywel;  “I know you’re avoiding me – we have to talk.”   Then Kelly comes in to enquire how she is;  “I was all right until I saw your front door!” replies Sheryl.
"There's no way I could forgive Rhodri!"
Kelly wonders how she can forgive Kevin;  “There’s no way I could forgive Rhodri!”   Sheryl confesses that she still has nightmares about what he did, and it turns her stomach to know he is free again.
"No way I'm going to let him ruin the rest of my life"
“I lost everything – confidence, self-respect.   There is no way that I’m going to let him ruin the rest of my life – what I have with Hywel and Esther is too valuable for that!   Trying to get revenge does no good!”
"I don't know if I can trust him"
Kelly says, “Anita want me to get a key cut for him, so he can come and go as he pleases – but I don’t know if I can trust him.”
"He won't do anything like that again"
Sheryl is convinced that Kevin will not do anything like that again, and stresses that she has moved on, as it is the only way.
A nice coat of blue gloss . . .
Kevin is repainting the door when Hywel comes to taunt him;
. . . which Hywel threatens to disfigure
“I don’t know why you’re bothering – someone could easily paint over that, and I wouldn’t blame them!”
"It's not fair on Anita!"
Kevin points out that it is not fair on Anita, but Hywel continues, “If you weren’t here, it wouldn’t have happened!   It makes no sense, you being let out so early!
"I would have left you in prison to rot!"
I would have left you in prison to rot!”
Just as it appears this situation may escalate . . .
Kevin squares up to him;  “You can threaten me as much as you like – it makes no difference to me – I’m not here to cause trouble.   Everyone deserves a second chance – I have to live with what I did.”
Sheryl is approaching as Hywel snarls at him, “This is only the beginning!   A few years in prison aren’t enough!”
. . . Sheryl steps in and removes Hywel
Sheryl grabs him and drags him away.
"Why have you crossed off your name?"
A furious Dani rushes into the Deri and demands why Colin removed his name from the list;  Colin simply maintains that he will not be available.
Siôn engineers a stealthy exit
In the background, while Dani’s attention is diverted, Siôn quietly collects his coat and leaves the pub.
"Where's Siôn?"
Dani turns and is surprised to find Siôn gone;
"Disappeared in a cloud of fairy dust!"
“He disappeared in a cloud of fairy dust!” explains Britt.
"It will show him he's not welcome!"
Sheryl wants to know what paint on a front door will achieve;  “It will show that he’s not welcome!” replies Hywel, “And I asked Britt to ban him from the Deri!”
"Just what I wanted to avoid!"
This is exactly what Sheryl wanted to avoid;  she does not want him to have any impact on her life.   “He won’t if he’s not here!” is Hywel’s answer.
She demands, “You went looking for trouble – what if I hadn’t turned up when you were provoking him?   He could have turned on you!”
"Then he would be straight back to prison!"
Hywel jubilantly announces that then he would have been straight back in prison.
"You're going to apologise!"
“And you could have ended up there too!” she shouts, “You’re going to apologise!”   Hywel looks none too pleased at the prospect.
"Are you too much of a snob to get involved?"
Dani’s next stop is Llwyncelyn, where she intimates that Ffion will be taking part in the panto, and after some goading, like suggesting that Gaynor is too much of a snob to get involved, she agrees to participate.
"What's my ideal rôle then?"
“I have the ideal rôles for you and Ffion,” announces Dani,
"An ugly sister!'
“You can audition for the parts of Adorable and Prettily – the ugly sisters!”
"I should leave, shouldn't I?"
Kevin hopes that the door will not need any further painting, and says, “I should leave, shouldn’t I?   It wouldn’t have happened if I weren’t here, and I don’t want to cause you trouble.
"This one certainly doesn't want me here!"
This one certainly doesn’t want me here!” as Kelly comes in through the door.
Kelly has come into contact with the wet paint
“You should have put a ‘wet paint’ sign on that door!” she moans, having paint on the sleeve of her coat.   She hands the key to Anita, who informs her that it is for Kevin, so Kelly throws it to him.
“Well, that’s sorted – you’re not going anywhere!” Anita tells Kevin, and Kelly leaves the room.
"Come on, Siôn, I must have that script!"
Dani has now reached Y Felin, and is dismayed by Siôn’s insistence that he is not the person she needs to write this pantomime.
"I don't want to get involved in Cwmderi"
“I don’t want to get involved in Cwmderi, after all that has happened – I’ve changed my mind!”
"You can't wait until now to tell me!"
Dani protests that he cannot wait until now to tell her, but he replies,
"Better late than never!"
rather casually, “Better late than never!   You write it – you know what you want – and you’ve got plenty of jokes!   You wanted to set a deadline – now’s your chance!”
Dani wonders what to do next
Dani looks stunned as she leaves Y Felin.
The paint removal is not working
Anita tries, unsuccessfully, to remove the paint from Kelly’s sleeve;  then there is a knock on the door.
"I'd like to apologise, Anita"
Sheryl leads Hywel in, and he unwillingly announces, “I’d like to apologise, Anita, for the damage to your door – the chain and the paint.
They listen intently
I was so angry that he had the nerve to come back and upset Sheryl!”
Sheryl insists that she is not upset, and Hywel admits he should not have taken it out on Anita.
"Kevin deserves an apology, too"
She suggests that Kevin deserves an apology too, but this is taking matters too far as far as Hywel is concerned.
"I've apologised to Anita – right?"
“I’ve apologised to Anita – right?” he says;  he and Sheryl leave.
