| Even Gwynfor cannot believe his eyes |
“What are you doing here? Why are you home, Mark!” she demands. He tells her he has not escaped, and they should talk somewhere less public. “Go upstairs to Vicky, and I’ll come up,” she tells him,

Ed rushes into the shop flat and announces to Sioned, “I’ve just seen Mark! He went into the café – he’s out of prison! What did you do with that phone? Tell me!”
![]() |
| "I hid it in Maes-y-Deri" |
She replies that she hid it at Maes-y-Deri, in order to make Mark look guilty, then phoned the police to tell them where to find it.
![]() |
| Ed's world is once again falling apart |
“You may as well have put me in a cell and thrown away the key!” he shouts, “You’ve given the police the only evidence against me! You’ve been so stupid! Thanks to you, everyone will know what I’ve done!”
![]() |
| "I was looking forward to getting that tent!" |
DJ comes out of Awyr Iach without the tent he won at the auction, as Dol was the only one there, doing the vacuuming; “You’re worse than Bobi! You’ve got mucking out to do,” Cadno tells him.

Just along the road, Siôn and Gwyneth are loading boxes into Awyr Iach’s people carrier; Megan sees this and asks Iolo what is going on.

In a typical Dol turnaround, she professes, “I knew that one wouldn’t hurt a fly!” and threatens Sara, when she accuses Dol of changing her tune. Debbie instructs Dol to sort out the electricity before she sees Mark, and is surprised to hear, “It’s already done – I paid the bill! Come on, I want to see the ‘Cwmderi One’!”
![]() |
| "Right, I'm off home" |
Mark is about to leave the café flat, when Dol comes in

Megan gets to the point; “I thought I made my feelings clear last week, that I didn’t want Gwyneth moving in here.”
![]() |
| "It's not your decision, is it?" |
Gwyneth replies that it is not Megan’s decision. “You’re completely selfish! All this affects so much more than your two. You’re not going to listen to me, so I have no choice. I tried to be fair with you, but I obviously have to go to the police! It’s about time they found out about the fraud at Bethania!”
![]() |
| Gwyneth calls Megan's bluff |
Gwyneth replies, “I’ll come with you! You’ve been hiding this for months – come on!” Megan argues that she has been giving Siôn a chance to make things right, but Gwyneth points out,
![]() |
| "I'd keep my mouth shut if I were you!" |
“The police call it breaking the law. I’d keep my mouth shut if I were you! Now excuse me – we have unpacking to do.” As Megan leaves, Siôn is wearing a satisfied smile.
![]() |
| DJ now has his luxury tent |
At the second attempt, DJ has collected his tent; he reads the label, “Four-man, mesh panels, fully sewn-in groundsheet.” Cadno considers it is time to give Marian’s old stuff to Megan’s shop, as she has to face doing so some time.
![]() |
| "Why don't we test it tonight?" |
DJ suggests, Why don’t you, me Bobi and Arthur test the tent tonight? We could pitch it in Cae Glas.”

| "What – in March?" |
Cadno is not keen to do this in March, although he advocates taking blankets and cwtching up to keep warm.
![]() |
| Mark explains why he was released |
Ricky is back from school and welcomes Mark, who explains, “I missed you more than anyone. My DNA was not on the phone, and Dewi had an app that measured how far he moved. It showed he stopped moving before I got to the flat.”
Debbie proposes that they start celebrating, but Mark does not want this, only to spend time with Ricky,

| "You two can go – now" |
and tells Debbie and Dol to go.

| "I've got a favour for you" |
Then she announces she would like to do them a favour, by offering them first option to rent her house. Sara refuses, saying that they do not want to rent,

![]() |
| "It's not a nice place" |
After she has gone, Mark answers the question; “It’s not a nice place. I’ve been in before, so I know all the tricks, but it’s still terrible! Don’t ever do anything stupid – I don’t want you going through the same nightmare.”
![]() |
| Does he look guilty? |
Ricky looks concerned.
![]() |
| "I've seen bigger rabbit-hutches!" |
Jason and Sara look around number 11; Sara maintains that she has seen bigger rabbit-hutches, but Jason argues, “A coat of paint and it would be like new. It’s big enough for us now.”

Sara concedes, “You might have a point – until we find something better!”

![]() |
| . . . so Sioned takes control |
She acknowledges, “Today has been difficult for you, seeing Mark and wondering what will happen next. All you have to do is keep yourself together, and behave as if everything is fine. I don’t want to lose you!
![]() |
| He looks as if cracking is the first thing he will do |
“You can’t change the past, but you can choose your future – as long as you don’t crack.”
![]() |
| "Don't pretend you're happy together" |
Iolo goes to see Gwyneth at Awyr Iach; “Don’t pretend you’re happy together.

| "You're going to pretend to enjoy every second!" |
“You’re going, and you’ll pretend to enjoy every second,” she orders him.
