Eileen informs Angela, “I picked this up in the Deri last night – but you wouldn’t remember! Angela, who is suffering the after-effects of last night, replies that she tried to get Debbie to cancel, but failed. “You have to tell her you can’t face it or something!” orders Eileen.

| Angela knows how to sort this out |
“She doesn’t believe me,” Angela wails, “But I know how to sort this out, OK? After the auction, I have to disappear for a while, then I can say the treatment was a success – and no-one will be any the wiser.”

| "That's deceiving the whole village!" |
Eileen tells her she is deceiving the while village, and stealing from them; if Angela does not stop the auction, she will tell Debbie about the £50,000.

| Vicky wishes her Gran would go |
Dol is in the salon, complaining how cold Maes-y-Deri is; Vicky is trying to persuade her to leave. Kelly is having a manicure, and boasting about her D’Alpaggio bag from Milan. Dani comments that it must have cost a fortune, which gives Kelly the chance to brag, “It cost £700, but now I’ve come into some money, I can afford quality.”

| "What does Colin think about that?" |
Dol remarks, “What does Colin think about that? He pays for all your meals and drinks!” but Kelly maintains it is nothing to do with Colin. Before she goes, Dol tells her, “But you can’t buy good taste!”

| "Where's all the coffee gone?" |
Vicky finds there is no coffee left, which puzzles Dani, who bought some on Monday. Kelly tells Dani, “Interesting plan – let people in the salon insult your customers!”

| "I want somewhere nice and warm to sit" |
Dol heads to the café, as she is looking for somewhere nice and warm. Debbie is busy preparing for the auction, so Dol volunteers to look after Ricky, who is upstairs, off school with a sore throat. “I charge £5 an hour, mind!” she says, as she goes upstairs.

| Dai wants a bacon sandwich |
Dai orders a bacon sandwich when he comes in with Diane; Debbie reminds him that APD has not given anything for the auction. He mentions the rugby tickets, but Debbie points out that they were from the rugby club; Diane assures her that she will find something.

| "All I got was a pair of gloves" |
Debbie also complains, “I only got a pair of gloves from Sara – worth a fiver if I’m lucky!”

and Diane agrees to talk to Jason.

| "Jason's washing is on the line" |
Meanwhile at Bryntirion, as Jason tucks into his cooked breakfast, Sara finds a note on the washing machine that Jason’s washing is on the line; Sara’s, on the other hand, is still in the machine and has not even been spun.

| "You won't risk upsetting your mother!" |
She moans that she cannot rely on Jason to speak to his mother about this; “You won’t risk upsetting your mother – that would mean standing up for yourself!”

| "You were rude to Kelly!" |
In the café flat, Vicky is angry with Dol for being rude to Kelly; Dol thinks she deserved it, with all her boasting. Vicky also tells her off about using all the coffee,

| "I've got to have hot drinks" |
but Dol replies, “I’ve got to have hot drinks – that back room is not much warmer than Maes-y-Deri!” Vicky does not know what Dani would do if she knew Dol was sleeping there.

| "I'm going to buy Ricky lunch" |
Dol decides she is going to buy Ricky lunch at the Deri, and he fancies a steak. “What he needs is a good dose of iron and some fresh air – and a brandy for me, for medicinal purposes,” insists Dol. When Vicky queries who will pay for this,

Dol tells her, “Where there’s a will, there’s a way!”

| "I don't think this auction should go ahead" |
As Debbie passes the shop, Eileen tells her she does not think that this auction should go ahead, as it might affect Angela’s health. Angela is approaching them, and Debbie thinks that she looks pretty healthy.

| "This will show how much Angela means to everyone" |
“This is a chance to show how much Angela means to everyone,” is Debbie’s opinion, “Come and see all the stuff I’ve got.”

| "Then no more lies – I promise!" |
Angela pleads with Eileen to let the auction go ahead; “And then no more lies – I promise – please Mam!”

| "Sara only donated a pair of gloves" |
Diane goes to see Jason at Awyr Iach; “Did you know Sara only gave a pair of gloves to the auction?” she asks him, “You can do better than that – you don’t want people to think badly of you! You can make decisions, can’t you?”

| "Right, a six-berth tent!" |
Jason goes and gets a six-berth tent, saying that Debbie can auction that.

| "Put it back!" |
“Oh, can she now?” comes the furious voice of Sara, who has just returned, “We can make a decent profit on that. We’re in business to make money – put it back!”

| "I've just told Debbie the good news!" |
Diane replies, “Tough! I’ve just sent Debbie a text with the good news!” Sara advises her to send another one, saying that she has made a mistake.

| "We are saving up for a place to live!" |
Jason is getting rather tired of this; “We are saving up for a place to live – it’s not healthy, living with you and Dai. Don’t you want to be alone sometimes? You’re always busy with the Council, or over here – the truth is that just living with Dai is not enough for you!”

| "I would have helped you . . ." |
Diane protests that she likes to help people; “I would have helped you if Sara hadn’t given the job to Anita!”

| Jason appears to be losing his temper (or his mind) |
Jason confirms to her, “It was a joint decision, because we don’t want you interfering in our business! Not everyone needs your help, Mam!” Diane storms off, vowing that she will not forget this;

Jason turns to Sara, and asks, “Happy now?”

| "Can we put our meal on a tab?" |
In the Deri, Ricky has a word with Dani; “Can we put our meals on a tab, as Gran’s left her purse at home?” Dani, rather naïvely, agrees to this,

while Kelly, who has been listening, remarks to Dol that most people pay for what they get.
Dol tells Ricky, “I’m going to punch her one day!” then asks him if he will teach her Welsh.

