Gwern searches for eggs in Y Felin's extensive grounds
Gwern is engaged upon an Easter Egg hunt in the garden of Y Felin, while Siôn sits nearby, smiling.
"Are you worried about what Megan said?"
Gwyneth asks if he is still worried about what Megan said.
"She doesn't make empty threats"
“She doesn’t make empty threats,” he replies, “You’d be surprised – she can influence people.”
"We want members with some 'get up and go'!"
Gwyneth’s reaction is, “If they’re foolish enough to listen to her, then let them stay away – we want some new members with some get up and go!”   Siôn concedes that she may be right.
Angela is about to call Ed
Just as Angela is about to phone Ed, Eifion comes in and finds there is no bread.
"We can't go on like this"
He announces, “We can’t go on like this – we have to sort something out – do you want to come to the Deri for lunch?”
"I'm not very hungry these days"
She makes excuses that she is busy, and that she is not very hungry these days, but he insists, “I am making an effort here!” so she agrees.
"When can you go back to work?"
Mark is babysitting and counting the small change in the large jar when Vicky comes back and asks when he will be able to return to work;  he has no idea when that will be.
"I've found a fairy godmother"
“By the way, I think I’ve found a fairy godmother,” he says, showing her the tickets and accompanying note.   “They’re from Stacey, and she sent them anonymously, so she must be feeling guilty.”
Vicky asks when he and Ricky are going, and is amazed when he answers that they are not;  “She can’t just send me off on holiday and expect forgiveness for not being around!”
"Ricky will be gutted!"
Vicky predicts that Ricky will be gutted.
When Angela and Eifion arrive at the Deri, she says she will go and get the drinks, mainly because Ed is once more at the bar.
"You've been talking to Eileen about me"
She sidles up to him, saying, “Eileen came to see me last night, and said you were behaving strangely – talking about me.   She’s worried that you’ve got cold feet, and she might tell Sioned.”
"Just stick to the rules"
Then she warns him, “I won’t have to say anything if you stick to the rules.   Eifion and I have come for lunch to sort out our differences – I just want to know if I’m wasting my breath.”
"Go back to your husband"
Ed simply tells her to go back to her husband.
"He's unaware you're such a liar!"
After Ed has left, Eifion comments, “It must be nice to be like him – chatting to you, unaware you’re such a liar!”
Britt has also been hiding eggs in the chippy flat, and as she and Aaron search for them,
"Come on, Chester, join in!"
Catrin urges Chester to join them, but he stays on the sofa with his phone game.
"They've changed the locks at Y Felin"
Then Chester tells Britt, “Oh, yes – I’m supposed to give you a message from Gwyneth.   They’ve changed the locks at Y Felin.”   This news appears to displease Britt.
"Courtney wants to punish you"
Angela and Eifion return home;  he remarks, “One meal doesn’t change anything.   I think Courtney is being very reasonable – she wants to punish you.”
"She can't hide away for ever"
Angela responds that she cannot hide away in her room for ever.”
Lo, Courtney appears
At this point Courtney does come down, and Angela makes herself scarce;
"Fancy going for a walk?"
Eifion asks her, “Do you fancy going for a walk, perhaps at Carreg Cennen Castle?   Your mother asked me to see how you are.”
“Checking up on me? demands Courtney,
"She knows how I feel"
“She knows how I feel – what does she expect?   She deceived you more than anyone.   Anyway I’m going for a walk to Y Wenallt with Dad.”
Ffion is not impressed by Kelly . . .
Kelly joins Ffion in the café  and reveals that she has had a telling-off from her boss about the article she wrote concerning Ffion,
. . . who thinks she is wasting her time
and expresses her regret that she did it.   “Do you expect me to shout ‘Hooray’?” demands Ffion,
"You're only sorry you were told off!"
“It’s too late – the damage is done!   You’re only sorry that you were told off!”   She gets up and leaves the café.
Gwern is patched up
Gwyneth applies a plaster to Gwern’s finger, which he damaged on a thorn;
Siôn waxes all poetical
Siôn remembers a Welsh poem;
“Where there was a garden, where there was beauty,
I see a strip of land thick with thorns.”
and considers it would be apt to quote at the Alternative service.   “Rhos Helyg (Sea Willow) is a well-known poem,” he says,
"Megan will probably have heard of it"
but when Gwyneth comments that she supposes that Megan is bound to have heard of it,
"I should rethink, then"
he concludes, “I should rethink, then.”
"There was plenty of room at Y Felin"
Chester laments the fact that there was much more room in the garden at Y Felin for an Easter Egg hunt.   Britt is still fuming about the changed locks, but Chester tells her, “I didn’t tell you earlier as I didn’t want to upset you – but I can’t do anything right!”
"I can't live here any more!"
When Aaron knocks his phone to the floor, Chester jumps up and exclaims, “I can’t live here any more!   There isn’t room for all of us!”
