"You haven't phoned Wil this week!"
As Anita puts out the rubbish, she sees Hywel and Sheryl;  “I spoke to Wil last night,” she says, “And you haven’t phoned him this week!   I know you’re busy with the baby, but can’t you spare five minutes?”
"All right – I'll Skype him later!"
Sheryl irritably replies that she will Skype him later.
"People will guess there's something wrong!"
Hywel warns her, “You have to calm down, unless you want people to guess there’s something wrong!”   She walks off with the baby.
Gethin and Ffion are shopping when Tyler comes in for a pint of milk;
"I'm serious, Ffion, back off!"
he turns to Ffion, says, “I’m serious, Ffion, back off!” and storms out of the shop.
"That's how problems start"
She explains to Gethin that she thinks that he is drinking, after he and Iolo split up.   “That’s how problems start – they creep up on a person unawares, before they know it.   I was thinking of telling Gaynor.”
"You shouldn't assume"
Gethin advises her against assuming he is an alcoholic, so she shoves the basket into his hand and also walks out.
"Sorry, I shall have to cancel the caravan"
DJ is on the phone, cancelling the caravan, then he apologises to Cadno,
"I thought it would be a bit of fun!"
“I should have checked with you first – I thought it would be a bit of fun, after everything we’ve been through lately.”   She tells him it was a lovely idea,
Now Cadno makes a phone call
and as soon as he goes out, she picks up his phone.
"The boxing match was not a patch on these two!"
Dol and Anita are both in the café, and Dai remarks to Debbie, “I heard that the Penrhewl boxing match was not a patch on these two!”   Then he tells them, “No wonder you got the sack!”
"I'm still waiting for my money!"
Dol says that she is still waiting for her money, as Anita has stolen her self-respect.
"Oh, listen to drama queen!"
Anita in turn calls her a ‘drama queen’.   In an effort to end the hostilities, Debbie tells her mother to sit down and shut up, and she can have a coffee on the house.“I can’t be bought, Deborah!” pronounces Dol,
"How about one of these cream horns – or even two?"
but changes her mind when offered a cream horn – or even two.
"It was Sam's idea to keep it secret"
Anita tells her, “For the final time, I’m sorry – but it was Sam’s idea to keep our relationship secret.”
"Well, you went along with it!"
Dol reckons she is still guilty for going along with the idea.   “Yes, I was wrong,” admits Anita, “If you want to bury the hatchet, you know where I am!”
Sheryl apologises
She leaves the café and meets Sheryl, who apologises for snapping earlier.
"Wil would love to meet her"
Looking at Esther, Anita says that Wil would love to meet her;
"You should go to Canada"
“You should go to Canada!”   Sheryl suggests that he could come here, but is told, “You know how busy he is with everything.”
"No, we can't afford it!"
Sheryl’s next excuse is that they cannot afford it, as she has not been working much, and she goes.
The girls are talking in English!
At school, a group of girls are talking in English;  Tyler, coming up the stairs, admonishes them, “Come on!   Welsh is the school language!”   As he walks towards them, he almost falls over.
"How much have you drunk?"
Ffion comes over and asks him how much he has drunk.   He shouts at her, “You don’t stop, do you?”
"Tyler – my office, now!"
The noise attracts Gaynor’s attention, and she orders Tyler to her office.
He protests that he has a class, but she replies, “Not today, you haven’t!”
"It's obvious you don't want me here!"
He is adamant that he is going home, as it is obvious they do not want him there,
He staggers off
and he stumbles off down the stairs.
Gaynor tells Ffion she will let him sober up,
Gaynor is keen to hush up the matter
and warns her not to mention this, as she must protect the good name of the school.
"We need someone to take care of the farm"
Cadno informs DJ, “We’ll need someone to take care of the farm next week.”   DJ insists that he can manage on his own, but she continues,
"I phones Berwyn back!"
“You can’t if you’re at the Royal Welsh!   I phoned Berwyn back!”
"But you hate caravans!"
DJ points out that she hates caravans;  “But I love you, and you want to go.   Mind, you’ll be making up the beds.   If I’m with you, I’ll be happy!”
"I'll pay for you, me and Esther to go to Canada"
Anita goes to the salon and tells Sheryl, “I’ve been thinking about Wil, and I’ll pay for you, me and Esther to go to Canada.   It’s a shame you can’t afford it, and I have the money saved.”
"I can't just drop everything!"
This time Sheryl stresses that she cannot just drop everything without warning – she cannot go.
"It's too early at the moment"
Hywel steps in and advises Anita, “Sheryl would love to go, but it’s too early at the moment, and Anita leaves, disappointed.
"You wanted to keep Esther under the radar"
He tells Sheryl, “It was your idea to keep Esther under the radar!”
Dol is getting on Debbie's nerves
Debbie is getting tired of Dol hanging round her flat already;  “The day don’t half drag for the unemployed!” moans Dol,
"I don't want her to think I'm a pushover"
“I can’t go and see Anita – I don’t want her to think I’m a pushover.   I’m being strong, not stubborn!”
"It's Sam you should be annoyed with!"
