| Anita is not in a good mood this morning |
Anita comes out of her front door, and ignores everyone as she walks along the street.
Angela is rather too gushing in her praise for Debbie;

| "I don't know what I'd do without you!" |
“Thanks for last night – it showed how kind-hearted Cwmderi is and I don’t know what I’d do without you!”

| Eileen is not impressed |
Eileen watches with disgust.

| "You've gone too far this time!" |
When her mother tells her she has gone too far this time, Angela replies, “You’re like broken record! I’m fed up with listening to the same old nonsense!” and invites Eileen over to the house.

| "I wasn't expecting to see you this morning!" |
Hywel was not expecting to see Anita, but she arrives at his flat, admitting that she misunderstood last night.

| "I thought you'd been flirting with me" |
“I thought you’d been flirting with me all day,” she says, but Hywel insists he was just being friendly. “You bought those rugby tickets and more or less invited me to come to Cardiff with you,” she adds.

| "We both knew where that kiss would lead" |
“And because of that, you thought you had to sleep with me?” he asks, “We both know where that kiss would lead – but I would like to explain something to you.”

| "How could you?" |
Eileen demands, “How could you? Pretend to be seriously ill – when you know there’s nothing wrong with you?”

| "I just said what people wanted to hear" |
Angela argues that she was only saying what people wanted to hear. “No, you were playing on people’s emotions!” her mother replies, “You took money that Hywel had raised for his son!”
Angela smiles broadly; “It was his decision to give it to me! If you were serious about this, you would have carried out your threat to tell everyone I’m not ill. Be honest with yourself – you’re enjoying this, aren’t you? This little secret we have makes you feel special.”

Eileen stresses that Angela needs help.
“You’ve been saying that for weeks, but not done anything about it!” Angela tells her, but Eileen maintains she cannot do anything until Angela realises how ill she is.

| "There's a bond between us" |
The taunting continues; “The truth is, you don’t want to do anything, because for the first time since I was a baby there’s a bond between us again – what’s wrong? Does that strike a chord at last? This involves both of us now, so if you have any intention of spilling the beans, bear that in mind.”

| "Meilyr is on my mind all the time" |
Hywel admits to Anita that Meilyr is on his mind all the time, and it feels that he will never be able to live with that.

| "It's OK to cry sometimes" |
Anita assures him, “It’s OK to cry sometimes, and to share your feelings – but with someone who’s not going to take advantage of you. I made a fool of myself. I fight every day to put on a brave face, because I’m grieving like you.”

| "How about a meal in the Deri later?" |
Hywel appreciates her understanding, and invites her for a meal at the Deri later.

| "I need to talk – it's urgent!" |
Outside the Antur, Sioned is trying to contact Ed on her phone; “Where are you, Ed? We need to talk – it’s urgent!”

| "Oi! Where were you last night?" |
Debbie shouts across to Dani, who is opening the salon, complaining about her absence at the Deri last night; “Tyler only coped because Sioned was helping him!”

| "It's not too late to send you a bill!" |
Dani is unsympathetic; “You got the Deri free – what more do you want? It’s not too late to send you a bill!”

| "Careful – I work for her!" |
Vicky urges her mother to stop it, as her job may be at risk.

| She must have dropped off in the middle of her chips |
In the back room of the salon, Dol is snoring away, with the remains of a box of chips on top of her, quite oblivious to the proximity of Dani and Vicky.

| Vicky is horrified by what she sees |
When Vicky goes into the room for some towels, and sees her Gran still there, she quickly slams the door, waking Dol, who grabs her possessions and exits through the back door.
Dani hears the door, and goes to investigate,

| "Chips – and a can of cider?" |
finding the chips and an empty cider can. “Reschedule this morning’s appointments – we’re doing a full stocktake!” she orders,

| "I'm going to find out what you've stolen" |
“Things have been going missing from this place, and I’m going to find out exactly what you’ve stolen!”

| "My phone battery went dead" |
Ed arrives back from his highly remunerative fare to Heathrow and Sioned excitedly tells him the good news.

| "I've sorted out your problem!" |
“I’ve sorted out your problem! While everyone was busy arguing at the auction, I slipped upstairs and got the phone!”

| "Are you sure you weren't seen?" |
After asking if she is sure no-one saw her, he finds that he cannot dispose of it, as Sioned has already done so.

