“I can’t,” replies Dai, “It was my fault – if he hadn’t been arguing with me, he would have seen Bobi!” Diane emphasises that he needs Dai now, more than ever,

![]() |
| "Are you going to tell me what this is about?" |
Dani enquires what is the matter, and is informed that Hywel has told the authorities about Esther’s visa. “It’s not safe – they’ll want to take her away!”
![]() |
| "You can't go on the run!" |
Dani tries to dissuade her from going ‘on the run’; “You’ll have no job, no money, no-one to help you – you can’t turn your back on everything! Please don’t do this! I’m going to phone Hywel – you can’t just disappear from his life.”

| "He has given me no choice!" |
“He has given me no choice!” protests Sheryl, “I have to put Esther first – you have the Deri and Garry. Please – Esther has already lost one mother – she can’t lose me as well! I’m leaving as soon as Rhiannon (Sheryl’s sister) has found somewhere for us.”