"There's no peace around here!"
is sitting on the bench as Kelly approaches her, saying, “I’d be angry too – I know you feel cornered and that everyone is against you.”   Ffion points out that she played her part in that.
"People will forget about this"
“Look at Mark – he’s angry with everyone too, but people have started to forget about it,” adds Kelly, “People will forget about this too – and Chester’s not exactly an angel!”   Ffion hopes that the disciplinary panel are of the same opinion.
"It's terrible when you're wrongly accused"
Ed passes and commiserates with Ffion’s situation;  “It’s terrible when you’re wrongly accused – it’s the same with Mark!”   Ffion suggests that Kelly should write an article asking why the real murderer has still not been caught, which Kelly rather fancies trying.   Ed leaves them.
"What's this about a holiday?"
When Ricky gets home, he asks about the holiday, and why they cannot go.   Mark realises, “Vicky has blabbed then?   Auntie Stacey ignored this family when we needed her most – we don’t want her to think she can buy our forgiveness!”
"We could have fun for the first time in ages!"
Ricky maintains that going on the holiday would not mean she was forgiven.   “We could have fun for the first time in ages – who cares if she hasn’t been in touch?”
"Go and fetch Aaron to watch the film"
Britt is about to settle down to watch ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’;  she asks Catrin to fetch Aaron, then picks up her bunch of keys,
The key to Y Felin . . .
removes the one for Y Felin
. . . is consigned to the bin
and ceremonially drops it into the bin.
Ffion is by the cashpoint when she sees Chester;  she calls after him, but he runs away down the alley.
"The guilty flee!"
She shouts, “The guilty flee!”
"Ffion has had a tough time"
Angela watches this, and is told by Kelly that Ffion has had a tough time.   “We all have our crosses to bear,” replies Angela.
"He'll be punished"
Ffion has returned to the café, but now is joined by Angela, who assures her, “He’ll be punished.”   Ffion demands what she is going to get out of all this,
"I'd give my life for a clear conscience right now!"
and is told, “A clear conscience – I’d give my life for that right now!”
"I just want him to admit it was wrong"
Ffion explains, “I just want him to say sorry – is that too much to ask?   I don’t want a court case, or to send him to prison.   I just want him to admit that it was wrong – I don’t think he realises I’m suffering.”
Angela enquires if she will ever be able to forgive him;
"When someone crosses the line . . ."
Ffion replies, “People have forgiven me, so I should, but once someone crosses the line, there’s no turning back – some things are unforgivable!”
Chocolate egg – to ease stress
As Mark rocks the pram, Vicky returns with a Thornton’s Easter Egg for him;  “Chocolate releases endorphins which make people less stressed – and you are,” she tells him,
"Perhaps she could help out with other things"
“You should take Ricky on holiday – if Stacey can buy a holiday for two, perhaps she could help out with other things too.”
After pondering briefly . . .
After some consideration, Mark takes out his phone, and leaves a message;
. . . Mark leaves a message for Stacey
“Stace, it’s me again.   Sorry about that message yesterday – I was angry with you.   I shouldn’t have said what I did.   Hopefully I’ll see you soon – and . . . thank you.”
As Gwern eats chocolate, Gwyneth pours two glasses of red wine;
"The hot cross buns are a bit overdone!"
Siôn has rather overdone the hot cross buns in the toaster.   He says, “Sorry for yesterday, having doubts about our relationship.
"We understand each other"
It doesn’t matter what others think, as long as we understand each other.
"I see Britt in a different light now"
And I understand you better than I ever did Britt – I see her in a different light now.”
Angela asks if he went for a walk with Courtney and managed to talk to her.   He tells her that Courtney went out with Jim, adding,
"What you've done is terrible!"
“She’s angry, what do you expect?   What you’ve done is terrible – you’re just going to have to go through this!”
"It's all over between us, isn't it?"
Angela demands, “It’s all over between us, isn’t it?   Answer me!   I don’t want to try and get you to forgive me every day, if I’ve lost you already!
"Can you ever forgive me?"
Do you think you can ever forgive me?”
"I don't know!"
Eifion, looking downcast, admits that he does not know.   Angela storms off to go for a walk.
Ed reads once more about his exploit
Outside the Deri, Ed sits in his taxi, looking at the Western Post website on his iPad;  he reads again the report of Dewi’s murder.   Suddenly Angela gets into the passenger seat;  she announces,
"Ed, I was so happy with you!"
“I’ve felt better – and I know when!   Before we came to this dump!   Ed, I was so happy with you!”
"You're trying to cause trouble!"
He responds angrily, “If you’re trying to cause trouble, just let me know where I stand.”
“I’n not causing trouble – I just want you!” she exclaims.   He demands that she tell him her secret or keep her mouth shut.
Ed puts his foot down . . .
Suddenly he accelerates the car, heading straight for the wall of the doctors’ surgery, then abruptly slams on the brakes,
. . . terrifying Angela
leaving Angela extremely shaken.   He promises, “Next time I won’t stop!”   She makes a very rapid exit from the car, and he drives off round the corner.