Debbie maintains it is Sam she should be annoyed with, as he made a fool of her.
"I can't hide for ever"
Ffion visits number 7 and finds Iolo has returned;  “I can’t hide for ever,” he says, “It was going so well, and then he changed.
"I always choose the wrong ones!'
I don’t know what I did – I always choose the wrong ones!”
Ffion tells him to sit down and tells him of her suspicions;
"I'd know if he had a drink problem"
“I’d know if he had a drink problem – we live under the same roof.” he says.   She asks why they broke up, and if he had been abusive.
"He's been weird"
“He has been difficult, weird – I asked him to marry me, and he said yes, but the next morning, he behaved as if nothing had happened.   He obviously regretted it.”
"Don't turn your back on him"
Ffion suggests that he might have forgotten, and urges Iolo not to turn his back on Tyler.
"I can't trust you to keep quiet!"
DJ goes to Bryntirion and tells Dai, “I’ve found a great way to propose – but I’m not telling you as I can’t trust you to keep quiet!   How would you like to be best man, then?”
"Are you sure you want an old fogye like me?"
Dai is reluctant;   “Are you sure it’s me you want?   You don’t want an old fogey like me to organise your stag party!”   DJ advises that he will be quite happy with a couple of pints at the Deri.
Dai goes on, “You’d be better off with one of your friends!” then admits,
"I might as well tell you the truth"
“I might as well tell you the truth – I’d find it difficult standing by your side, worrying you were making a mistake!   Cadno is a heck of a girl – but not long ago you were at each other’s throats.   I know you say you’re not bothered about children, but that’s no reason to put a ring on her finger!
"You have to get married for the right reasons"
You have to get married for the right reasons – I don’t want you to mess up!”
DJ is furious;  “The only mess I’ve made is asking you to be best man!   I’m going to marry Cadno –
"Don't expect an invitation, Dad!"
and don’t expect an invitation, Dad!”   He storms out of the house.
Hywel is deep in thought . . .
Hywel looks at the gov.uk website,
. . . as he looks at the gov.uk website
and the page headed ‘Report Immigration Crime’.   After some thought, he makes a phone call;
He shops Sheryl
I’d like to talk about my daughter, Esther – I think her mother brought her into the country illegally.”
"I forgive you for being a conniving little . . ."
When Anita arrives in the Deri, she is told by Debbie that her mother wants to say something;  Dol reluctantly begins, “I forgive you for being a conniving little . . . er, for going behind my back.”
"I'm glad we understand each other"
Anita is glad that they understand each other, but Dol continues, “Now all we have to do is decide what we do with Samuel – we need to teach him a lesson!   Just because you’re still seeing him doesn’t mean we can’t have a bit of fun!
"We'll be like Thelma and Louise!"
We’ll be like Thelma and Louise – it will be a classic!”
Iolo conducts an exhaustive search
Iolo suspiciously searches cupboards, then looks in Tyler’s briefcase.
Look what he finds in Tyler's briefcase
He finds a bottle, just as Tyler walks in;  “I hoped that Ffion was wrong!” Iolo says,
"That was a present from a pupil!"
and Tyler explains that it was an end of the year present from a pupil.
"It's easy to deny you've got problems"
Iolo is doubtful;  “I know how easy it is to deny you’ve got problems – admitting I had OCD was half the battle.”   Despite Tyler reminding him he is not with his therapist now, he adds, “I know it’s hard – it won’t disappear overnight.   Do something now, before it’s too late!”
Tyler, about to get out his phone
He goes upstairs, and Tyler , looking desperate, gets out his phone.
"You're worrying about nothing"
In the Deri, Gethin tells Ffion he is sorry for what he said this morning;  “It came out wrong – I’m an idiot!   You’re worrying about nothing – I’ve never seen him drink heavily!”
"You didn't see him today!"
“Not in public,” she replies, “But you didn’t see him today – he couldn’t walk in a straight line.   It was the middle of the day in front of everyone!   I can’t turn my back on him!” despite Gethin’s pleas that she let someone else help him.
Add captionDai, about to descend on DJ and Cadno
DJ and Cadno are planning their trip when Dai interrupts them;  he wants to check that DJ was sure, but DJ replies,
"Leave us alone!"
“You’ve said enough!   Leave us alone!”
He lies to Cadno that Dai wanted to be in charge of Penrhewl while they were away;
"He doesn't know anything about farming!"
“He doesn’t know anything about farming!” Cadno says, but DJ tells he she knows what Dai is like.   They resume planning their timetable.
Hywel looks at Esther's photo
After looking at a photo of Esther,
"There's something I have to tell you"
There’s something I have to tell you,” Hywel informs Sheryl, but she insists she has to apologise to him first.
"I promise to keep my head from now on"
“Sorry – me going to pieces is not going to help anyone!” she says, “I promise to keep my head from now on – it’s just that it’s harder than I thought it would be!   You and me, we’re a team, and we stick together.
"We're going to be OK!"
I won’t let you down, I promise – we’re going to be OK!   Now, what did you want to say?”
"Nothing important – doesn't matter"
He mumbles, “Er . . . nothing important – doesn’t matter”