“It’s best that you don’t know where it is” she advises him, “And I was very careful. You should be thanking me – not being paranoid! The phone’s gone! Forget about it – the nightmare’s over!”

| Ed is so relieved |
He hugs her, a great weight lifted from his shoulders

| Dani catalogues the missing items |
Dani summarises what is missing; “15 bottles of shampoo, 10 conditioner and 7 towels – where are they?” Vicky protests that she did not take them, suggesting that perhaps customers helped themselves.

“Did they take the milk, coffee and biscuits as well?” demands Dani, “The customers have been regulars for years! Not even a clip went missing until you worked here –

| Vicky is given her marching orders |
“there’s only one option – to sack you! Off you go!”

| "You're so generous, Hywel!" |
As Hywel waits for Anita in the Deri, Angela comes over, unctuously praising him for his generosity; “It won’t help anyone, sitting in a bank account – just have the treatment and get better!” he replies.

She goes to sit with Sioned and reports that Mam told her she should give the money back to Hywel; “She said it was for a child, not someone like me!”

| "Go home and pack your bag" |
Then Ed rushes in and tells Sioned to pack a bag,

| "We're going to London for the weekend!" |
as they are going to London for the weekend, and he has tickets for Twickenham.

| "We should not be spending time together" |
Hywel is disappointed when Anita comes in and argues that it is a mistake for them to be spending time together; “We’re friends who are always looking for more. Sorry!” she says,

leaving Hywel looking puzzled, as John Post tucks into his meal at the bar.

| Vicky tells Debbie about it . . . |
Vicky tells her mother what has happened at the salon, and points out that she has stolen nothing, but that she gave Gran the keys to the salon, where she could be warm.

Debbie rushes across to the salon to confront Dani, and offers to pay for what is missing, if she will reinstate Vicky. She says that Dol is actually responsible; Dani tells her, “Go – and take this thief with you!” Just then, a scream rings out from upstairs, and all three rush up there.

“Walking in on me when I was in the shower – pig!”
Hywel accuses her of breaking in;

“You can’t break in with a key!” Dol assures him, “I only borrowed the key – I got the salon keys from Vicky. A girl’s got to keep herself clean!”

As Hywel furiously orders Dol to get out right now,

she asks, “Any chance I can borrow a hairdryer?”

| "Which dress shall I take, Ed?" |
In the shop flat, Sioned is choosing dresses to take to London, and Ed advises her to pack something warm, as they are going to watch a rugby match. “I’m sure we’ll have time to enjoy ourselves!” she says.

Eileen would love to go away for the weekend, turn her back on Cwmderi and forget all her problems; “There’s always heartache where children are involved,” she concludes.

When they arrive at Maes-y-Deri, Dol is still protesting that she only had a shower. “Vicky worked hard to get a job there, then you came along and spoilt it!” stresses Debbie, “You were the same with me, spoiling every chance I got. You think of no-one but yourself!”
There is a knock at the door,

and Dol peers through the curtains, announcing, “It’s the police! Don’t tell me Dani grassed me up!” She rushes to hide the shampoo bottles.

DS Davies has a search warrant, and two constables accompany her; the uniformed PC searches the kitchen.

Ed and Sioned leave for their weekend, Angela again encounters Eileen; “I don’t think those two would be happy if they knew the truth – as I’ve told you time and time again,

The PC has pulled out the washing machine,

and found a blue phone behind it; as DS Davies puts it into an evidence bag,

she tells Dol and Debbie, “It’s too early to say whose phone it is, but I’m sure forensics will answer a lot of questions.”

Dol has reached a conclusion; “It doesn’t take a Mastermind to work it out, does it? Phones don’t just fall behind washing machines. It’s Dewi’s – we’ve got to face facts!