“And then I’ll buy you a steak every week. I don’t want to be the best – just speak like you lot.”

| Dai is told there is something wrong with their marriage |
Diane tells Dai, “Jason said there was something wrong with our marriage, and that’s why I interfere in people’s lives, and the reason I’m a councillor. He’s never spoken to me like that before!”

| "You tend to go overboard" |
Dai advises that she should have kept her nose out of the auction business; “You tend to go overboard with all good intentions. People don’t appreciate you.”

| "Maybe we need marriage guidance" |
She muses, “Maybe I feel lonely in our relationship – all you and I do is argue. Maybe we need marriage guidance.” Dai’s more basic evaluation of the problem is that Jason needs a good smack on the backside.

| Eileen is miles away |
Eileen is very pensive in the shop when Kelly says she will want an interview about Angela’s auction – she is writing an article about it. Eileen is alarmed at the prospect of more publicity.

| "Where's my purse?" |
Kelly finds that her purse is missing from her designer handbag, and rushes to see if she left it in the Deri.

| "It's important that I see you!" |
Meanwhile, Eileen phones Angela and leaves a message that she must see her urgently.

| "What's this about marital problems?" |
Dai marches angrily into Awyr Iach; “What’s this about you telling people your mother and I are having marital problems? Apologise to your mother – you’ve upset her!”

| "I'll apologise, when she apologises to Sara!" |
Jason replies, “I will apologise to Mam, when she apologises to Sara for being so childish since Anita has been working here – we don’t need your help here, Mam – we coped fine without you in Australia!”

| "Why did you come home then?" |
Diane wonders why they came home, if it was such a bed of roses. Jason answers that she knows very well; “To start a family,” sneers Diane, “If that’s what you want, you’re wasting your time with Sara!”

| "Why are you obsessed with us having children?" |
Jason wonders why his mother is obsessed with them having children. “She’s the problem!” exclaims Diane, pointing at Sara,

| 'She is my wife!" |
and Jason points out that she is his wife. “Yes, and that’s the greatest tragedy!” Diane shouts, “You won’t hear from me ever again!” and she storms out, followed by Dai.

| The poor unsuspecting customer wonders what is going on |
Kelly runs into the salon; “My purse is gone! It’s not in the Deri – someone must have nicked it!” She looks at Vicky, and adds, “You’ve been in the same places as me today!”
Vicky asks, “Are you calling me a thief?” then says that she will go to the café and see if it is there.

Dani advises Kelly to check the facts before making accusations.

| "By the way, you owe the Deri fifteen quid" |
Dol casually announces to Debbie, “You owe the Deri fifteen quid – I took Ricky out for lunch and had no money. Dani said you could pay later, as it was for Ricky!” Debbie is disgusted and likens it to stealing from her. Ricky offers to pay it out of his pocket money.

Debbie tells him, “I don’t mind buying your lunch, but I’m fed up with your Gran taking advantage.” Dol concludes that as they treat old people terribly in this country, she wishes she was in Japan.

Vicky comes in, asking her mother if a purse has been found in the café, as Kelly thinks hers has been stolen.

“Serve the scrawny cow right!” is Dol’s comment, and Vicky has a sneaking suspicion it might have been her.

| "It's 'Accuse Dol Day' is it?" |
“Its ‘Accuse Dol Day’ is it?” she demands, “First your mother, then you. I’m not staying here to be insulted!” She grabs her coat and goes.

When Ricky picks up his jacket, Vicky sees a purse on the sofa;

Ricky admits he took it to teach Kelly a lesson, as she was so nasty to his Gran.

Vicky is horrified, and insists that he return it straightaway, as she does not want him landing in prison.

| "You're enjoying all the attention!" |
Eileen reprimands Angela, “I thought you wanted the auction cancelled – but you’re enjoying the attention and sympathy.

| "It's time to come clean!" |
“It’s time to come clean, and if you don’t cancel it, I’ll tell Debbie the reason why.”
“You’re willing to admit your part in this?” demands Angela, “And what about Sioned?”

| Ricky gets a tenner for finding it 'in the café' |
Ricky and his sister return the purse to Kelly; she is absolutely delighted, and rewards Ricky with a £10 note, which Vicky maintains he can use it towards the cost of the food.

| "You don't have the guts to tell anyone!" |
Angela calls Eileen’s bluff, “You don’t have the guts to tell anyone! You could tell Sioned at the funeral tomorrow – she’ll be emotional anyway, so a bit more hurt won’t be a problem! I wonder how she’ll feel, knowing you deceived her all this time.”

Eileen admits defeat; “All right, I won’t say anything – I’m not doing this for you, but for Sioned. I won’t do anything for you ever again!” Angela comments that is a terrible thing to say, but her mother is unrepentant;

“I mean it! You’ve gone too far this time! – And stay away from the funeral – you’re not welcome! You could use your ‘illness’ as an excuse.”

| "Don't you dare come!" |
As Angela protests that she is a part of this family, Eileen reiterates, “Don’t you dare come!”
